Howes Cave, NY
This is mostly for RV and seasonal campers, but Max, the owner, was very friendly and accommodating to us tent campers. It’s a nice woodsy area and, since we were there in late September, it was the «off season» and not very busy. The restrooms and showers were clean and functional. This is an older campground that’s seen better days, but things were in good repair and well worth the visit.
There’ll be a new owners for the 2014 season; I hope they keep the same friendly atmosphere.
