China Chef

We have enjoyed the China Chef for years. Always great and wonderful service. Sign on door said closed for remodeling and would reopen in September. Went last night for dinner and it was dark and no sign of business being open. Phone number no longer in service. What happened? Would appreciate any information.

I have been going here for years and love it. Maggie is such a sweet lady and she knows me by name. The food is fresh and always good.

I have been frequenting this place for years. The owner is a very nice lady and her husband cooks everything. They do most of the work, though on occasion I do see another face or two helping.
The food is very good for a chinese restaurant. Their wonton soup is very good. compared to many other chinese places in the area. The broth is not salty and the pork inside is tasty. THeir egg rolls are my favorite. The spring rolls are yummy too.
I have tried their sesame chicken and the generals chicken, the pepper steak and the various lo meins they have. I have no complaints over any of them.
The other day I was speaking with the owner about a the new chinese buffet in the Levittown shopping center and I didnt’ care for it and she said that at China Chef they don’t do buffets (like alot of the chinese restaurants try to do) because you can not have that kind of food siiting over hot water. It is the kind of food that is quick prepared and can not sit.
Plus she told me that her ingredients are always purchased fresh like perdue fresh chicken for her entrees. I can agree that it does tasty much better than many of the places I have tried.
Oh and their crab ragoon is sooo yummy too.
They are very busy with take out from Thursday to Sunday and even though they have a dining room, it does seem like most patrons like to take their food home. I like to do both. They are quick to serve everything when you do eat in.

I’ve never actually eaten in this restaurant, we depend on them for our take out. The food is good and convenient. The location close to home — but I’d still give it an extra star if they would deliver — since none of our local Chinese places seem to deliver.
