Solid and clean gym facility and cardio machines. Chief complaint is that the personal sound systems(links to the overhead TVs) on the cardio machines perform poorly. Have notified staff, but it never gets fully resolved. This has been a constant since I’ve been a member(3 years).

For the price, this branch has a ton of equipment — lots of weight machines of every stripe, body weight exercise stations, treadmills, bikes and gazelles. The bathrooms and showers are maintained OK. A great no frills workout space.

I’ve been at this Planet Fitness for about a year and a half and I’m counting down until my contract is up. I’ve been to other Planet Fitness facilities that are much nicer than this one, but it’s convenient to my office. The main problem with this facility is the space. It’s TOOSMALL. I can’t believe they wouldn’t pony up the money to rent the space next door, which was empty for over a year before Tumble Jungle moved in. There is no space to do anything. The open floor area is minuscule, and can only fit about 4 people at once. The aisles are narrow, and you feel like you’re in the way of the machine movements. The women’s locker room is huge but I would rather see that space in the gym rather than the locker room. Also, in the winter, the heat is cranked up pretty high. I’ve never wanted the heat on in a gym, ever, regardless of the temperate outside. I also want to leave the Planet Fitness franchise because I don’t believe people should be rewarded with pizza and bagels once a month. I think this business model is absurd. I also want access to more equipment, including boxes, kettle bells, wall balls, and a real free standing squat rack. I’m also sick of watching people do exercises incorrectly. I understand that PF is a «gateway» gym but it’s no longer for me.

Lot of program, lot of branches, and has great deal. Almost the important machine for work out and body building are here. Very happy with them.

I joined this gym because it was fairly near my office. What a mistake. Place is very poorly maintained. Lots of very old equipment. Worst problem of all is that the parking lot is unsecured and, as I found out, this PF is in a very bad part of Bridgeport. My car was broken into in the parking lot — window smashed. Cops told me it happens a lot here. Staff was very unhelpful and I could tell from their«whatever» attitude that they were used to this. Maybe other Planet Fitness gyms are nice, but this one definitely is not.

I joined here a few months ago. The equipment is alright, albeit a little squeaky and rickety. What made me cancel was my tanning experience– there was a greasy body smudge on the mirror in the dressing area and the tanning booth smelled like onions. I wore my sneakers in the booth for hygiene purposes and vowed never to come back. Going to join the Edge– same price, same amenities. Definitely cleaner.

Seriously bummed. Woke up early Saturday to work out. Says open at 7:00. It’s 7:30 an there’s a crowd growing at the locked door. I am out of town and have never been to this PF before. This is no reward for being motivated on a Saturday morning.

I’ve been going to Planet Fitness for about a year after having a terrible experience at Fitness Edge, which is just up the street. Planet Fitness doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s an affordable membership with out all the«perks» you never end up using. They offer tanning, clean bathrooms, 25 – 30 treadmills, about 30 other cardio machines(stairs, bikes, etc), and all the weight machines you could ever want. They have the rest of your standards like mats and balls as well. The only problem I have ever had here was a guy talking on his cell phone next to me for about 45 minutes, which is against policy. Other than that, I can’t complain. The staff is friendly and usually says«hi» when you come in and leave, and they’re pretty good with enforcing all of their policies. I’ve never been bothered by another member– if anything, people have been friendly enough to give me tips if I wasn’t sure how to use a machine. They offer usage data so you can avoid peak times, although I’ve never had a hard time finding a treadmill.
