Really great barbecue! I’m from Chicago and we are pretty particular about our ribs. We prefer them to be wrestled of the bone rather than fall right off. Even so the food was fantastic. Sauces are all good — we sampled several. Brisket is out of this world, and the ribs? Loose off the bone, but otherwise fabulous.

Place was great for barbecue… Service was quick and reasonably priced … Totally recommend to anyone looking for a good pulled pork or barbecue chicken sandwich.

Half chicken was OK, but brisket sandwich was very fatty, meat had no smoke flavor at all. Why they serve it this way is questionable.

Great authentic smoked bbq that falls right off the bone. They have 3 sauces to choose from: sweet, spicy or 50⁄50 and they are all delicious. It’s a little pricey but you can get a discounted gift certificate from and they honor it… I wouldn’t bring a first date here but if you’re in the mood for authentic bbq, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Tried this place a few weeks ago and thought it was really great! You can have a variety of different meats with a few different gluten-free sauces, which is great. We tried the brisket and pork ribs – both were delicious. The staff behind the counter was also super friendly and welcoming. A good find if you like comfort foods.

Great barbecue! I think I am going to fake my wedding just to have them cater for one! Burnt ends, smoked chicken, hush puppies… sigh. Keep your eyes open for it or you will miss their location next to Tony’s sports café.

Very good BBQ! I had the dinner plate of beef brisket with coleslaw and baked beans! Everything seemed very fresh. Portions were good sized. I will definitely be returning here to try many other great options on the menu. It will be giving Wilson’s BBQ a good run for their money.

I just don’t understand what they’re going for here, and I don’t think it’s just me. The place is a dive, and not in a good way. Utensils are kept in a Tupperware storage box. There were ants on the counter. The place has maybe 6 tables. The food was mediocre at best, and it wasn’t that cheap(the online menu and actual menu had different prices). It literally looks like they just moved into whatever was there before, set up a few tables and started serving food without even putting on a new coat of paint. There are so many better places, it’s such a shame. The irony is that they have random menus from restaurants in Manhattan tacked onto the walls and one of them is Blue Smoke. This isn’t even in the same league.

Great deal, great BBQ! The beef ribs are HUGE and so flavorful and tasty. The portions are pretty large. Got the sampler platter and was blown away with how large the beef ribs were and the over all serving size. Order the sampler platter the next time you go so you can taste everything this place has to offer! Good mac and cheese. The pull pork and brisket are great. Pulled pork was even better as leftovers the next day… The owner was very nice and talked with us as we left, great place.

Saw this place the other day and decided to give it a try for lunch. Had the KC ribs(w vinegar sauce) w a small side of coleslaw. I have to say the ribs were delicious. The vinegar sauce was tangy yet not over powering. The cole slaw(vinegar based — which I prefer over mayo based) was Excellent! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Décor– very simple and no frills. It looks like a work in progress since they just opened. There is an outdoor patio but is in the process of being updated. I am sure it will be great when it’s done. Pricing is fair and inline with other FFLD county BBQ joints.

After driving all around Fairfield for a while because Unilocal has the wrong address listed, we finally found the new Uncle Willies BBQ in Fairfield, Ct. Very glad we did. It’s quick serve style, Order at the counter and then sit down and your meal is brought to you. Very small dining area so plan on taking out if you’re going at peak times. The restaurant was clean and reasonably tidy for late on a Sunday evening. I ordered the Combo Plate which came with ¼ chicken, 2 pork ribs, 2 sides and corn bread. I had to ask for the cornbread but to the girls credit the place was supposed to close at 7 and they got slammed at the last minute. We were guilty of walking in at about 5 minutes till 7 ourselves. My wife ordered the large brisket sandwich and a side of mac and cheese. I chose the Delta Queen cole slaw and baked beans for my sides. The food came out quickly and piping hot. The array of sauces are kept on the counter at the front and we filled a few portions cups to the brim with the Memphis Sweet. We’re not big on Carolina or Spicy so that was enough for us. The sauce was good enough but I tend to think it’s just from a jar. Didn’t really have a great deal of character but it got the job done. The chicken was moist and tender with a very nice, not overly done smoke to it. I ordered the white meat option because I wanted the wing. Next time I’ll do the dark meat. The two large pork ribs were the star of the show. Beautiful crust on them, Tender but not falling apart. Perfect smoky flavor. My wife’s brisket sandwich was served on a large, soft roll and was overflowing with brisket. The meat was tender, juicy and flavorful. She ordered the large planning to save half for lunch the next day. Not! The whole thing disappeared before I could finish my chicken. The mac and cheese they brought had obviously not baked long enough. Even if it had I believe it still wouldn’t be a lot better than Kraft. She sent it back and ordered the sweet potatoes with apples. Jackpot! Not overly sweet but great flavor and texture. My coleslaw was the vinegary variety. Not a lot of pizzazz but it was fine. The baked beans on the other hand were very good. Certainly seemed like they had slow baked for a good long time but not so long as to be mushy. Wonderful deep, rich flavor. The cornbread would have been better warm. But it was flavorful and moist. A lot less sweet than I would have expected but that was fine with me. Overall, a very good experience. The place is apparently still very new so they have a few kinks to work out. But we’ll definitely be back to see how they come along.

Wow — huge feast. Crazy tasty pulled pork, half chicken, and perfect baby back ribs. Lexington vinegar sauce has dead-on NC bbq flavor. Mac n Cheese was creamy, collards were tender and flavorful. Cornbread was plentiful and sweet with great texture and is almost all gone. Ribs fell of the bone in one piece — not stringy the way some places make it. We ordered way too much food but couldn’t stop eating. One thing I’d say is to skip the fries and focus on the other excellent sides. You can get fries anywhere — you can’t get bbq or the rest as good as this anywhere in the area. Uncle Willie’s so glad you’re in Fairfield.

Just what my town needed just before the heat of summer busts wide open! This isn’t psydo BBQ or some food trend. This is the real deal. Huge menu & lots of combinations. I happen to love me some BBQ& all those tummy pleasing sides like collards, Mac & cheese, & corn bread & fried okra! Not just the classics like pork, burnt ends, ribs & sausage but Pulled chicken & smoked chicken too for non red meat eaters like me ;). The chicken is smoky, moist & plentiful. The fried okra is cut into small slices, lightl cornmeal coating & fried golden, not greasy. A variety of regional homemade sauces from Carolina, Tennessee, Kansas & Kentucky to slather or dip– my fave is the Wichita hot. The corn bread is moist but not super corn like which I prefer. And the coleslaw is not a wet mayonnaise style but the N Carolina version which is tangy & crunchy & vinegar based. Chicken wings were plump & fried perfectly. The Bourbon sauce was too sweet for me. The Texas beef ribs are huge! Nice portions. Exceptional & friendly service. They are working on the rear outdoor patio– it will be a big plus if they can get that up in time for summer bcz BBQ& summer just go together(& some Memphis Blues tunes would wrap that up nicely)! Foxton soda! Fresh brewed sweet tea & unsweetened too. Interior isn’t much to look at. No Booz. It’s good to have an «Uncle» in the biz & so close to home!
