Had a 4 year old 550 dollar bicycle and came in with open arms hoping to have the brakes and the transmission fixed. The middle aged guy there didn’t even take a look at it before he told me it wasent worth fixing and I should get a new one. All I needed was a couple things tweaked but the guy said he wouldn’t even work on the bike because he had projects ahead of it. Tried to get a wheel fixed but he showed me a 29.99 wheel and tried to sell it to me for 50 dollars. I left. Really bad service.

My boyfriend went into Mr bicycle because we had recently purchased a bike and had a question thinking they would have an answer but unfortunately they didn’t and that’s ok. What made us both upset was the poor customer service. The man behind the counter was extremely rude!!! Never will we visit nor buy from here.

My bike had a flat. I walked in 30 minutes after they opened and the young man behind the counter told me it’d be ready tomorrow. Yea…no. It’s a 10 minute fix but I don’t have the tools since I moved. Went down the street to Ray’s.

I just purchased a new bicycle from this place and will never return. Jose our sales guy was great, he helped pick out the bike that fit my son perfect. Jose put the training wheels on it and let my son test ride it throughout the store. Then some pin head from the back of the store came out and raised his voice at my 4 year old son.“You can’t use your brakes in here, look at what you are doing to our carpet. «Ok first of all don’t address my son in that tone. He’s excited about his new bike, not your run down carpet. And second of all other reviews I read spoke of this same issue and if it’s a problem having carpet in a bike shop then maybe you shouldn’t have carpet in a bike shop… Hello McFly. This will be the last time I spend my money here. I felt disrespected. If riding a bike in your store is not permitted then post a sign or something. Don’t let it happen and then get butt hurt about it.

I’ve been looking for a durable girls bike for my grand daughter. The customer service person was very helpful with what I need and what I want to know. I decided to buy the bike from this store.

I went in looking for road bike shoes for my wife. The man working there explained they didn’t sell clothing. I thought there was another bike store on the same road,(turns out it was Ray’s, one block down), so I asked if there was another store in the area. The man said«there is a store over by the outlets, but I can’t think of the name». I’m not sure why you would give someone the run around, when the product being sold isn’t even offered at your store. Thanks a lot for trying to give me a run around, dick. I’m glad I already spent several thousands on bikes at other shops. You surely won’t get my business.

If i could give it zero stars i would! Went there with my son today to get his inner tubes changed out, but as me and my son were walking in we were greeted with don’t turn your wheel like that you might mark up our carpets. Is it not a bike shop??? Anyways, we proceeded to tell the employee that we needed new inner tubes for both tires and how much the cost would be. He told us the cost and then told us that it would probably take 2 days to get it done!!! For inner tubes really!?! He said he was gonna start doing inventory and wouldn’t be able to touch it until he’s done. Very, Very disappointed! I then drove to ROCKVILLEBIKES, it was a complete 180 in service and production. Very nice and knowledgeable greeting. He took my number down and my name, i took off to costco to run some errands since it is close by. Was done shopping, got the call, came back, paid the man and was off on our way. DONOTGOTOMR. BICYCLEUNLESSYOUWANTTOBEDISRESPECTEDANDDISAPPOINTEDINTHEIRSERVICE!!!

I went to several lbs’s looking for a bike for my son. MR. Bicycle was actually the last stop on the list and boy I wish I had gone there sooner! The salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a very nice selection of Haro BMX bikes and Haro and Giant mtb’s. I found a nice Haro BMX bike for son at a great price. Overall great experience.

this place is great. I stupidly disassembled my wife’s headset and could not get the friggin thing back together for whatever reason… fiddled with it for hours. anyway, these guys hunted down some used but compatible headset nicknacks(bearings, etc) and installed it for a VERY reasonable price. They could have only opted to sell me a brand new headset which would have been pretty unnecessary but they hooked it up. Thanks guys, will definitely come back!

After my negative experience at Ray’s in Vacaville, I was still weary of stepping into yet another bike shop, but I REALLY want to BUY a bike … and, well, a few accessories. Earlier today I checked out Mike’s Bikes in Berkeley, and was greeted by a friendly and helpful staff(see Mike’s Bikes review), but my budget just didn’t quite meet the bar at Mike’s. On my way home I found Mr. Bicycle on Unilocal and decided to stop in. I figured I would start out by asking a few questions about their helmets … and WOW! Knowledgeable = CHECK; Friendly = CHECK; Helpful = CHECK; Pricing = GREATCHECK! I even rudely walked in the door several minutes before closing, and they WERESTILLEXCEPTIONALLYHELPFUL!!! After looking at REI, Sports Authority, Mike’s Bikes, Big 5, and online, I found the perfect Helmet here at Mr. Bicycle at a great price, and so I bought it. On my way out I had my EYES on a few BIKES that shockingly seemed to fall in my price range … I shall go back tomorrow and see if I have as much luck finding a bike as I did with finding my helmet! A bit backwards … but this whole bike purchasing journey has been complicated for me. Hopefully Mr. Bicycle will be the answer. Until tomorrow…

Came in to look at bikes for our sons. Salesperson was very friendly & knowledgeable(if a bit on the talkative side) but was able to tell it like it is in terms of what bike would fit our needs. Appreciated his honesty. Came in after looking at Ray’s Cycles. Agree with the other review that prices here are lower than at Ray’s and salesperson was more helpful.(Did not like Ray’s customer service — had a bad experience there). Would recommend Mr. Bicyle if you’re shopping for bikes in Fairfield. Carries a limited selection of brands, so take that into consideration when buying.

I recently moved to Fairfield and immediately went on the hunt for a good bike shop. I ride a fixie and decent parts are hard to come by, especially in bike shops that either fall on the pro or family side of bicycle sales. Even when I do manage to find a compatible part, it’s ridiculously priced, forcing me to either go to Apex Cycles in Davis or to buy online. During my hunt for a home LBS, I first went to Ray’s Cycles. I read the reviews on Unilocal and Ray’s seemed to fit my needs more than Mr. Bicycle. I walked in, saw slightly jacked up prices(expected of most bike shops), and kindly walked out after talking with a couple of the employees. Don’t get me wrong. The employees at Ray’s Cycles were helpful and knowledgeable. I just didn’t like the prices I saw. Went to Mr. Bicycle down the street and have been happy ever since. Not only do they carry fixie parts, but are knowledgeable and made great recommendations. I picked up a track cog(17t) and a chain for roughly $ 25 including tax. To put this in perspective, Ray’s Cycle’s track cog alone cost $ 30. Went home and realized I didn’t have the proper tools to take out my locking. Service price to replace sprocket at Ray’s Cycles was $ 10. Mr. Bicycle said they’d do it for free. For those of us riding track bikes or fixies, Mr. Bicycle is definitely the way to go.

For all of those out there who don’t want to spend thousands on a triathlon-quality bike that – let’s face it – we’ll never use to do much more than ride to the grocery store. I had a lot of trouble finding a place in North or East Bay with the mid-price, Cruiser/Comfort selection of my beloved Bicycle Warehouse down in San Diego, but this is it. Salesperson was helpful, fiddling around with the seat on my husband’s bike and even relocating a reflector so that it was just the right fit. Good range of accessories, too. Mostly Raleigh and Giant bikes, from what I could see. They appear to do a brisk business in tune ups and other repairs, too. Several locals stopped in with questions while we were buying my husband’s bike, so I think they probably have a reputation for knowing what they’re doing.
