Denny’s

Food is average, I mean it’s denny’s. The middle age waitresses with the pixie cut and the highlights is awful, she’s rude and gives you attitude. We’ve sat at her table twice and both times she was her awful, grumpy self. I ordered toast and she asked what kind. I said the regular toast? And she said I dont know what regular if for you. And I looked at her so confused and she asked white or wheat? What the heck? She should’ve just asked that when I asked for toast, instead of being snappy with an attitude.

Local hot spot where everyone ends up. Nuri is the best– so sweet and helpful! She is amazing! :)

This place is just darling! great food, great ambience. cheerful, friendly and prompt service. what more does one need?

By far the worst service. The staff looks at you like your retarded. Never will i come here again.

I’ve been debating on reviewing Denny’s or not because it’s in my town and I go their a lot, but it’s time to give in and say the truth .
I would always go in the afternoons or at night and every single time and I mean it ! EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO, I get the most horrible service ever !!
They always get my order wrong let’s start with that .
They always take FOREVER, with my food and I always order the same thing which is moons over my hammy but just cheese and egg (im vegetarian) and instead of hash browns substitute with French fries .
They always forget my fries, and when I ask them for them, they come back cold, I always complain and they apologize and all and want to give my cold fries for free .
I’m not eating those, I’m not being picky but this has happened to me like over 20 times, so I gave up and rather go all the way to temecula to ihop and eat up their instead.

Came for late breakfast/​lunch on a Saturday. The place was half empty, yet the hostess was insisting on seating us in a booth right near the entrance. When we asked for a booth next to the window, she replied that the only one available was one for 6 people. Well, it was just the two of us & we noticed at least 5 other booths by the window available. I told her that we wanted a clean one near the rear. People were sitting in that area, so we could see that the section was open. She finally seated us.
Our server came right away. We had very good service. Food was typical Denny’s fare, but the coffee was HORRIBLE! It was so bitter. Our server gave me a fresh cup, but it still was bitter. Not sure if someone made it double strong or we were given the Bold blend, but it was terrible!

Long wait at 10 am. Must be the sale for AARP members. Our hostess is a host. I’m getting the veggie loaded omelet, 590 – 770 calories. My husband loves the place. He’s been going to Denny’s for more than 40 years.

Loved the customer service! Server was very friendly! Her attitude was chill. Made sure we were doing well. She gave us a complimentary dessert!
Food was good! Nothing was undercooked or burned. Ordered the country fried steak breakfast and my boyfriend had the omelet steak. It was definitely yummy. I definitely would come back.

On the menu it says fish and chips with one side. My girlfriend ordered it and said for the side she wanted a salad. The waitress asked what she wanted for the other side of which she replied it offered one side with the fish and chips. She got her salad then the waitress brought out her meal with just fish on the plate she asked her where were the chips? Wait for it he didn’t know want kind of chips she wanted.

Love their burgers! Service is good, we enjoy this place.

Been there a couple times. Never great. I just walked out because no one came to serve us. After 10 min waitress walked by and just said she would get to us then proceeded to take her time to chat behind the counter. Terrible customer service. First time I walk out of a restaurant. Btw, am I the only one bothered by the tounge wagging waitress?! So gross at a place where food is served. She was the rude one to top it off! Won’t be back.

Wish they had enough servers working. Last 2 times we have gone in to eat we sat up front waiting for almost 10 mins without anyone saying a word to us. They werent even busy. Sadly we walked out the last 2 times that we have tried to go.

While the food in this particular Denny’s has been slightly better than other’s I’ve visited, the food remains at best, consistently mediocre.
Then, the one shining star of culinary triumph — their broccali cheese soup — something our entire family came weekly for a bowl of on the weekend — was recently to our chagrin removed from the menu.
Everything else we’ve had, from the fish and chips, to the club sandwiches, to the burgers and expecially the grilled fish (tilapia) entrée was simply low quality food prepared without any thought to taste.
They’ve spent all this money to renovate the décor. How about just focusing on improving the food and service? Sorry, but I just expect a little more than low quality food and service. Basic American dinner food simply isn’t rocket science…

Great food but seriously every server sucked ass accept Sharon and Paul, they were either rude or half assing everything, what I do have to say though is Sharon is a hard worker who will always fulfill your request and Paul is also a hard worker who will do anything to make your visit at the fallbrook Denny’s the best. Definitely ask for Sharon or Paul if you want a good ass Denny’s experience

Newly renovated! Very clean! Food and service has gotten much better! Elizabeth and Rockie are best servers.

Three stars for the food. It’s usually consistent (although I hate the way they make the fries now). Two stars for the service. Slow, vague, chaotic with a flair of disinterest. #yawn

Been going here since I’ve moved to Fallbrook 2 yrs ago. The renovation was the best thing that happened to this place. The service was a lot faster and a lot nicer.

By far worst Denny’s I’ve been too. Terrible service. Took awhile to be seated let alone get served. The floor was covered in French fries and crumbs.
I don’t know how it was, but seems like the reviews saying everything has gone down hill is true. However it doesn’t seem that they are sitting around. Everytime I looked at the server, he was working… but the place was a mess and there were maybe 3 tables. I have no idea what he was always working on… wasn’t our food, that’s for sure.
Save your money, go to the grocery store and buy a TV dinner. Just as good with better service.

We all know that Denny’s doesn’t have the best food; we shouldn’t have high expectations when dining at ANY Denny’s. Same can be said for McDonald’s and IHOP… you get what you pay for.
So why did I give this one 4 stars? This particular Denny’s has a soft spot in my heart. It’s been around since I was a little kid, and I still remember coming here when they first opened. And coming here again when I was a senior in high school and my friends and I came to dine in on late start Wednesdays. And coming here *again* when my best friend and I came back from our road trip from Solvang. I can think of so many other memories I’ve had here, but I’ll save it.
I appreciate that this place is open 24 hours; it is really one of the very few places in Fallbrook that’s open for that period of time. If anyone has been to Fallbrook or at least lived there like I have, everything closes around 6 pm (9pm or midnight if you’re lucky); you really can’t do much except drive to the nearest city like Oceanside or Temecula.
The people who work here always serve with a smile. And because Fallbrook has such a small-​town atmosphere, some of the employees will know you, especially if you’re a regular. It is very rare when this place is crowded, unless you are eating here during a holiday or special day like Father’s Day.
Why 4 stars and not the full 5? It’s Denny’s. Has Denny’s ever wowed anyone? :P
*Only* come here if: a) you live in Fallbrook/​are visiting Fallbrook for whatever reason, b) if it’s super late at night/​super early in the morning, and c) you’d rather not eat at the local Robertito’s (which is also pretty good, in my opinion).
I live in the city now and while I do love living there, I do miss the personal, small-​town vibe that Fallbrook offers (and that I took for granted while growing up). :)
