Labors Of Love

I love, love this little shop! It is so quaint and I am inspired each time I enter the doors. I love to browse and see all the wonderful new projects and beautiful new yarns they have displayed. There is always so much to see. It is such a treat for me to spend time there. The ladies are so sweet and helpful, and always interested in the project you are working on. I find myself making excuses to go into the shop, it is a breath of fresh air.

I am pressed for time tonight but I just wanted to rave about this wonderful little shop in Fallbrook. My Mother and Father lived in Fallbrook and now my sister and I own The Ranch there. I never leave the area without going at least once; purchasing a little hat for the kids in my family or some wonderful little treasure they have. This beautiful store is clean, well lighted, organized and most of all, Jean is beyond sweet and helpful. I adore going. I am not sure what a previous reviewer means about that they dont have what she is looking for and «thats it» but I will say that it is nicely stocked with wonderful yarns, patterns and most of all help. Go it for yourself and see! They even offer classes which Im dying to go to but it seems like Im not in town when there is the class I wish.

I know everybody raves about this place, but I’ve been in twice and got absolutely no help at all. Both times I was told that they don’t have what I need and then that’s it. «No. We don’t have that.» And then nothing else! Not a «I’m sorry,» or any acknowledgement of my departure at all.
They do have amazing things in there, and I will try them again, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to rate them higher.

I can’t believe more people haven’t commented on this great jewel of a store. Its a treat to walk through from beginning to end and one you have to walk through at least 3 times. In the front they have darling gift items, well priced, then comes the delicious yarns all arranged really well along with nice samples of what can be made with the yarns and free patterns all throughout the store. The owners could not be more helpful and friendly. Even when there are other people in the store the staff always takes time for each person and really makes you feel special. I admit some of the yarns they sell you could get at Michael’s and get cheaper with a coupon but they have all the colors of a given brand. For me when I go away purchasing something from this store I take away the contentment and happiness I feel when shopping in this store, not only is the store a delight but the owners are as well.
Sadly yarn shops tend to be run by snoody and snobby people in my experience like all 3 of the yarn shops in North San Diego County, but not this shop.
It’s worth the drive to Fallbrook to experience this little place of treasures!
