Tokyo Sushi

Not sure what all the chatter is about slow service. I just ate here during lunch by myself and was seated right away next to the three other tables of people who were there. Within 5 minutes I had a water, my appetizer of salmon sashimi and a free miso soup! Five minutes later my Honeymoon roll (delicious) was on the table. After I ate he brought out a cute little swan dessert made out of a freshly cut pineapple. I was in and out within 20 minutes and the food was killer. I might also note that the man who was serving was clearly also the one making the rolls. Amazing service, quick turnaround and very fresh and delicious sushi! I will definitely return.

The good– the sushi was very tasty. Lots of options other than just rolls.
The bad-​My husband and I were the only ones in the restaurant and our service was very slow. We finished 2 appetizers and still waited very long for our entrees. We didn’t have soy sauce dishes on our table so we grabbed some off of other tables ourselves. The rolls came out on plates «family style» and didn’t have our own plates to eat off of so the table had rice and soy sauce dripping everywhere since we had to share from the center of the table. We finished all our food and waited so long for our bill. Keep in mind there is only one other couple in the restaurant now. I went to the register to pay the bill and the waitress told me to go back to the table so she could give us our check. What in the world? Lastly this sushi spot is overall expensive. I recommend Yo Sushi or driving 10 more minutes to Vacaville and eating at Little Madfish.

Excellent service, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food! Very well priced, all you can eat, made as you order buffet. Sushi is served on a thick wooden plate giving it a more authentic touch!

Just learned about the all you can eat sushi for $ 30. The fish is always fresh. The wait is sometimes long but for all you can eat. I got time! :)

My daughter and I love this place. The owner is very friendly and the food is yummy. I’m not a big fan of raw fish, so I order the Golden Philly roll. It’s salmon, cream cheese and tempura fried golden brown and topped with unagi sauce. It is so good. My daughter orders the Golden California roll. The miso soup is always hot and delicious. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for good food at a good price and super friendly service.

I would have loved to give this place a 4 star because the food was awesome! Unfortunately I felt rushed to order and the waitress didn’t serve us water when she asked.

Good place to go when in a rush, sushi is not as fresh as I would like. But very nice and helpful staff !

I love this place. We always stop here on our way to Tahoe no matter how late it gets. The owners are so nice making sure I sit while I wait and greeting me when i walk in. This time I got the Oregon Roll which was really good. The creaminess of the salmon and crab worked well together highlighted by the mustard sauce. It seems that a lot of people order to go but everything is done quickly and efficiently. I would definitely come more often if I could.

I feel really bad bc my husband was bugging me for sushi and I’m broke and I didn’t tip, so I’m writing this review bc it honestly is the best sushi I have found in northern California. Price, portions, staff, taste, & environment are all great. The rolls are just the right amount of saucy and oh so delicious not like another– for some reason– popular place that has dry rolls. And they didn’t take forever like another good place that did. I truly recommend this place!

My family and I love to eat here. They are a little mom and pop shop. The owner is so nice his wife and kids always treat us like family! The food is amazing and fresh. Great serving sizes and we are always full and. Satisfied when we leave. I highly recommend.

Love this place. Perfect spot for an early lunch. Great sushi and great service. Only downside is that they don’t give you free miso lol.
Also, I ordered the una Cali roll and asked if he could make it spicy, he said «of course!» But didn’t make it spicy. Haha. Boooo. Next time.

Had dinner there last night and it was just great. Our favorite sushi place in town closed so i was glad to find a new favorite. Food was excellent the dragon roll (my fav) was just delicious. Cant wait to go back

For a little hole in the wall place inside a plaza, I was impressed. The service was excellent, food was tasty and the prices are fair. Will return!

I’ve lived in Solano for over six years now and I’ve never stopped by this place. Today was my FIRST time here and the first 3 rolls I ordered were made to perfection! The flavor were amazing! Definitely going to make this a regular thing!

I ate here years ago… the restaurant was empty but for some reason, it took forever for our sushi to come… when we asked the waitress why it was taking so long, she said because he was making it fresh. We have sushi weekly and l have only eaten in restaurants where sushi is freshly prepared… wasn’t aware of the existence of restaurants that don’t serve fresh sushi. Never eaten there again and on the few occasions l have looked in (while waiting to use the ATM outside), it has been empty… I think that says a lot.

I’ve been coming here regularly, and really, the quality of the sushi is so great, and the owner is so friendly and personable. I would go out of my way to eat sushi here over other restaurants any day.

If I could give a negative star. Attempted to have lunch with family. Family didn’t like the menu but I ordered. Stepped outside to make a quick phone call. Came back in he was kicking my family out and threw an entire glass of water on a family member yelling obscenities. His reason where cause I was the only one who was eating and I could not eat inside cause they weren’t.
The best part while walking out we ran into two Fairfield police officer so we were able to make a complaint.
What a
draw in customers. Mind you the place was EMPTY.

I dropped in for a take-​out order of sushi. Ten minutes later, I got my order. The fish was fresh and tasted good, price was also very decent. Given that I went in during a weekday post-​lunch hour, the place was not very busy.
The owner served me and was very welcoming and friendly. He advised me on what type of fish to pick, the freshest ones he had on hand. And I was not disappointed. Even though the cut of the fish was nothing like I’ve seen before, I got a hefty piece of fish on every piece of sushi rice I ordered. $ 16 for my lunch; I couldn’t wait to taste the fish so I ate one before taking a photo of my lunch box.
