«It is, what it is.»(Translation: It’s not the best, but what’aya gonna do?) Panda Express is what Taco Bell is to Mexican food, 100% inauthentic. It’s fast food for the masses, I don’t care if it’s a shiny, silver, serving dish behind a glass that you point & choose items for your two entrée, styrofoam dinner… It’s just a fancy trough. The only difference between us and feeding time @ the farm is that we use utensils.(‘And sometimes not even that.) Front counter — So, when people complain, bitch & moan about how mediocre or bad the food is, I can’t help but laugh. «What the hell do you expect for what you’re paying?» You want to pay discount prices for real Chinese food… Tell me how many authentic Chinese restaurants take coupons? As the ol’ cliché goes, «You get what you pay for,» and to the contrary, «You get what you do pay for.» Panda Express is «McChinese,» people! The sooner you learn that, the better it will be for everyone… We don’t have to listen to drawn out whining. I rarely eat @ the Panda since moving to the area from South OC about a year and a half ago, especially after the sh*tty operations at the Vacaville location.(How many times are you going to run out of rice before remedying the problem? WTH is that about? That’s like McDonald’s running out of buns or fries… Mind boggling.) I’ve had great food & service from their SoCal counterparts. However, I seem to find the common thread between many of the fast food shops in the Fairfield/Vacaville area is the apathetic customer service and subpar food… ‘Even for fast food standards. It’s like the bar was set to «Don’t give a f*k» and there it sat. I find it surprising because with such a concentration of «fat food» franchises in a relatively small area, that competition would be fierce… ‘And I was wrong. Nope, the broad blanket attitude is rather complacent and relaxed, as if adopting the view towards the clientele, «These people will eat anything,» and you know what, they’re not to far off. Apologies, I digress… ‘Back to Panda Express. The order: Bowl: 1 entrée &1 side($ 5.80) Entrée: Beijing beef Side: Chow mein Photo — Small soda: Root beer($ 1.60) Note: If you opt for the Shanghai Angus Steak or Walnut Shrimp there is an additional charge for«Premium Entrée» dishes.(LOL — Premium? That just means it’s day old and not two days.) The food, as expected… It was perfectly, «M’eh.» The Beijing beef was a bit hard & chewy, and like most fast food Chinese places, buried in sauce. The chow mein was none to impressive either BUT it’s pretty much what I expected.(Shrugs) «It is, what it is.» I was hungry, it was edible, and it did the job. There’s fantastic food and then there’s functional food, Panda like so many«fat food» places falls under the latter of the two. Some places just of a better job @ it than others. The shop looked relatively clean and the was staff relatively friendly and helpful. The cashier: Reijing — pronounced just like Beijing but with an «R.» She was great! I inquired about their eggplant dish which I did not see in the double rows of serving chaffs… Reijing asked if I would like an order of eggplant and that she could put in a request for one. I replied, thank you but I was merely curious about it. I’m a sucker for eggplant. Beijing’s offer to have a fresh batch cooked up was very appreciated. I’m not an über-picky kinda food BUT I do know what I like. If I’m paying top dollar for prime rib @ Five Crowns in Corona Del Mar, then yes, I expect the steak to be cooked to a perfect medium-rare. However, if I’m ordering over-the-counter, hot plate egg rolls, potstickers, and generic fired rice cooked in bulk then the expectation scale is adjusted accordingly. Are people really surprised when their food that they just had dished out of troughs doesn’t taste like a made to order menu item from a real Chinese restaurant like Yuan Xing… And if they are, I’ll be sure to visit them in «Neurotic-land» whenever I want a break from reality. Sometimes, I wonder if any of these people ever had real, authentically prepared, Chinese cuisine? If they did, they would know that even on a good day, Panda Express is not it.(True story) Yuan Xing @ Vacaville — — Big Aloha! Food: 3 Ambiance: 3 Service: 4(Reijing) Value: 3 Perm entrée extra charge Shanghai angus steak Honey walnut shrimp

Sorry, but they don’t have zero stars… these people are clueless. Waited in line for 15 min while they were taking care of orders and running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Finally next in line and they went past me to a family… workers are absolutely clueless, like I was invisible. Left completely disappointed with their customer service…

Its Panda Express. Food been sitting out. Fast chinese food. Greasy. Got my fix for the next few months. Next time I feel like mediocre chinese take out, I will be back.

This is literally the worst Panda I’ve ever had. The Kung pao chicken is flavorless and the rice is hard and under cooked. It’s horrible. Just don’t go. I think it’s time to get new cooks!

I rarely come to panda but my kids wanted the orange chicken. Hardly come to this location and was a bit set back from this experience. The workers are so slow! There was only two people in front of us and it felt like forever until it was our turn. Then when we get up, half our items were not available yet. The workers also seem very dry. No sincere customer service. All other Panda Express locations have a friendly and fast service. We even went next door to grab a treat from the yogurt place. Come back and the food is still not ready. The line was now out the door, mostly because of their slow service! They even scooped very old fried rice, mixed with be. when I was eating I came across dry hard rice! Just affirms it’s not my fav restaurant and now this location is not recommended. Employees need better training to provide faster service Annd NOT to scoop up dry hard leftovers mixed with new. So Gross.

So disgusted. Our food had sat for hours. Pots tickers were rock hard and Shangai steak Omg was like eating jerky with bamboo in it. There’s no way it was made fresh. The onions were so dry I spit them out.

Worst customer service ever. There’s was no line what so ever the girl said she’d be right with us, but was to busy flirting with her co worker Jose and making herself and him a plate. So me and my husband just left.

Used to be a GREAT spot to go and see friendly faces for a few years, yet everyone was replaced or went their separate ways. Food still has the good taste but new staff equals in and out quickly. 4 stars for a super close location but 3 stars overall now.

Stop serving small portions to some and large to others. I paid 11.00 then realized you offer military discounts, showed my badge for 8.00 so that’s really what I earned in food. I come here to eat my fast chinese food but with a little more flavor and good selection. The food was not as hot as normal, service was good and fast, the line was at the door, and my portion, well, fill up your spoon, not just scoop to put in the dish. It seemed like they were just filling up containers with basic non full scoops because the cook was slow or the training was bad. I have been here 11 times in the past 6 months, so it’s frequent, but honestly, I watched people in front of me get larger portions of scoops, then I received smaller portions, I was going to walk out, as she smiled sarcastically when she seen my face, so I just asked for food on the side instead, so I could get regular portions, guess what, that worked, she had no choice but to fill the side containers, and I slowed her down to pay attention to my requests. She poured more sauce in my food than food, so of course everything spilled as I drove home all over the bag, utensils, and other food. Guess what kids, another bad review today. Could be that the location is trying to save money, or these kids feel they have power by giving you what you don’t want. A messy plating. I love Panda, and I will be going here again, but now I a smart and if I see small portions, they will go into side containers and sauce will not go in my food, but the side as well to avoid spillage and sticky containers, food cross contaminated, and being totally unhappy on how the service is going bad quickly. There is a location 9 miles away in Vacaville which is majorly superior to this location, accomodating, and seems to be more professional. You are next to a major shopping area and premier stores, train accordingly, get your staff to wash their hands after smoking cigarettes in front of the store. I am busting you out today because, I am getting exhausted and will now go to a location 9 miles away, out of my way, to get what I want, good, hot, chinese food. Either you train your staff, or lose more customers. It seems you get a lot of travelers looking to eat here, and it’s a valid choice, but for consumers who are local and have choices, you are losing us. Your travelers is your only savior, and eventually they will read this, and make a choice if they just want an alternative to old greasy precooked burgers at the chains, or enjoy a warmer, inconsistent meal. I am here for a meal, make sure you give me one next time, or every review I will post pics and warn the general public what to expect. It is food, have it accordingly and consistent…

Tried this place for the second time and I have to say it is still a miss. It actually is nestled in a great location so I would think that they would be up on their game but I was disappointed. I am not a HUGE Panda Express fan, but the food is quick and you can pick and choose your combos and when you want chinese food quick for a good price then this is the place to go. However, I prefer certain locations better than this one. So this place is nestled in a shopping center where the flow of cars is constantly going. Parking is a bit cramped because they are right at the opening/exit of the parking lot. Now the place is airy and clean and a decent size. However, the employees need to pick up the service. I waited a good 10−15minutes before they were able to get to me, and there were about 2 people in front of me. Basically they had a new girl starting off the line and she was getting quite flustered and looked so nervous. I felt bad! She kept running back n forth to another employee asking questions. Interesting enough, the other main employees kind of stood around at the cashier instead of jumping in. Hence getting more irritable. Another poor factor is that it was 5pm, and most of their food had run out so many of us were standing in line waiting for the food to cook. Having been in the restaurant business, I know it is smart to be fully stocked during lunch and dinner rush. Meaning that even though you don’t have it all stocked, at least 80%-90% should be good to go. Theres was around 60%. I will give it an extra star because the poor new girl was rushing like a crazy lady BUT doing her best. Also the food I got was newly cooked and was pretty good. If I get stuck in the area ever again… maybe I will try it out, but def. not coming here just because.

Typical panda express. Love the chow mein and bejing beef. Three stars because it always upsets my tummy when I eat here so I usually avoid this place. Expensive and loaded with sodium and calories.

Not very accommodating! Out of all the fast food options in their area, I chose Panda Express on a rainy evening 2 weeks ago and all I could think of was: I’d LOVE a cup of hot and sour soup! Buuut, that came to a quick halt when I walked in and was devastated to find out they had ran out! From the 5 employees behind the counter not ONE knew how to make the soup! REALLY??? Fine, what am I going to do at this point. So I chose from what they DID have available. Of course there’s $ 1.25 additional charge on the angus steak and a shrimp item. And I kindly asked if they’d consider not charging due to the fact they didn’t have the soup, but she was quick to respond with a big fat NO! Ugh. Whatever. I took my food and walked out. Highly disappointed that night. TRAINYOURSTAFF!

We had a good dinner at this Panda Express. We have had food to be a bit dry in other places but it was great at this location this night. i love the bejing beef and orange chicken. I would like to see not so much celery in the noodles. It was pretty heavy that night.

This place is getting a bad rap on their rating. It’s usually busy during lunch and their workers are pretty efficient. The food overall is good.

It was hard to understand how a Panda Express, who are generally all consistent with flavor and product, could have a 2 star review — until I visited this store. As I was making my order, the Hispanic manager answered his Iphone that had a picture of a scantilly dressed woman on the front come up as the caller’s picutre(after digging around in his dirty pockets), placed half of the food he had begun to dish up for me on the counter, and then walked away yelling in Spanish on the phone as he waived another employee to come over and continue filling my order. Not to mention, the food had been sitting out for hours; it was mildly warm, dry, and crunchy(and I didn’t order the chow mein crunchy). The flavors were bland. So, service 0 star. Food 1 star. Won’t be back to this location — and I encourage the rest of you to drive an extra couple of miles up the highway to the next Panda Express — it will be worth the extra 5 minutes driving time. Trust me.

worst Panda ever. Both ladies behind the counter were rude, snappy and rushing everyone. Also the least amount of food I’ve ever had in a bowl. I know it was after 8pm, but I also expect the food to be fresh still. Definitely will go elsewhere next time.
