Sasco Hill Beach

Sasco beach is horrible. For a beach in fairfield you would think the town would take care of it better. Hardly any parking, bathrooms are before you drive in so if you are sitting far away at the end or beyond the jetty you will have a walk. The snack bar is pretty useless and doesn’t have much.
This beach is also pretty dirty. They hardly clean the garbage that gets left behind and don’t seem to take very often. Not to mention the sand is just terrible but that is said for most beaches along Long Island Sound. It gets very crowded here, when it’s super busy good luck trying to get your car out, chances are some dbag parked right behind you.

Quiet. Private.
Beautiful setting w a view of the end of Southport Harbor, Westport & across the LI Sound– Long Island, NY.
Adjacent to the private golf coarse, infamous mansions of Sasco Hill. Peaceful sea grass meadows, excellent bird watching, kayaking, sailing. Excellent sea glass sleuthing.
Life guard on duty @ the main beach area but not beyond the stone jetty.
Small snack bar.
New stone restrooms. BBQ grills, picinic tables, recycling. Beach is raked wkly.
Long ample parking lot along the back of the beach except on holiday/​weekends.
