Waitress was really nice and attentive but the food was terrible. Maybe this is the same at all Applebee’s. The chicken was a rubbery piece of mystery meat. Not going back…

I’m usually a huge fan and Applebee’s but this one took it to another level. The food was lacking any sort of flavor. It literally had no flavor. Some sides were missing so we had to wait for that even longer and ate our food cold. The manager never came to apologize as a courtesy. 4 of us received our meal with a couple of sides missing, the fifth one did not get her plate and we had to remind the server about it. They were not busy for all of this to happen. I’ll drive to Woodbridge Applebee’s next time.

Great server and the Stir Fry(new menu item) was delicious. My meal was simple. We did the 2 for $ 20 w/two salads as the appetizers, a Stir Fry($ 3 extra) and his was a Sirloin Steak($ 4 extra) for the entrée. Portion sizes were great but my significant other ordered a sweat tea which wasn’t sweat and his steak wasn’t cooked as ordered. Otherwise, dinner was great.

I’m not the type to write reviews and I tend to not write any when the food is terrible but tonight was a new level of terrible! First we walked in and stood there for 2 mins before anyone acknowledged us. That’s fine I can get over that however we waited close to 10 mins for anyone to come to our table and take our drink order. By this time I was getting a bit frustrated. I ended up putting our appetizer on the little computer thing and that was the only way we got anyone to come to the table. At this point my boyfriend and I were considering just leaving but then our appetizer came and we found out from Canicio(I butchered his name) that we were suppose to be waited by Amy(I think). Canicio was suppose to be our waiter but Amy decided she wanted the table and then didn’t even bother to come! Also! When we got seated there was not one but 2 tables that no one bothered to clear and the floor was just dirty, and it was like no one took the time properly wipe the table. Now the food. The appetizer we got was the chicken quesadilla which was average at best. I got the crispy brew house chicken and the only decent part about it was the mashed potatoes. The chicken crumbled weirdly in my mouth and it was so very bland and a bit too crispy. My boyfriend got the all day brunch burger which was pretty good. The ONLY redeeming value at this place was Canicio, he was funny and prompt in trying to fix his coworker’s mistake. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures because I just wanted to get out of there. I have never been so appalled as I am tonight.

The service was so slow on March 20, 2016 I almost grew a beard before a waiter gave us menues. They delivered the wrong salad dressing, thank God I ordered it on the side. My iced tea came without a spoon or straw. After one glass i only got a refill when I flagged down another waiter who was not assigned to us. There are better options in Falls Church for dinner. Avoid.

Haven’t been to Applebee’s in a loooong time, but for some reason I’ve been craving their 4-Cheese Mac for a while now. I decided to stop by for a quick lunch since my appointment was close by. We were seated by the bartender/server/hostess immediately upon walking in. She was literally doing everything lol. & even though she had around 6⁄7 tables while we were there, she did an excellent job & we never had to wait for refills. I just wish I could remember her name :( But anyways — I ordered my 4-cheese mac from the lunch menu. They give you the option to order a combination of classic items & signature items. If my memory serves me correct 2 classic items are for $ 6.99, a classic & a signature for $ 7.99, &2 signature items for $ 8.99. Not bad prices considering there was a wide variety to choose from. The lunch menu is just a smaller portion of items found on the dinner menu. The 4-cheese mac is a signature item so I doubled up 2 signature items. So really I got a full size for $ 8.99 vs the $ 13.29 it’s listed for on the dinner menu :) & I was definitely not disappointed. It comes topped with honey pepper chicken tenders & bacon. It has to be my absolute favorite thing there! We were pretty much in & out in under an hour so I did not try any dessert. I know their churro s’mores is amazing though. The restaurant itself was pretty clean. I did read past reviews before coming here & most were bad but I think it’s as a result of a few inconsistent servers. Thankfully ours was amazing. Little short blonde lady with glasses in case a manager is reading this :) I’ll definitely be back to this location. Especially for lunch.

First of all the we use to love Applebee’s. This one was incredibly dirty, actually borderline filthy. We were seated after a wait and the table across from us had stacks and stacks of dirty dishes and a bucket along with a broom(that sat there the whole time we were eating). Our waitress was not very helpful, we asked what she thought of the brand new«cheeseburger eggrolls» and she made a face and said they tasted«weird and really weren’t very good» so we ordered the crispy green beans INSTEADAND then she brings us the aforementioned«not good» eggrolls anyways along with our green beans and I said we didn’t order those because you said they were weird and not good, she seemed a little annoyed, my husband asked for a side of mayo for his burger and she brought him warm mayo packets(gross) we never received refills on our drinks we had to ask another server, we waited another 10 minutes before the server relayed the message to our server and finally received a refill of our drinks. Sadly our server spent most of her time flirting with a table of young men. So… she brings our check AND proceeds to tell us(as though she’s doing us some huge favor) that she went ahead and took the cheeseburger eggrolls off our bill… WENEVERORDEREDTHEMBECAUSEYOUSAIDTHEYWEREWEIRDANDNOTGOOD, That being said they had NO business being on our bill anyways.

A lot of drunk locals and the bathrooms are a bit on the chilly side. On the flip side– Fair prices. Decent food. Good service. Can’t complain.

A families Applebee’s review. BLUF: Pretty good experience. About what we’d hope for. Good meal /great service. 4 stars on balance. 5 Stars if you compare to similar chains focused on the mass casual dining(ex. Friday’s, Chili’s, Ruby Tuesday’s). We have not been to this Applebee’s for a long time. Previous experiences were not great and it is easy enough to find a good place to eat in Falls Church. Decided to give it a shot after an advertisement we saw. Here is a step through of our experience. Arrival: greeted pleasantly. Not very busy, so seated quickly. It is surprising how empty it is for a Sunday night. Should be a good test of their attentiveness… not like they are going to be distracted. The bar in this place takes up the lions share of the space. Seems like they are really looking to capture the happy hour crowd. Seating: Seated in a booth that seemed clean and comfortable. They have a kids menu which is always helpful. Waiter is polite and prompt. Menu: New items that seem good. Really, most everything looks good. We’re pretty hungry, so it may be the stomach talk’n. Came here specifically because of the loaded brisket enchiladas. I’ll be giving that a shot. Kids eating Pizza and mini burgers. Wife having the chicken and shrimp. I added a strawberry margarita at the end after waiter put away the order pad. Often times that leads to forgetfulness. Wait: Service so far has been polite and punctual. It is a little cold, but if there were more people, it would probably be fine. Margarita made it out quickly… Not bad. Bathrooms: ok. Not dirty, but felt a bit messy, especially with so few people at the restaurant. Soap was full and sinks worked. Wet floor from water near the sink or other fluid near the urinal /toilet. Again, not bad at all but could be better. Meal: overall fairly decent. The enchiladas were good. I didn’t taste the brisket as much when all mixed together, but they were pretty good. I’d order again. Kids seemed to like their meal. I tried a bite of the burger. It was a slightly burnt, but not bad. Wife had a chicken and shrimp and said shrimp were good, but chicken was not as spicy as she hoped. Everyone likes the fries that came with kids meal. Waiter checked on us once. It was plenty enough. If we needed him, we could have flagged him down. Had the manager come by for a typical check in after the meal. This almost always seems disingenuous but this time it was actually informative. Found out that they will be closing this location and and the shops on either side in the next couple of years to make room for more condos and a Whole Foods. Had not heard that, so nice to catch the scoop. Check: Everything was captured correctly. Really all you need to get that right is to make sure that everything that was ordered is in the menu… nothing more, nothing less. Drives me crazy when restaurants screw that up. Overall: good experience. I’d come back. The food is about what you’d expect for an Applebee’s. I remember Applebee’s having much better food many years back(15+). I guess it’s too hard to stay great and compete these days. Still, this was decent and an overall positive experience. I’ll rate 4 Stars overall against restaurants in the area, but if you are in the mood specifically for Applebee’s or similar and looking for a decent, fairly inexpensive meal, I’d rate this specific location 5 stars relative to other Applebee’s and similar chains in the area.

It’s sad that Applebee’s always gets the rep it does. This Applebee’s in Falls Church has been pretty decent each of the 3 times I’ve been there while living in Arlington. It’s obviously not a place to have a gourmet meal, so it sucks to see people rating it like it is. Applebee’s is a place where you can come to have a variety of food for a pretty reasonable price. They have many different cuisines and actually some pretty good deals. They recently upgraded their appetizer platter with letting you build your own entirely. This is definitely something I know people have wanted for a while. They have also started having deals Monday-Thursday, like burger night, wing night, and some other ones to fill out the week. The service at the Falls Church location has been pretty good as well. If you’re looking for a nice little meal in Falls Church you can get out of here with a full stomach, possibly some leftovers, and a small check. Don’t overlook Applebee’s.

I have been a huge of Applebee’s 2 for 20 forever. This is the closest Applebee’s to our new place and we’ve been here quite a few times. I think we should give them some good reviews to help them along. Yes I agree there are one or two new bees waiters that need more training but overall the services are pretty good. We are not pushover customers either. We want our food cooked and served just so … Split Oriental Chicken Salad nuts, crispy noodle and dressing on the side served 1st, appetizer and other main course serve later together. Mostly they got it right and if not, they are really good at correcting them. That’s good enough for me. Good food! good sports! good service! I think this is another keeper!

I came here a couple of times with family. On one occasion, I got the 2 for $ 20. My dad ordered the 7oz steak and I got a four cheese pasta dish. We also go to choose an appetizer with our meal but we got salads. The salads were a really good size and my Caesar salad was delicious. My dad enjoyed his steak, potatoes, and veggies. I did not like the four cheese pasta I received at all! It was really bland. It was like consuming creamy, tasteless carbs. When I happened to taste a piece of garlic in the pasta, I was like, «Yess! Flavor!!! Finalllyy!!» My mom supposedly liked her Thai salad but I did not like the dressing at all :/I don’t know why she liked the dressing – it just didn’t taste right, like too limey or… oh! I think it kind of tasted like sesame oil or some kind of Chinese dressing so I was thinking, «Why would that taste be on a *Thai* salad?» Someone else in my fam ordered the shrimp scampi I believe and that was reeeeeally good. I also got the all you can eat ribs on another occasion and the ribs were good. If i got them again, I’d only order the honey ones. The other Chipotle(???) ribs were much too spicy for me and the Asian(?) ribs I think didn’t have enough pizazz.

Server was terrible. Restaurant wasn’t busy but our server was MIA most of the time. Servers/cooks were sitting in the back of the restaurant on their phones. Our server never checked in with us, and I had to hunt him down to get our check after waiting 40 minutes after he brought to-go boxes. Food was decent. Filled out online survey from receipt and manager followed up to apologize. He said he was mailing gift cards that day to make up for it. Never received them. Contacted corporate several weeks later. Manager had someone else call to apologize for him this time and they claim they are sending them now.

My GF and I often use the Applebee’s Curb Side service when we come back into town after a trip. Tonight I placed an Internet order and paid in advance with a credit card. The web page would not allow me to add a proper tip. The page said the order would be ready at 8:18. I arrived at 8:15 and parked in the designated pick up spot. A few minutes later, another car pulled in to the other pick up spot. About 8:25, a server came out and greeted the other driver like an old friend. He retrieved their order, collected the tab and went back in the restaurant without even acknowledging I was there. About 8:35, I got out of the car, went inside and found the manager. He went to the bar to check on the order. The bartender was the server who took care of the other order. My order was in the bar ticket strip and the order was actually sitting on the back bar. Excuses were made about someone calling in sick. There was no excuse for the bartender not getting someone to deliver a paid order. The manager gave me a note on his business card for $ 10 off our next visit. One last note-I ordered a Sriracha Shrimp app in addition to the two salads. I hadn’t had it before and it sounded really good. «BBQ spice and Sriracha chile lime sauce.» The shrimp is breaded, fried, oily and not good. BBQ? No. Lime? Not apparent. This place is clueless on too many levels.

Not sure why this location gets so many bad reviews. Must be a select group of servers causing it. Our server on the other had was quick, attentive and accurate. A long time ago I had vowed never to go to Applebee’s due to constant bad food we had there. On a whim based on how delicious some of the new«brew pub» entrees looked on the commercial we decided to go. I had the brew pub philly and it was one of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. The meat was the consistency, flavor and rareness of filet mignon. You expect lesser cuts for something like this but not this time. Additionally my wife had the Parmesan shrimp and steak. It was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Bottoms line is I will be going to Applebee’s a lot more when looking for a casual dining restaurant. This location really made that happen, and the food was on point.

This is a review for their late night happy hour. Applebee’s late night is the best time to get some delicious apps for a grand bargain. The food is always fresh and delicious and their service is second to none! Not sure why the ratings here are so low… My experience has been nothing but wonderful.

Applebee’s ugh. Just the thought of it makes me cringe. The whole plastic, corporate gastronomic experience smacks of the taste of cardboard and plastic. However, as far as Applebee’s goes, this one is fair. We ordered two beers and a small order of pot stickers. Fairly basic, the potstickers were just enough to ward off a monster pus hunger. These were mini potstickers with a somewhat dry texture. This Applebees was clean and the service was fine, but again this is just an average foodie event, nothing special.

While they’ve made improved menu changes and have lots of food to choose from, the service is consistently sub-par. The servers here just don’t take pride in their job, and have no urgency to put in your food or get it to your table, even though the restaurant is hardly ever at capacity. They make some of their dishes well, but the long wait times and lackluster service have turned me away from eating here.
