This is the type of place that I would typically gravitate towards. However everything that I had was terrible it tasted like everything was seasoned with cigarette ash.

Today was the very first time I had ever heard of Pearls diner on fairfield. I was looking for a family friendly restaurant that was inexpensive and wasnt part of a commercially owned chain resturant. I was advised that Pearls was the place for me, and they were 100% correct. My wife and i with out eldest daughter all had meals with drinks, their portion size were huge, we left completely full and a box full of left overs. And it only cost 22.50 total for all 3 of us. If you love homecooked food at a good price this is the place for you.

Old fashion, friendly service. The furniture is worn but clean. Great coffee and good food. Nothing fancy but nice place.

Went here with the family on a whim. My mom remembered it being great years and years ago. Well, times have changed. I honestly didn’t know a diner could make tasteless pancakes. They were dry and had no flavor. The hashbrowns tasted oddly like the pancakes. It was really a terrible meal. I was with 6 people and none of us enjoyed our food. Also they have«freedom toast» so no, definitely will never go back.

Oh yeah, greasy spoon diner food, big portions, small prices, bottomless cups of coffee, breakfast any time, fried bologna if you please, clean, homey, simple but honest salad bar, dessert case, mile high lemon meringue pie, sweet and cheery waitstaff, and it’s open 24⁄7. If you’re in breakfast mode, try one of their hotcakes(which, like me, you may better know as pancakes). The batter must have some secret ingredients, making them much denser than ordinary pancakes, and very flavorful. And VERY big. Wish it were a bit more citified, but that’s just me. Bookmark now and come on in to satisfy your appetite for some honest to goodness diner food and definite down home hospitality, and a pancake the size of Rhode Island.

This menu offers«freedom toast» and«freedom fries» without irony. I did not belong here. Also, the food was sub-par.

Pearl’s is like a hidden gem that’s buried off Route 4. If you drove past it, you may wonder what kind of place this is exactly. It used to be a Ponderosa and it still looks similar inside. The place has such a laid back vibe and divey atmosphere, and the prices are definitely a nice touch. I love this place because you can order breakfast anytime(which is what I always get, no matter what time of day.) If you like pancakes, then you are in for a real treat with Pearl’s. They are literally the size of the plate… THESIZEOFTHEPLATE!!! I went in and asked for just one pancake last time with a side of goetta(YUM) and I still couldn’t eat the whole thing! This place has such divey charm, when you go in the bathroom you’ll find a bouquet of fake flowers tucked inside an empty Seagram’s wine cooler bottle with a picture of the beach adorning it. I love this place! I have also read that they have karaōke during the week. I will definitely have to get back here and check that out one night!

I happened upon this restaurant as a suggestion from some friends who frequent there. I wanted to try a new place for breakfast and pleasantly found out that this place is open 24hrs and also serves breakfast anytime. I got the steak and eggs with a side of pancakes that turned out to be huge! I can only eat one pancake normally so this was more than enough. I think that it is a good place to get good food for good value. It you like down home greasy diners with some jesus on the side then this is the place for you! I just happened to like that every once and awhile. The religious motif did not bother me, I just took it as hospitality that you dont get much anymore.

Great anytime, open late on weekends for the revelers. Glad they banned smoking as this was a smoker’s heaven. Now not smoky but, Hey! Clean your freaking doors! Every time I come here the glass looks Ike it hasn’t been cleaned in awhile. Makes you wonder what else isn’t clean. Breakfast is always good, lunch specials, well, let’s just say you might not get what you were expecting sometimes. Stuffed cabbages may be a cabbage leaf with some chili inside. This is not a place where you will be overwhelmed with deliciousness, but it is solid. If you are in the area for Jungle Jim’s, there are better choices for lunch, not so many for breakfast.

The Morning Riser is one of my all time favorite meals! I live in Los Angeles now, and every time I come back… I make a trip just for it!!! The service is friendly and the coffee is always fresh. I love Pearl’s!

I love pearls. It’s the closest thing to home cooked in the area. Its great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a 2:00am after the bar drunken meal. Diners are the gems of their towns and this is the best diner in the area of Fairfield. If you want an up scale place move on but if you want a diner with the sweetest wait staff go to pearls.

The food was pretty good. I had breakfast there on day for brunch. The atmosphere is not the cleanest or most modern but all in all decent food.

The service was good, the food okay. As a place to go after the bars close, I give it 4 stars, during the day, 2 stars. So I’ll average out to 3, but in truth it looks a whole lot better at 2:30 in the morning.
