Cue Recording Studios

No one touches my records but Blaine Misner who I met at this comfortable and superbly equipped recording studio. Six or seven projects later my confidence in and affection for Cue has grown. Dusty is great! They sincerely work to meet the specific needs of the artists and excel at doing so. And there is nothing in recording that I know of that they can’t handle. :)

Just finished recording Flat Daddy’s latest album Baby! at Cue (
). This is not our first album, but the latest of several. We keep coming back to Cue because of the talented and professional staff, great service and quality of their gear. Don’t own a Black Beauty snare, AC30 or high-​end Martin guitar? Not to worry, they likely have one lying around for you to use in your latest recording. Special shout-​out to Blaine Misner, an outstanding engineer and producer.

I was very fortunate to work with John Krauss at Cue Recording. I was doing a recording for hypnosis for relaxation. Being a small business owner I wanted to record somewhere quality but that also wouldn’t break the bank. CUE check all my boxed. John was very helpful and very responsive (even when I wasn’t!) and made sure that my recording was the best that it could be!

According to their website, Cue recording has been «making great records for 25 years» in Falls Church, Virginia. They have an impressive client list and maybe one day they can add my name to it.
I came to Cue Recording via
and recorded my voice acting demo through them 4 weeks ago.
Based on the website pictures, I believe that I was in the Red Room Studio. Sure, the carpet was well worn and the room felt a little aged, but it all felt like the room oozed with experience. My demo is my resume and I want to work with someone I trust. After I settled in, the trust was instant.
My demo producer was actually hundreds of miles away while I was in Falls Church, Va. A mic to the phone in the booth and his voice was loud and clear on my head set in the other room. The potentially daunting was made possible and seamless. Miles were bridged in an instant.
The audio engineer was great. He gave me great feedback and was on his game the whole time. Dude was a wiz on the sound board and on point with every task all night.
Now, I am a recording studio virgin and have nothing to compare this to. My bullshit meter is set on «high» and it never went off. These folks are the real deal and know how to get the job done. Besides, one of their artisits won a Grammy this year. You can’t do that with a second rate studio.
