This is for the pizza only. This place is definitely good on size for a NY slice but not on taste. We found it salty and dry. I have lived on the east coast and use to frequent NY City on the wkend… They got the size down for sure. It is a large, thin crust… but almost no toppings. And just no bueno on taste… Miss a good NY pie. My search continues.

The food here is pretty decent, a higher end Pieology in my opinion(not a bad thing). The garlic knots were fantastic and the pizza was good. The food came out to us in less than 15 mins which i couldn’t have been more thankful since I was starving. But you can’t have good without the bad of course. From the moment I came in the man behind the counter insulted my tattoos«trying to give his opinion». I ignored the insults because I just wanted to eat what made me feel uncomfortable was seeing the same person go to the back drinking a beer. He made the establishment look trashy when it’s a very quaint eatery.

Pizza is my favorite splurge food of all and Paul on Fox40’s morning show had a cooking segment with Vicini’s last year. Since Paul is such a foodie, I figured if he likes it, it must be good. And the pizza looked so good on TV that I’d been wanting to go there ever since. Well, I finally made the drive over to Fairfield to see the Clydesdales at Budweiser so we ate at Vicini’s on the way back. As I told the nice young man who made our delicious pepperoni and mushroom pizza, it was the BESTPIZZA I’D EVERHAD and my sister loved it too. We also ordered a side of Garlic Knots which we’d never had before and they were SOGOOD with their delicious marinara dipping sauce and fresh garlic sauteed in olive oil. We also enjoyed their New York décor, the Sinatra-oldies music they were playing in the background and that it is such a clean, tidy restaurant that we felt very comfortable there. There were other people eating there too, but it was quiet enough for us to hear ourselves talk in our booth. I will definitely drive the 60 miles over to Fairfield again just to have more of their delicious pizza!

Best pizza in California hands down! I was going to go to Roundtable but they were busy, lol. It’s all about the sauce at Vicini’s! It is on the more expensive side when it comes to price, but hey you’ll enjoy every bite. Their lunch specials are awesome, two slices of pizza and a drink for under $ 10. Also, their pizzas by the slice are made daily. This place is family owned and operated and they take pride in their food.

I really love thin, New York style pizza, and this is one of the only places in town that makes it. They do it well, too. The sauce/cheese/crust ratio is great, it’s salty but not too salty, and the giant slices are easy to fold. However, it’s on the expensive side. A large plain cheese pizza comes to $ 23(with tax). They don’t seem to offer any coupons, discounts, or deals(except a few lunch specials). We used to think Round Table was the most expensive pizza in town, but at least they offer coupons and you can get a large one or two topping pizza for under $ 20. Kinda got a vibe that they’re sticklers about some things — there are couple signs around the front register and menu board specifying restrictions or rules(«We are no longer offering water cups because everyone keeps using them for soda» and«dipping sauces are extra», etc). Also, they’ll only sell their garlic knots in orders of 3, 5 or 10(and it used to be just 5 or 10). I’d really love to just try just one(especially if I’m also eating pizza — have you seen the size of those things?). So far I’ve only had their pizza, but there are definitely a handful of other menu items I’d love to try. We definitely plan to be back, it just won’t be as often as we’d like due to the prices.

I love this place! The atmosphere is on point and always makes me smile. The staff is friendly too which is always a plus. I usually come in for their lunch special(two slices of your choice and a drink for about $ 7). The pizza is nothing overtop, just simple and delicious, which I appreciate. They also sell those minute made icey pops and I never leave without buying at least one. The menu has a great variety of items– my parents usually order baked ziti and the eggplant Parmesan and I always end up stealing some of theirs. I’ve ordered delivery as well, on a Friday night I think, and they were very quick to deliver. I’ve been coming here for years and they consistently never disappoint :) good food, good atmosphere, nice staff = five stars.

The worst lasagna I’ve ever had! The lasagna was watery looked like throw up! It was disgusting had no taste whatsoever!!! The girl in the front was very nice! The place was clean. but the food was horrid! the garlic knots where horrible! Didn’t taste garlic at all! On top of the food being nasty they didn’t let us even eat inside it was 9:40p they said they where closed we had to sit outside of jimboy tacos! I am 5months pregnant and had to sit outside in 50 degree weather! It was freezing! :(never coming back here Ever again!

Being an East Coast guy(Boston) I absolutely crave real authentic pizza, and Vincini’s does not disappoint. Everything from the pies to the subs and the garlic knots brings me back to a place where a slice and a soda was an afternoon fixture for me growing up. I’m very thrilled that I found this fine establishment. I suggest to anyone to take advantage of the lunch special. …2 slices and a large soda for 7 bucks, it’ll definitely do the job at lunch time. Totally wicked awesome pizza!

Solid pizza spot. I’ve been here a couple of times and because of its location I always seem to forget it’s here. Regardless came here today with a friend to grab a bite. I ordered a single slice of pepperoni pizza and got a side of butter knots(5). They hear the pizza up so it’s nice and fresh as well as the knots. The pizza is to my liking. It’s New York style so the slices are big and thin. The knots are to die for. I normally get the garlic ones, but went with the buttery ones today. They provide some marinara sauce to dip it in as well. Small gripes is they don’t let you have a water cup because according to a sign people keep filling them with water. Kinda BS to me because the people like me who don’t drink soda that much get to suffer and are forced to buy a water bottle. The staff is also ok, but sometimes not the friendliest. The food is great though, so definitely give it a look!

This is by far the worst pizza ever. When it arrived it was soggy, very little cheese and very salty! If you have ever had NY pizza, you would never compare it to this place.

Meh… I took my boy and we got their garlic knots, pizza and a calzone… I enjoyed the calzone but I’ve definitely had better pizza… and the knots were not good… it may have been an off night or they were old… the oil they were sitting in tasted like oil not the advertised butter and the center was hard… if I’m in the area I might stop by again but I won’t go out of my way like we did…

I love this pizza place! My husband and I are both East Coasters and this is the closest place to get some east coast inspired pizza! We usually order by delivery and they never make us wait longer then30 mins so major kudos there! I do want to point out they are much pricer then other pizza places. Our standard order is a large pepperoni pizza with a bag of Zeppoli! It sets us back about $ 40.

I wanted to order my favorite cheap and delicious pizza place but they did not answer the phone today, so I decided to give this place a try. I work in Fairfield but at one end while this place is on the other end of town so it wasn’t super convenient in my case, but it was easy to get to. I saw on Unilocal that they do have pizza by the slice and since their whole pizzas are much more expensive than the place I usually go, I thought this would be ideal. However, when reviewing the online menu I was too tempted to order online rather than call or go in and wait for stuff to be warmed up(lazy. short on time. hate the phone)! You cannot order slices online(understandable) and I knew I’d be the only one eating so I really didn’t want to spend up to $ 20 on a big pie just for me. The one I really wanted to order anyway was $ 22(with thick crust) and would have been more with my extra cheese and sausage. So I decided on a sausage roll with extra cheese, hold the peppers and onions(I know, I’m weird), what surprised me was the price went up a whopping 3.50 just for the extra cheese. I’m thinking this cheese better be good and there better be a lot of it! The roll was about 13 bucks and I shelled out about 5.50 more for garlic knots, plus tax came to a bit over 20. I loved the music they were playing, it reminded me of my dad who was born in the mid 30’s and loved the big band and 40’s type stuff and exposed me to it when I was little. I walked in and took a look at their slices at the counter, they do seem to offer a vast variety of flavors! I was tempted to ask them to throw in a cheese slice because my appetite was huge and I wasn’t sure the size of this sausage roll but I decided against it, fearing I’ve already spent too much and it might be gross, given the downhill quality of most pizza places in California. I got in my car and headed back to work. Could not help but to pull a piece off and see what this was all about. All the buyers’ remorse I had for spending 20 bucks on this order flew right out the window. My mouth was in LOVE! There was a cheese-y sausage-y dough-y party going on in there! Worth. Every. Penny. I am not a big pizza sauce fan and I prefer light sauce on pizzas, so this sausage roll which had no sauce was perfect for me. They do add a cup of sauce on the side, so I dipped a tiny bit in there to see how it tastes. I’m not sure if it’s house made or not, but to me it tasted like jarred sauce from the store. It wasn’t bad at all, I just wouldn’t want a lot of that on my future pizza experiences that will definitely take place here. The garlic knots were pretty good, a nice ball of fresh baked dough, fresh garlic but not overpowering at all. Only complaint really was that some garlic butter leaked out of the tin container and soaked up the paper bag it was in. Although my co-worker declined when I offered to get some food for her before I ordered, I knew she had to try this so I gave her the end part of the roll and one of the garlic knots. She fell in love too and had to know where this place was so she could get some for her family soon. I am only taking one star off for the prices, however, I do not regret any part of my purchase as I felt the quality of food was worth what I paid. I guess if you have larger groups that chip in to get a big pizza it would be a little more feasible. I have to see if they have the pizza I wanted by the slice!

Love the pizza here! My parents moved to a house near this location and one night decided to give this place a try instead of the other typical pizza places in Fairfield; glad they did. In my opinion sauce makes the pizza and they have great sauce. All of the ingredients are fresh and they manage to keep the grease on the pizza to a minimum. We have also had a few of the salads and the one that stands out is the anti pasta salad; it has great flavor, fresh ingredients and good dressing make it an above average salad. Additionally, the garlic knots are a must have appetizer. The knots are dough woven together with garlic, cheese and seasoning then baked. One other thing to note is the lunch special. It includes two slices of pizza and a drink for seven dollars. Pizza is NY style so slices are large which makes this a great deal. The staff is always friendly and most of all deliveries are on time and food is ready for pick up when they promise. Great spot to eat pizza in Fairfield.

Great pizza. Ordered a small(10″) garbage pizza, 3 garlic knots and a wedding soup. Service was professional and courteous. The whole order was delivered to our table in about 10 – 12 minutes. Pizza was flavorful and well prepared. Thinner crunchy crust just like we like it. Knots were good, eat while hot! Soup was not overly salty. Nice fun ambiance. Outside dining. We will return. Worth a try.

Tons of pizza in hundreds of slices, just there behind the glass to be stared and drooled at and ultimately devoured. If the generously portioned pizza slices aren’t enough, they’ve got these little dough balls the size of a grown man’s fist and some even smothered in garlic.(Annoyingly they’re only sold in sets of 3.) Swish it all down with beer on tap or in a bottle. This place offered a good sized pizza feast at totally reasonable prices. Limited seating tho. Not like a lot of customers can’t be there at once, but the tables are set up to accommodate groups of 2 and 4. Discounts for military on Tuesdays I believe.

«Hey Aubrey, have you ever been to Vicini’s before,» my boyfriend asked. «No,» I replied. ” WHAT?! I GOTTOTAKEYOUTHEREONETIME! HOWCOULDYOUNOTKNOWABOUTTHISPLACEWHENYOULIVEFIVEMINUTESAWAYFROMIT,” he exclaimed. Uh… Excuse me, I was hermit before I met you, so give a bitch a break… Anyways, that was the small conversation I recalled with my boyfriend Brian when we were dating for about a month or so. I remembered him being all flabbergasted that I never dined-in Vicini’s New York City Pizzeria before. Lucky for him, he got his chance to take me out on another date to the pizzeria. The service at Vicini’s has always been great. The guys working over the counter don’t seem too happy all the time, but if you’re nice to them, they’ll give you good service. There’s a lot of New York City related decorations around the restaurant, and somehow the music blasting in the background feels like walking into the Big Apple. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. Here are some few tips for first time customers: 1. Go to Vicini’s from 12 – 4 for a Daily Lunch Special for $ 6. The lunch special comes with two slices of pizza and a drink. This option is perfect for the first time customer that wants a sample of what Vicini’s New York City Pizzeria has to offer. The slices are reasonably big, and if you’re a little gal like me, you might be full after the first slice of pizza. 2. Sorry, no free water cups. A lot of people cheated the system, so in return, you will be paying $.50 for 8 oz. or $ 1.69 for 20 oz. bottle of water. 3. Oh yeah, you will have to pay $.79 if you want a 4 oz. cup of ranch or marinara sauce. Overall, I love me some thin crust pizza! My go-to pizza is the Garbage pie pizza! There’s lots of veggies and pepperoni! It reminds me of your typical combo pizza. The crust has that nice crisp and the pizza wasn’t heavily oily. I also had the BBQ Chicken Pizza and that was pretty great as well! Pizza here is fantastic regardless. I will happily take my fat ass here for lunch if I’m too lazy to drive Downtown Fairfield for Evelyn’s.
