Sonick Michael, DMD – Fairfield County Implant & Periodontics

Outstanding doctors, hygienists, assistants, and staff. Had MAJOR gum surgery about a year ago with Dr. Sonick, and I continue to come here for my dental cleanings. Lori is absolutely awesome. The best hygienist I have ever had.
I can’t recommend this wonderful group of people highly enough.

This place is amazing! Dr. Ma was profoundly helpful. I thought I was going to need major work but he wants to approach conservatively. I like that! Really convenient too… I took the train to and from and was back at work right after my visit. I even saw all the places to dine in Fairfield. I had not been in town for some time. My next visit is next week and I’m actually excited to be there believe it or not!

I do not know first hand about this periodontist, but I have heard three people in one week say how good he is. One is my daughter so that carries a lot of weight. Two were at a cocktail party in another town. That works for me. The word «Periodontist» strikes fear in our hearts, except for Doc Sonick who goes out of his way to ensure his clients are comfortable, informed and relaxed during any procedure. I don’t need him now but I will. So thank you Dr. S for being so kind competent and empathetic.

My daughter injured her gum at school. As a result she needed to see a periodontist at the ripe old age of 12. I found Dr. Sonick through a google search. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience at Dr. Sonick’s office.
Dr. Sonick’s and his staff were professional and thorough from the first phone call to the final follow-​up call.
My daughter ended up needing to have a small procedure. We had a consultation before and after the procedure to understand what was going to happen, and about what to expect post-​procedure.
On the day of her procedure, my daughter was slightly apprehensive because she «doesn’t like needles.» Dr. Sonick and his talented staff immediately put her (and me) at ease.
During the procedure my daughter was offered headphones with music and a blanket for her comfort. When she was finished, she told me she sang through the procedure. What a relief for a worried mother. While my daughter was in the treatment room, I was offered a coffee. After my daughter’s procedure she was given a cold water bottle.
Our post-​procedure instructions were thorough and clear.
Dr. Sonick pays attention to the details. I’m a little type-​A, so for me to say that, this doctor really pays attention to the details! His follow-​through and punctiliousness is like a type-​A person’s nirvana. Both he, and his staff went out of their way to make both my daughter and I feel comfortable.
Dr. Sonick and his staff are truly special, and have set the bar very high. This is my first Unilocal review. I was inspired to leave this because Dr. Sonick and his office are truly remarkable.

Unprofessional and absolutely inappropriate, please invest your money in an oral surgeon who treats his or her patients with respect and gratitude. Dr. Sonick degraded my mother and openly mocked her in front of his associates due to her financial limitations. When she mentioned the professional opinion I gave her regarding the infection she developed after surgery, he then proceeded to taunt her for even asking a nurse, suggesting next time she’d be better off to consult the man who bags her groceries. When she called the office after her surgery with a question, he told her she was «bothering» him. Have respect for the public you serve and do your profession the favor of keeping your mouth shut. If I were an oral surgeon I’d be embarrassed to count you among my peers, luckily I am not, I am a nurse and doctoral student. I look forward to sharing this review with whomever will lend me their time.
