Red Roof Inns

Stayed two nights. They didn’t clean the room or make the bed. I got to sleep in the second day and they started some sawing outside my door for about 15 minutes at 8AM. Not a good experience

I cannot say if ALL the RRI’s are this good, but this one is clean, modern, and cheap. Right off of the interstate, there is a WalMart close and some other stores, we did not go to any of them, but a good point when traveling, ya can make the necessary stops etc.
More about the motel — check in at 2a seemed fine, place is up a hill and sort of off the road, so you have NO idea what you’re getting yourself into, but all was well. Everything is lit up, and the room was really nice. Everything was clean, and taken care of. We noted the RRI as a motel we will look for in our travels after this stay.

Housekeeping did not show up one day. Towels in room were worn out and dirty before use! Room smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room and I later found out it was because my room was over top of the lobby and they smoked there non stop! Dirty carpets, dirty bathroom, worn out, dirty towels! Furniture worn out! Nothing good to say about this dump! I I checked out early and went to a clean hotel!

I am writing this post over 8 months after my visit at this Red Roof. But basically, we had gotten into an unfortunate and horrific car accident right near this Red Roof and had to get the vehicle towed. We arrived at the Hotel shaken up and crying — trying to figure out our next move. The staff was amazing. Never had we encountered such an amazing group of people. Never have I been so taken care of at a hotel. The room was clean — easily accessible too. Being 9 hours from home and stranded without a vehicle — there was no better place for us to be than that Red Roof. What encouraged this post? I am making the same drive now and out of multiple options in hotels in Columbus, our choice was Red Roof. Not the same staff, but the crew in Fairmont made an everlasting impression.
