This is a terrific little bakery in Kirkland that specializes in wedding cakes and cupcakes. The cupcakes and other treats are always terrific and you can tell the owner (s) really have their heart in this place. A few of us go in every Friday after lunch and wouldn’t miss it. The counter help is always nice and the atmosphere is friendly. This is one of Kirkland’s best of anything and well worth the stop.

I love, love, love SweetCakes, not to be confused with Sweet Cakes the bakery on the Eastside. This catering company is fantastic! They catered our wedding and they were great. They also did the rehearsal dinner. From the very beginning they were available, flexible, allowed me to make many changes to the menu (because I was a fickle bride) without any problems, and in the end work exactly within our budget. I got rave reviews about the food from so many of our guests and the buffet display was so elegantly done, and it highlighted every item on the menu. I also had a cocktail hour with appetizers that her staff served to the guest. They were professional, friendly, efficient, and the food was delicious! And can I say that my wedding followed the SNOWSTORM 2012 and even though she lost power, the kitchen they had to use wasn’t completely equipped; Lisa of SweetCakes and her staff kept their cool and helped make our wedding a beautiful day! Food is such a big part of weddings, I’d trust Lisa and her team every time!
