Excellent Gaming Store. It is well stocked, has a friendly staff that’s very willing to help and greets you the moment you walk in the door. It is very clean and well organized. All extreme plus’s. Also: thus far the place has lacked ‘unwashed gamers’ in my personal experience which is always a really nice addition to any ‘nerd’ styled store. I’m sure people know the sorts I mean… It’s great in general. The only reason I didn’t give the store a 5 is because I think it is pretty overpriced compared to a few other retailers. 20 $ for cards against humanity expansions when I know you can go on the website and get them for 10? That’s price gouging at it’s best… However, for gatherings and tournaments it’s easily the best shop in the entire area. I would certainly recommend it over it’s brother store in Belleville or Twilight Comics in O’Fallon.

Awesome collection of toys, books, collectibles, etc… Just way too pricey for my taste. Some of the same items can be found elsewhere at noticeably lower $.

Great selection of new titles and lots of cool merchandise from comics to games. The best part of the store are the great employees always making customers feel welcome. I set up out pullbox service with them when we moved here and have regretted it. I only wish they had more older back issues but there service and new titles keep me and my son coming back weekly. I would make it five stars if they had the back issue selection.

This shop has everything a comic book, gamer, pop culture enthusiast could want, I have been shopping with Fantasy Books and Games for 5 years now, and is my goto place for myself and I always refer them to my friends. Everyone working here is knowledgeable and helpful, even in the rear instance they maybe out of what you’re looking for, they are quick to see if one of their other locations might have it and order for you. I’ve attended a few nights to game and am looking forward to their upcoming events and sales. If you are in the Metro East and looking for your favorite comic or game or that great gift for someone special that needs that unique something.

Fantasy has a very large uncluttered space, perhaps the least cluttered of the comic shops in the area. Let’s get the negative out of the way real quick: the comic selection is a little lacking, especially when compared to Heroic Adventures. OK, now that’s over with, on to the positive. The toy selection is great here, and it has lots of other little advantages: the posters they sell are unwrapped and on backboards so you can look through them, they have quite a few t-shirts which are not available at any other shop in the area, and they have a cute little manga section where most of it is discounted. Long story short: if you’re picking between the two, Heroic Adventures for comics, Fantasy for everything else.

I love this place. I came to play all sorts of TCG games like pokemon, MTG, and of course YU-GI-OH! And the people here are kinda nice(I said kinda because some card players are sometimes cocky).

I have been coming here ever since the Adventure Time comics release. Since then I have opened up to more comics than just Adventure time. XD Wide variety but not clutter! All issues are up to date. There is more than just comics like most shops– board games and figures. I mostly come for the comics though. The staff is friendly and helpful. They were sad that I moved to St. Louis but they are happy that because I can’t find as great a comic shop as them that I am still giving them business! :)

Fantasy Games(formerly Fantasy Shop) is a nice little comic book store in O’Fallon that also offers comic book merchandise and an assortment of board and card games. It’s owned by the same folks who own Fantasy Books(in Belleville) and Fantasy Games(in O’Fallon), and it’s really about halfway between these stores in terms of its product mix. The main difference is that the store doesn’t have a gaming room, which also means that it’s open for fewer hours. What I like about Fantasy Books and Games is that it has a lot of variety without going overboard. This isn’t one of those comic book shops filled with longboxes of back issues, nor is it only populated by recent releases and graphic novels. They carry much more than the Marvel and DC books, and they even have special sections dedicated to biographical comics, kids’ comics, and other featured items. The prices are on par with what you’d find at any game store or comic book store, and the owners are more than happy to order items if they’re available through their distributor. Parking’s not a problem, and the atmosphere is nice. It’s definitely a good place to stop in and check out if you’re in to comics and tabletop gaming.
