Bella Vista At Casa Larga Vineyards

Events at CL… beware of greedy, holier than thou, uncooperative management

Have fun to whoever is attempting to plan their wedding at Bella Vista. But just beware.
Bradley and I recently got engaged and are planning to have our wedding in Rochester. Because we already have a huge guest list, there are only about 4 places that can hold our wedding party. I originally had my heart set on Casa Larga. I loved the pictures online. After about 5 attempts to get Belinda, the Casa Larga wedding planner on the phone, I finally found that the best way was to call the gift shop and have them grab Belinda for me. It’s a bad first impression when the wedding planner is too busy/doesn’t want to talk to you.
We had finally scheduled a visit with Amber on a Sunday. Sunday came and Amber had cancelled unexpectedly, but luckily Shannon was there to give us the tour.
The venue is beautiful, there is no doubt about that. Shannon was great and answered all of our questions. It would be very expensive to have our wedding there. About $ 90 a head for food and drinks. We decided it was a no.
I was very surprised I didn’t get a follow up call a few days after seeing how I like the place or if I had any additional questions. This should be like a car sale where I feel like they want my business.
The whole experience was pretty bad. I shouldn’t have to fight my way to schedule an appointment. If it was this hard just to visit, I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to actually hold the wedding there!

We had our wedding reception at Casa Larga and loved it! The reception room is very nice with huge windows and a tall ceiling and great lighting. It also has an outside deck which our guests really enjoyed, I think everyone attending took a photo on the deck with the beautiful vineyard/​sunset in the background!
We were very happy with the food– the tasting was incredible with huge portions — there are a lot of options and all of the sauces were amazing! We both had the steak and it was cooked just right! There are a ton of wine options and it was tough making a choice because we liked so many of them.
The prices were reasonable for the venue and we did open bar which was reasonable as well. Although we were switched from our original event planner to another, they were both very accommodating and made the night go smoothly.
