Mike’s Pizza of Fairfield

As good as I remember it. I just moved back to town and hoped the lackluster reviews about the food falling off weren’t true. They are wrong. I got a chicken turnover and a cheese pizza and both were amazing.
Look, it is Greek pizza. If that isn’t your thing, you should probably head somewhere else.

We ordered Mikes pizza to night for dinner. Wow it was really super good! They listened to their customers comments and improved their pizza. Pizza wasn’t salty and cheese wasn’t rubbery at all and the crust was delicious as usual. Cheers!

Very friendly staff. Very crappy pizza. Thick, flavorless crust and skimped on toppings. People who think this is good pizza have never eaten good pizza.

Just ordered a pizza and a turnover with extra buffalo sauce on th side. Did not receive the sauce on the side. We called just to let the manager know it was forgotten, the manager the said why don’t you go somewhere else to find your pizza and turnover and take your friends with you. I have never been so disrespected as a paying customer in my entire life. I will never return to this establishment again.

Very solid pizza. Honestly a 4 out of 5 stars is pretty good since I’m from Brooklyn NY!

Only draft Coors beer in a small plastic cup.

It s one of this night: our large mushroom spicy chicken pizza ended up being too large to finish it. Truth is it was bad enough to make our appetite disappear. Bad crust, tasted like cardboard and ingredients that were so heavy to digest.
We used to enjoy this place enough to make it a no brainer to pick it over Colony’s pizza located couple of feet away. The cook must have been on vacation tonight. I will wait before going back there, very disappointed.

Best cheese turnover everrrrrrr

The Falcon Turnover is amazing. Discovered it one day while I was looking at the menu waiting for my take out order. It took my regular (but still awesome!) chicken turnover to the next level… I’m never switching back!

Honestly, I can’t believe they have stayed in business with this junk. I have never in my whole life eaten pizza this bad. The crust was clearly straight from the freezer and who knows how old!!! Greasy, but not even the good kind of greasy, just mush. basically tasted like plastic. I can’t even explain the calamari, but if they served calamari in prison, this would be the product. Plastic looking rings (only) that look like they were made in a factory as opposed to a kitchen. And oddly, they smelled like rotten fish, which i’m not sure how that’s possible bc I don’t think it was even REAL SEAFOOD!!! I’m actually embarassed for them. It’s shameful that they would serve another human being this ‘food product’.

It’s been a while since I have had pizza at Mike’s, when it used to be somewhat of a hole in the wall. Now the décor is much nicer, but the pizza is not what it used to be. I think the main problem with the pizza is the crust. It’s a medium crust, but it’s tough, almost like bread, and reminds me of something you buy in the supermarket. If you want a really good pizza, I cannot recommend Mikes.

My friend’s and I decided to come here after seeing that the wait across the street at Colony grill looked a bit long. We get to Mike’s, sit down and order our food and it takes an obscenely long time. When we got there we were the only people at the restaurant. In the time we were there, three other parties came in. We ordered two pizzas and one calzone. Nothing outrageous and no specialty toppings of any sort. We finally get our food which is OK, nothing amazing. Then comes waiting for our check. The waiter is busy with the three other tables so I go up to the register and see if I can just settle our bill with the guy manning the phone. Our waiter sees this and asks from across the room if I want our check, I say yes and sit down. Instead of writing up our check he goes back to his other three tables, gives a check to one, brings drinks to another, and brings pizza to the third. Okay… We wait some more. Still nothing. Finally I am able to make eye contact/​gesture for our bill and he seems to remember that we asked for our check ten minutes ago. I see him write it up quickly and bring it over.
We should have just waited it out at Colony.

Located right along Route 1 in downtown Fairfield is Mike‘s Pizza. This spot has been open longer than most of its competition. It is owned and staffed by a very friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable. Their pizza is greek style, done well. It does have quite a bit of grease, but don‘t let that scare you. Hot wings are also good here. Mike‘s is a good casual spot to grab some no-​frills pizza and spend time with your friends.

Go get your pizza slice somewhere else! Order the wings or something else.
The mister and I were enjoying our walk along Post road on Satuday afternoon. We stop by Mike’s for a quick bite. We ordered two slices of regular and half a dozen of hot wings. Service was friendly.
We received two small slices of pizza and meaty wings. The pizza tastes like old reheated pizza and rated below mediocre. I was left with an bad taste of oil and grease in my mouth. The hot wings were very good.
Just don’t order the pizza here.

I love Mike’s Pizza. I’ve been going here since I was, probably 7 or 8 years old. I used to walk here from my house growing up and I’d always get 2 slices of pizza and a cream soda. I love Mike’s pizza. No one has better pizza. The place hasn’t changed a bit. I like it that way. It’s like the only think in fairfield that is still nice and casual. Everyone should have their pizza.

I have eaten better frozen pizzas. Reminds me of something you would get in college after a keg party. [I guess if you are a Fairfield U student this could be helpful] Best pizzas in the vicinity of Mikes — Frank Pepe on commerce drive — Naughty Dolphin by the train station or The Pantry 75 feet away!
