The fries are a little on the saltier side. The chili cheese dog has a bland flavor. It looks cuter on the outside than the food quality.

Small Fryes’ reputation has taken a hit, at least over the past decade. It’s more expensive than it used to be, and the quality of the food may in fact have gone down but I’m no expert on how things were. Selling points: 1) Fries cooked in real lard(woohoo!) 2) Good burgers 3) Decent milkshakes 4) Not a chain Drawbacks 1) Expensive for what you get(this is disappointing considering its reputation as a downhome dive) 2) Wait times tend to be long(perhaps a consequence of employee turnover) 3) The only bathroom is a portable and there is a dumpster nearby. Bottom line: hoity-toity, germ-phobic carpetbaggers shouldn’t try it. Quit driving the reviews down, guys.

This place has the best bacon burgers I have ever had such is because unlike some places the burger doesn’t slide out of the bun. They also have great Oreo milkshakes which are worth the stop.

Umm… I had my reservations when we picked eating at this hamburger stand. I thought it might be better though because there were a lot of people eating here and I was super hungry. I should have listened to my gut and not my stomach. First, the back parking lot area with the benches smell a bit. Perhaps this is because of the giant trash bin that sits nearby. We kept getting whiffs of this sweaty odor. This was the first sign that this place wasn’t going to be that great. I think the smell just made my appetite go down and also question the sanitation of the food quality here. The food was okay. They had this deal that was three cheeseburgers for $ 5. The cheeseburgers were okay but they lathered too much ketchup and mustard. The condiments were so overpowering that I didn’t get the taste of the cheeseburger. Their curly fries tasted a little like bacon for some reason. I wonder if they cook the fries in bacon fat. No bueno in any case. The one redeeming factor was the chili cheese fries. The fries were crispy and the chili cheese on top tasted pretty good. Since we were eating with people, I didn’t say anything about the smells but I think we all knew and were being polite. lol.

This place is a divey little roadside burger joint and exactly what we were looking for after a day of exploring Fall City. We had burgers, fries, and mint chocolate milkshakes + a small Vanilla cone for our pup. Good selection of shakes and ice cream — pretty extensive menu too. Staff was nice. Great place to grab a bite on a sunny weekend.

My son and I stopped her on a whim after his golf match and I think we started something… the food and service was amazing!!! We are followers now and will probably eat here once a week. My picky ass son is already nagging me to go back. Great spot! Highly recommended

I’ve passed by this little burger stand several times and finally decided to stop to treat my kids. I’m so glad I did! They raved and asked immediately if we could come back so my husband could try it. We ordered Oreo, Vanilla and Peanut Butter/Oreo shakes and all three were perfectly mixed. Our orders of both curly and regular fries were large, crisp on the outside/soft on the inside, and well seasoned– just how we like them. We also ordered a bacon burger which, according to my son, is his new all-time favorite. I like the small-town burger stand feel of this place and we enjoyed looking at the murals of local sights inside. The two guys running it were friendly and happy to make recommendations. We came at a time when only one other person was there, which was great for us. The only thing we were a little confused about was where to park. It’s on a small lot and they have a drive through and no marked parking spots. Not too big of a deal, but something to be aware of. We’ll be back for sure!

I’m debating between 3 and 4 stars. This is typical of roadside country burger/ice cream stops — it’s all about summer. Open air, picnic tables outside, summer comfort food, a place where all the locals go(especially the teens). The smell just sucks you in. We saw the«burger and shake» sign and had to stop. The burger was a really basic good burger, fries were good, there are a few other non-burger options on the menu too. I tried to get my friend to go for the monster burger but he wasn’t buying it. I would definitely return. Nothing fancy, just good simple food. Reminds me of growing up in PA.

Looks a little underwhelming, but don’t let that fool you. Delicious burgers(especially the bacon cheeseburger), perfectly crisp fries, and their Oreo milkshake was awesome! Very friendly staff, too!

I’ve been to many burger places and am somewhat of a hard critic. If you make me get out of the car, walk up, and then charge me $ 9.99 for a bacon cheeseburger that tastes like a whopper with burnt bacon, and Jack in the Box fries … not happy. Seriously, if you can just drive to Five Guys in Monroe, do it. To the owners of Small Fryes … get a clue. You can’t charge Red Robin prices for your mediocre, forgettable fare. They even have a 13.99 burger… just say no. Motto is: «We specialize in grease, salt, sugar and caffeine.» You should add the word«regret.»

If you are a fan of small mom-and-pop places with a lot of character you’ll like this place. We actually ended up coming here after a horrible experience across the street at the Fall City Roadhouse. The food was fast, and delicious, my wife and kids and me couldn’t stop raving about the fries. The bacon cheeseburger was great, and I tried one of my son’s chicken nuggets and those were great too. Looking forward to coming back and trying a milkshake.

This could definitely be on Diners, Dives and Drive Ins… The building is very run down. let’s get that out of the way. If you are looking for fancy, keep looking. If you are looking for great burgers and fries, this is the place. The staff was friendly and or good was prepared quickly. I got the bacon cheeseburger and medium fries. I definitely recommend you share as we each could only conquer half an order. I also suggest you go for it and upgrade to a milkshake… YUMMY!

Took 30 minutes to get a large Fry and melted Oreo shake. Used to love coming to this place never again.

My family and I just waited 30 minutes for 3 ice cream cones and a shake. When they finally did get around to making the cones, we were told they didn’t have the flavor we had ordered. I understand being out from time to time, but don’t wait 20 minutes to tell us. They only had two employees working: a cook and an order taker/ice cream drawer. They needed someone else to handle the ice cream & shakes, while the other employee handles the orders. We will not be returning.

Good fries and great shakes, slow service. They seemed to be disorganized with their tickets.

My husband ordered a cheeseburger, fries, and onion rings. After entering the place I decided not to order anything as it was so filthy inside I worried that the health codes were not up to par. I ended up trying some of my husband’s food. The onion rings were the best we’ve ever had! The cheeseburger and fries were also delicious. We have mixed feelings about this place as the food was good and staff were friendly — i.e., we went outside to our car to wait and one of the staff even ran our food out to us. However, there is a feeling of a drug haze and lack of concern about the restaurant itself. I agree with other reviewers in that there’s a quaint ‘hole-in-the-wall’ and then there is just total neglect.

The cheeseburger sucked. Fries were mediocre. Building was gross. I want old and kept up, not filthy with a tuft of Christmas lights hanging off the gutters. Seriously don’t go there. Forgot about the shakes, just keep driving.

They specialize in «Grease, Salt, Sugar, and Caffeine.» If you are on a diet, then this is not the place for you. Otherwise, this is a great little«hole in the wall» type of burger joint. The burgers are great and fries are delicious. My kids say that the corndogs are great also and I’ve heard from my husband that the shakes are good too. There are picnic tables outside and on sunny days that just adds to the fun of the experience, in my opinion. The indoor seating area could use a little TLC, some cleaning and upkeep but nothing too major.

I was pretty excited when I first found this little gem but alas my love has faded. I’m a big supporter of the local joints around Fall City but for some reason the prices have gone up and the quality down. About a year ago the burgers were BOMB! They seemed to have gone to some pre-packaged/pre-formed burger meat. The flavor is bland and not juicy at all. I used to bring the fries home for my boyfriend and I live over an hr away from here, he would reheat them in the oven and they were just as good. The fries are still pretty good but also have become lackluster. Today I gave them one last chance, I hoped that I was wrong and that it was just an off day last try sad to say still meh.
