Today was my first visit to Sargent Peppers. I arrived about 1:45 there were two tables with people having lunch. Service and facility: I was greeted as I walked through the door by a friendly server/bartender she was attentive and polite in a sincere way; she didn’t have the phony smile you get in a lot of places. Although located in a rundown strip mall that looked less than desirable the inside was clean and adequately lit for the time of day. The Food: They have a limited menu with typical bar type food. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with garlic fries. Burger was average in flavor and a bit smaller(thinner) than expected. Bacon was ok nothing special here. A slice of American cheese topped the burger but was put on after cooking, didn’t melt in. I considered the garlic fries to be good, plenty of garlic and lite on the oil so it didn’t make the fries soggy. I would have appreciated silverware as I personally am not fond of using my hands since the fries had the garlic and oil. I used the tooth pick that came in the burger. I saw a sign that advertised Happy Hour from 3:00 — 6:00 with discounted drinks and appetizers. Would I return for the food again? Based on the burger today if I was in the area sure, would I go out of my way no. Will I return to experience the happy hour yes.

My family and I regularly visit this place… The staff, food and service is awesome!!! Prices are affordable from the food to the beer & cocktails. They used to have an awesome«Happy Hour» too. Bartender makes a good Bloody Mary & Michelada.

Since the last review that I’ve written here I thought I may want to update with a few info on other items on their menu. My mom loves their fresh crab salad. Real fresh crab in any bar salad is damn near hard to find and this place definitely delivers. Tri tip sandwich is good while I’m not too much of a tri tip fan but I food enjoy it with the side of aus juice. But I am a fan of Swiss mushroom burger so you’ll never be disappointed. The western bacon cheese burger is a mess. The burger is amazing and I always find myself licking my fingers after that monstrosity. If you’re lucky they might have pineapple and they’ll have a fan good pineapple burger. On point. But overall, the bloody Mary and«Mozz» sticks is what keeps me coming back. Don’t get me wrong, everyone that I invite here loves their fries(in every variety) but I’m a mozz stock kinda gal. And the bartender that makes a mean b.m. is Amanda. Some times the cook here will create a new dish and ask patrons to try it out. +++++ Happy hour is m-f 3 – 6, beer pong night on Thursday, ladies night on Friday, and free pool. Win, win, win!

Place doesn’t look too great on the outside, it’s located near travis afb, which is nice and they give a military discount! Average bar set up when you walk in, but there is a back area away from the bar if you prefer. The burger meat honestly isn’t very good, doubtful that its made in house… but that’s not why you’d eat here. Go for the amazing fries and the tritip sandwich!

Food was okay. Used to be better. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. At least the beer was cold.

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside… in fact it seems like you’re about to go into a dive bar in the middle of Louisiana but once inside its much more like a sports bar. They’ve got several flat screen TV’s with access to NFL season pass so if a game if playing, they can pull it up. But enough about the place! Their tri-tip burger($ 9.49)with their supa dupa garlic fries are the bomb diggity! They really hype it up especially if it’s your first time there… but it’s with good reason and they take pride in it because they do spend the time marinating it for like a day and slow cooking it. Don’t forget to add the free peppers and onions to finish it off. I’ve also had the grilled chicken sandwich($ 8.99) with papers and onions and again it was solid with good balanced flavor. They’ve got some pretty large seating capacity for a large group around the back end so don’t be discouraged if you only seat the 4 booths and bar seating when you walk in. The server always says she’s not fast enough working the tables by herself but the service is usually pretty good and cordial and that goes a long way. There aren’t many choices to eat near Travis AFB but this is definitely one place worth coming to!

I would like to have given this place 4 stars, but my friends say the burgers were terrible. I enjoyed my drinks and the entertainment. The karaōke was fun to watch and the bartender was nice. I liked how the crowd was small and there weren’t any weirdos lurking around. I’ll go back again with friends and better prepare for karaōke. I would try the food one time and update my review if it’s good, but if it’s as bad as my friends say, I’ll just stick with drinks and dancing.

The only way you can eat this food is if you are half to totally drunk! I don’t know how this place get the great reviews! The tri tip was paper dry. I ordered the redhook shrimp that has teriyaki and shallots. Wrong! It was just breaded fried rubber and a side of what at first I thought was cocktail sauce. Turned out to be marinara sauce. gross! Who ever gave this place more then 1 star must have blacked out from being so drunk they didn’t know what the hell they were doing!

ZOMG! Long time lurker, first time review! I’d heard rumors about the tri-tip so I decided to come in today to satisfy my curiosity and inner fat girl desire… Hot l damn, the rumors are true!!! I’m pretty sure I ended up murdering a small trees worth of napkins it was soooo juicy! Not only was the bartender a sweetie, the cook AND the owner introduced themselves to me. The owner told me there is a spaghetti dinner every Monday and the sauce is made with the same tri tip! CANTWAIT!

The place is a combo bar and restaurant the seats are a little worn down but that isn’t always a bad thing. The tri tip sandwich here is amazing. Super soft meat and lots of flavor. The only negative is that this place could use some new seats and a little better service. The food is worth the little bit of bad.

Aren’t the most friendly but the garlic fries are delicious.. . Only bad experience is that I always order a well done burger and it always comes to the table medium well.

I kept hearing the hype and kept waiting for something to confirm the hype was wrong. Great drinks. Great people. The food… BESTBARFOODEVER. The food you get for the money is just silly. Grab the truth tip sandwich and beer battered GARLIC fries. 3 people and drinks for forty bucks. Retarded. Def don’t miss this place. I’ll be back!!!

Solid burger for a very reasonable price and cheap beer. 1 burger, garlic fries, and two beers for under $ 20. Excellent service. Great for a casual meal.

First timer here, was greeted with happy face and placed our order within 8 min of sitting doen. we waited for a very long time… realized that they have not even started cooking our food due to ticket didnt print to the back… this is such a disappointment. We had to place our order to go due to having to work hopefully the customer service can improved, even if busy they shouldve checked in with our orders… They did discounted our meals but sadly this place will not be seeing us for awhile. I can not fairly rate the food because its to go but it all looks good. Make sure you check up with them about your orders if it has been longer than 15 min of wait.

Honestly, I’m shocked at some of the reviews that this place has gotten. Based on my stars rating, you can tell I come here pretty often, both for food and the bar scene on weekends. A few things: For food: Probably runs neck and neck with Monsoon Burger for the best burger in town. Their beer battered fries are le bomb; I highly recommend them and they’ve got good appetizer specials during happy hour and on Sundays during football.(Speaking of which, they’ve got the games on Sundays starting at 10, better food and drinks than Buffalo Wild Wings for half the price… pretty much a no-brainer for me.) And honestly, I’ve never waited very long for food, and I’ve eaten here probably a dozen times. For the bar scene: Some weekends it’s slow, some weekends it’s packed. Doesn’t seem to be a lot of rhyme or reason for either(though they’ve had Terry Sheets Band as well as Buck Ford play live, which really packed the place). Regardless though, the bartenders have been fantastic, they have a much more diverse liquor selection than the bars nearby(Limelight, Cloud 9, etc.) as well as nine beers on tap. That’s not to mention the best DJ/Karaōke guy in the area on Friday/Saturday nights. Also, beer pong competitions on Thursday nights. The song selection is much better than anyone else I’ve seen locally, on top of the fact that they’re not played via CD *cough* Cloud 9 *cough*. As far as I’m concerned, there’s no better bar in Fairfield(and probably Vacaville, too). I’m really hoping that this place picks up and starts making oodles of cash. It’s a local business with high upside. CHECKITOUT.
