I don’t see what’s so fantastic about Dillard’s…I’m not sure why everyone loves this department store so much. To me it looks like a department store trying to become like Neimans or Saks but it will never be. Associates in here think they’re higher and beyond everyone else. Remember customers are there to shop and buy things and pretty much keep the company in business so they can pay for your paycheck. That being said… I was there after the holidays in the watch department trying to get my mother’s watch resized. They refused to do it because they were really busy and understaffed. Ummm Dillard’s it was 12÷26÷15. You can’t let go of your holiday people yet. Stop being cheap and hire people! After the guy in watches told me that he couldn’t do it because they were understaffed. I told him that I would never shop there ever again! Is that how you treat customers!!! Very poor!

To blend in with normal people, Ninjas must master the art of urban camouflage. Yes, from time to time we Ninjas have to look like normal people. This is why we are Ninjas. I picked Dillard’s because of their selection of Kenneth Cole and Calvin Klein’s. Ninja’s pay great attention to the latest fashion it is a must if we are to master this skillful art. The people here at Dillard’s were more than happy to help me out in my search to blend in. I was given plenty of attention and no it was not because I looked like a shoplifter. I think it was because I was here during the day and it was really slow. Needless to say they could have easily ignored me and continued on with what normal people do everyday. Instead they took time away from their texting or daily gossip to help this Ninja out. It was greatly appreciated. I’m not going to give out 5 stars because it takes skills above and beyond to earn the coveted 5 star Ninja.

Correction, on a decent day their BCBG Max Azria clothing is 20% off at the most. That goes for their«sale rack» from the previous season too. However, it’s limited racks and usually the castoffs that have failed to show any movement as far as sales go. Anything that looks halfway decent is 95% of the time full price. BCBG generation also has racks that are at the most 30% off. Besides who can afford a full wardrobe of BCBG with this crappy economy? LIKE: Anyways, what I like about this Dillard’s is their shoe selection and their friendly sales people. Most of the time their stock is good and they have your size. If not, they’re on that phone in a flash tracking down the same pair in your size across the river. DISLIKE: What I don’t like about it, is that section before you hit BCBG on the right always seems bare. I don’t know whether it’s picked over, but they need to put more racks and clothing up to draw in the mid 20s + crowd. Their handbag area needs different brands. I was over Dooney & Bourke when I first bought one in 2002. And Coach, is way OVER(done). MK bags are too bling bling with their chains and MK gold tags. Then Fossil bags are a combination of old lady and bohemian. Which isn’t a good combo. Overall assessment: Go here for shoes. Check their website, then call first to see if they have them in your size and they’ll hold it for a certain period of time. Petrol is too expensive to make a wasted trip!

We love Dillard’s. We have always experienced great customer service here. They carry a wide selection of Ecco shoes and Coach purses(for my wife). The merchandise is higher quality than what you would find at other stores such as JC Penney or Old Navy.

In-season BCBG is regularly 75% off. Enough said. Seriously, if you ever find yourself in Fairview Heights, IL, make it a point to visit this Dilliards. No one in this part of the country is fashion savvy, which equals massive discounts for out-of-towners. All of the good purses, clothes and shoes are guaranteed to be on sale, because no one from Southern Illinois wants to buy them. You’ll end up with a great wardrobe at a fraction of the cost.
