Holiday Inn Fairmont

Clean room. Comfortable bed. Honestly — what more can you ask for?
Only stayed one night to crash after a concert, so that’s about all I can say.

Holiday Inn Fairmont totally nailed it!
So my crew and I pull into the hotel around 2 am, we’re road weary and looking for a nice place to stay. We go in and the dude at the counter not only gives us their rate, but also goes ahead and calls two other nearby hotels to check their rates for us. Nailed it! While standing in the lobby, I notice sweet historical photography and old maps of the town decorating the walls. Nailed it! The rooms are large, clean and have a huge flat screen tv. I watch a National Geographic special on the Mars Rovers. Nailed it! I forgot my razor and need a shave, so I go up to the front desk and ask to see if I can buy one. Dude at the counter just hands one over and says, «let me know if you need anything else and I’ll bring it to the room.» Totally nailed it! And check this out. The hotel is connected to a Green Mill. That’s right… pizza. The best food in the whole entire universe. You bet they nailed it. It was too late for za, but we did ordered some breakfast in the morning — eggs, toast and sausage. Guess what? Yeah, they friggin’ nailed it. You want an awesome nights stay? Go to this hotel and they will definitely nail it for you!

This review for Hotel only. Nice staff, professional check-​in staff. Our room preference is known & room is ready. Not much around. Fridge & microwave in king room. Perkins within walking distance. Gas stations nearby to fill up before bed, and get you on the road quickly in the am. Some updates to rooms but lots of room for more. They seem to be working on it, as some rooms we’ve stayed at are more updated than others.

«Don’t judge a book by its cover» is the old saying however with this one its a little backwards. The outside looks really nice and very updated. But once you get inside it tells a different story.
My room is fairly out dated and also seems dirty. Also my non-​smoking room smells like someone smoked a carton of cigarettes in here before I stepped in.
The bright part would be the staff, who are very helpful and very friendly. As well as the attached bar/​restaurant is also nice to have on-​site.

Nice lobby and attached restaurant and bar, everything is kept pretty neat and clean. The rooms are also well kept, and no room is overly far from a door leading to the parking lot.
24hr Wal-​Mart is right across the highway, so that’s pretty convenient too.
The staff is pretty accomodating, and amazingly polite, even at 4 am!
Haven’t tried the restaurant, but I’m sure it’s pretty good at the very least.
Of course, I don’t have any clue where else you would stay if you were in this area, but I’d definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to anyone staying in the area…

My 4-​star rating of this Holiday Inn is based on the very accommodating service I received late one night attempting to check in. As it turns out, there was a mix-​up with my reservation (that I only later learned was my own fault), and they were completely booked. I was exasperated, driving across country with my husband and our dog. The nice man helping me provided a great solution. He offered me the opportunity to check out a room that I don’t think they normally offer guests (it has a Murphy bed and is on the first floor). And then even better, he said if I was interested, it was mine for just $ 39.
I was so happy to encounter someone who looked for a solution rather than shook their head, «No,» as is often the case. And it saved us time spent aimlessly driving around looking for hotels in small towns late at night.
I don’t think it’s fair to review the hotel based on my room (which was certainly clean and acceptable, especially given the situation), but I can say that the lobby is nice, there is an attached restaurant and bar, and I imagine the standard rooms match those accommodations. Thank you, Fairmont Holiday Inn!
