Organic Matters Cafe

I went here a few times the last time I was in Fairfield. There are a few tasty things on the menu but this little café needs to do much better.
The good: the freshly-​made bagels and their flavored cream cheeses.
The not-​so-​good: It’s unbelievable but this vegan-​friendly all-​organic café doesn’t have a single healthy thing on the menu. Their food is too salty and heavy. They have a few vegan ‘faux’ dishes — faux egg salad, faux tuna salad. But they don’t have vegetables on the menu, just a couple of pre-​packaged salads loaded with sharp, salty, oily dressing. No choice of dressing.
And their quality control is lacking. Ask for eggs ‘over easy’ or sunny side up and you’ll get cold rubbery eggs with hard yolks and burnt edges (this happened to me twice). Eggs and toast comes on a 6-​inch plate, the toast piled on top of the eggs, you have to chase after the server to get butter, etc. or wait in line at the counter if you don’t catch her in time.
Their service is lacking graciousness, too, in stark contrast to Everybody’s the whole foods market in which the café is located. There are limited options and the servers do not go the extra quarter inch. I don’t think this is the fault of the servers, who are kind and gracious. It seems to be the policies, which are rigid and not customer-​friendly.

Comfortable and delicious. The staff is very friendly and is genuinely interested in providing quality products.

First time there! Great experience an friendly staff. Prices are very pleasing to the wallet. Got a macchiato an it was amazing! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who knows what great coffees and teas taste like.

Only been once and only since they rebranded… Wasn’t impressed with the coffee — at all — and the chai either. They have Juice!!! That changes everything for me. Altogether, since they have Everybody’s attached — still worth stopping by!

This place is awesome. We’ve needed a bagel restaurant since forever and this is perfect.
They have salt bagels and lox and cold brew coffee. They also have a bunch of other stuff and I’m sure it’s excellent but that’s all I need to be happy for the rest of time.

Delicious food! Creative menu! These folks serve the purist organic meals. I love the bagel sandwiches and the quiche is amazing! My new favorite restaurant.

Fresh organic everything. I had a begal with cream cheese and a cappuccino. It was all very good and at a decent price. The place itself is cute and it’s connected to Everybody’s so you can shop after you eat. Only 4 stars because you couldn’t get half of the menu so I’ll return once they get everything straighten out.
