I’ve been coming here for many years and the food is always wonderful. The owners are so friendly and very welcoming! My go to is the wonton soup. It comes in a very large bowl if you’re dining in or in a huge to go cup for take out. They always pack it full with wonton, never ever do they skimp on the good stuff. Today I tried the bulgogi over rice(#10), soooooo good. It comes with a small side of steamed carrots and a cabbage salad. Parking is extremely limited, so be ready to park on the side of the building or elsewhere as they only have 4 parking stalls right in front that’s shared with the neighboring businesses. The building is old and drab but the food never disappoints!

This is one of my all-time favorite, go-to spots for comfort food. I always get the #16 Pork sautéed w/kimchi. This is a no frills, simple place to go to for food. Very friendly owners. They’ve been here for what seems like forever! Everyone else bashing this place, you’re all entitled to your opinions. Just please make sure you align your expectations with where you’re at. You’re in Fairfield on North Texas Street — NOT Korea Town in Los Angeles. Fairfield isn’t exactly known for its culinary chops. This is a simple, family owned, no frills restaurant. If you think Panda Express is better than this place, then please, by all means, enjoy your beef with broccoli and authentic pot stickers at Panda.

I have been eating their Kimbap for weeks now. And it’s my life saver! I’m on my 1st trimester of pregnancy and all I can eat is some fruits and veggies. I have tried eating other vegetable sushi from other restaurants, but Sam’s kimbap is the only veggie roll my stomach can enjoy eating. I’m so thankful for your kimbap and for keeping me alive

Oh. My. goodness! This place has the best Korean barbecue I ever had ! It’s a little hidden gem in Fairfield that could be easily passed up. Resides on north Texas, almost to the corner of Travis. It’s not your chic Korean barbecue but I’m telling you the flavors are screaming ! I had the combo plate with the teriyaki chicken and Korean beef. The Korean beef takes first place I will be back very soon to take friends and family

I love Sams! My friend introduced it to me a while ago and it’s been a while but so glad to have the #10 today. I should’ve got more than 1 order cus when I got home, my fam all wanted to try it haha, and they loved it too. I need to find out if they have a catering menu because this would be amazing for pot luck! And yes, the staff are the best here. Dine in or take out, Sams is always the best!

Backstory!(TLDR; if you must) My fiancé and I wanted to grab food in Fairfield. He mentioned Sam’s. I had« Unilocal review apprehension» from previous Unilocal search history. I decided to try it out, and I’m happy to have done so. Things we liked: –It was lunch time and wasn’t busy. –the menu is pictures on the wall, makes it easy for me to know exactly what I’m ordering. –the food is made to order. –it was quiet. –the owner was very kind –you pay up front first, great when on a time crunch, you know you have paid already and can leave when you need to. The Food: –I ordered spicy beef bulgogi, and my fiancé ordered beef teriyaki. ^I like spicy foods, but this was a more sweet spice than heat spice. It tasted very good though and I was please. ^The terriyaki was what you’d expect. Tasted like teriyaki minus sesame seeds. The Rice: –It was different maybe a medium grain, I liked it. I’m used to making jasmine or basmati rice at home and this was a more bubbly/rounded rice for lack of a better term The Sides: –I loved my cabbage salad… but I’m a huge fan of cabbage. Fiancé gave me his(such love) –The isn’t a typical Korean place(owners are full korean, Sam’s daughter was running it that day) It’s not a banchan style. You get a steamed/boiled carrot side and the cabbage salad. Staff: –friendly, didn’t hassle us. Price: –I think the prices were fair considering other korean places near are charging similar or higher. For $ 12 bucks you’d expect banchan and all, but for $ 8 or $ 9 you’re satisfied with your portions enough. Would I go back? –I think so :) the meat portion was generous.

I first came here in 2013. We moved from SoCal so we had plenty of experience with Korean food. When we saw their menu, I was a little disappointed at first because it seemed like it was a very generic menu: teriyaki chicken, fried rice etc. It looked delicious, but nothing special. We asked the owner if she could make the fried rice with kimchi since that was what we were used to. She was surprised but agreed to do it. And for the rest of that year we always ordered it. The rice is amazingly moist, which is great because kimchi fried rice is horrible if dried out. The food is just all around delicious and I often had to stop eating just to catch my breath. But the real kicker is when I made a trip to Fairfield almost two years later. The owner took our order but kept giving my girlfriend an odd look. When it was her turn, her eyes lit up and she said«kimchi fried rice! And for you, #4 right? «. True, I may have frequented this establishment a little more than I should on a students income, BUT it’s really great when you go to a restaurant that remembers your favorite dishes. Two years later it was as good as I remembered. I made an account to write this review because I was so impressed by their customer service. Do ask for kimchi fried rice! It’s not on their menu but I don’t know of any other place in the area that will make it and if they do, their owner probably isn’t as nice!

Sam’s is about as ‘hole-in-the-wall’ as you can get. Building looks dilapidated and the interior is beyond basic. But the food and service are on-point. Really cheap, quick service, and generous portions matched with superb flavor make this a surefire stop.

Definitely my go to for Korean food(when my mom isn’t around… Lol). Small, humble place but the food hits the spot. I’ve gotten several dishes here for me and my family and everything has tasted good. Spicy chicken, bulgogi, spicy pork, pot stickers, fried rice… All really good!

I rate Sam’s 5 stars in fact I would rate them higher if they would let me. Their Pork Bulgogie, Japche and Teryake Beef are our favorites. However, all the dishes are great and just like Homemade! In fact I am going their right now as I just placed a pick-up order.

Well. I’ve been to this place twice. Once a few years ago and I remember it being really good. This second time the food wasn’t great. Before I talk about the food, please note there isn’t a parking lot here so you should park at grocery outlet next door. So myself and my daughter went and ordered teriyaki chicken with fried rice and the chicken noodle soup to go. My 6 year old enjoyed the soup, but my chicken was really bland and the rice was salty. It actually tasted like Rice-a-Roni. I was really disappointed. It didn’t even look like fried rice. It was yellow and didn’t taste or look fried. I spent about $ 15 and was disappointed and still hungry afterward.

I have been going to this place for years. The owner is always nice and polite. We usually get the beef or chicken plate. The beef is the best. It always tastes delicious. The meal comes with a raw cabbage salad with a yummy dressing and a side of cooked carrots. The vegetables are my favorite. If we take out our food I always ask my husband to get me a big container of the cabbage salad. Its a great place to eat that’s why I give it 5 stars.

Good for groups when empty. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Kimchee was too sour. Good portions on plates. BBQ chicken was alright. Salad refreshing. Great take out spot.

It may just have been the cook for that day, but my experience was not a pleasant one. We ordered the fried rice with chicken, bbq beef, and pot stickers. The rice in the fried rice was not firm, it was soggy and tasted awful. It had a strange taste to it, as if the chicken was seasoned with italian herbs, while the fried rice tasted as if it were sitting under saran wrap all day. The Beef was very overcooked, and was soaked in cooking oil. It was like taking a spoonful of vegetable oil and eating it with some old white rice and a little bit of meat. The potstickers were very tiny, overpriced, and very much out of a very cheap-quality bulk bag. I almost forgot, the soggy carrot side dish, just no. No authenticity in those dishes. I am willing to try again because of all of these positive reviews I see on the place, but the first experience was very disappointing.

I have been here a few times. I ordered the soup and it had freeze dried green onions in it. Yuk! The teriyaki chicken was ok… but…I don’t understand the logic behind freeze dried anything at a restaurant. Never again.

Sam’s Teriyaki is one of those places that no matter how long it’s been since you’ve last eaten there, it’s going to taste the same. And by same, I mean amazing. The restaurant is small and cozy, definitely hole-in-the-wall and unsuspecting. The lady at the counter is always happy and smiling, very attentive. I always order the spicy pork bulgogi. It comes loaded with rice, shredded marinated pork, pickled carrots and an interesting salad. It’s always delicious and always cooked to order. Most dishes are about $ 8 – 10 but there will definitely be enough for left overs.
