I’ve had my hair done here once. Never again! I was checked in by a small child. When I went to check out the girl at the front desk charged me one price and then the owner came over and told her to charge me more than what she said in the first place. The stylist used a product that made my head itch.

I had a terrible experience at this salon yesterday. My daughter called yesterday afternoon and asked if she could schedule a consult to find out what it would cost to get a certain thing done to her hair. She spoke to a very nice woman on the phone who told her it would only take 5 – 10 minutes and she could just come down that evening and did not need an appointment. Fast forward to 6PM. We walk through the door, the bell goes off, and then we wait at the desk for at least 5 minutes before anyone acknowledges our presence. A women walks out(clearly for some other reason and is surprised to see us standing there) and asks if she can help us. My daughter tells her that she called earlier about having a consult and was told to stop by in the evening. The woman looks confused but says, «Ok, have a seat, someone will be right with you.» We walk in and sit on the little sofa near the entrance, happy to wait patiently as there are other customers in the salon. As we sit down, the woman who we spoke to at the desk walks over to the(apparently only?) stylist and in weirdly hushed tones gestures to us and is explaining why we are there. The stylist makes a nasty, annoyed face at us. At this point, I am already considering leaving. This interaction between the two employees appears to continue as they walk into a back room and close the door. They come out a couple of minutes later, both look extremely annoyed, and then the woman who initially spoke to us leaves with shopping bags. From what I could observe, this left the one stylist alone. We could see that she was cutting a child’s hair and also had a woman sitting in another chair with foils in her hair. She seemed overwhelmed. (At any point, had she or the other employee said, «I’m sorry, now is not a good time, can we schedule you for an appointment?» or something along these lines, we would have been happy to do that. They did not do this.) The child’s haircut was done and that family left. The stylist(now the only employee there that we could see) then leads a third client from a space we couldn’t see to a room in the back. The stylist that was there continued to look pissed off for the entire time we were there. As far as we could hear, she didn’t say a word to either client she was working on the entire time we were there. After waiting for a little over 30 minutes with no indication that a) it would be x amount of time approximately before anyone could talk to us, or b) it was not a good time and could we come back at x time, we decided to leave. It was one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. Honestly, after the interchange between the two employees and the glaring, we should have just left. I already knew at that point that I didn’t want to give these people a dime. Very disappointing. Check out Ledoux Salon & Spa on President Ave. for a far better customer service experience.

Love my new red hair color done by Caitlin. My first trip to this salon with a great first impression clean, well lit, with fancy stations with wood. Looking forward to going back in the future and perhaps other services.

I’ve been getting my hair done by Jessica here for a little over a year now. My hair’s never been better. She listens to exactly what I want to do with it, promises not to let me ever cut it all off again no matter how much I beg her too, and gets my hair the perfect shade of red that gets me millions of compliments daily. A bit on the pricier side, but it’s worth it for the result. I’ve never been able to find a hairstylist I could put so much trust in, which I think is really important. They also offer many other services that you’d expect from a salon, too. I just haven’t tried anything.

I have been coming to this salon for about 3 years now, and cannot really complain about the quality. The girls are all very nice and they always do an amazing job. I’ve gone in twice not knowing what to do to my hair and both times I came out looking completely different and absolutely loving it. The only thing that I would complain about is the amount of time it took to do my hair. I have a lot of hair and I did foil highlights. I understand that it takes a long time to do them, but the last time I went there, I spent 4 hours getting my hair done. It would have been quicker had they not scheduled other cuts during my appointment and made me sit under the dryer for an hour, but I know now to tell them ahead of time that I have a lot of hair and will need at least 2 hours. I have never been displeased with my cut or color and definitely would suggest them to a friend. The foil highlights always come out looking natural and the girls are not catty, which is a great change from the previous salon that I went to. Everything is kept professional and they have a very extensive hair coloring station to make the exact color that you are looking for. Their new location has much better parking and the new building looks much nicer as well. I have only ever done a cut, color and eyebrow wax but they also offer massages and body waxing as well.
