Dr. Mike is great and Jim his assistant is just as wonderful! I have had many pets all my life. I’ve always had a cat or dog or both and I’m 44 now. So I have dealt with a lot of vets in my time. My dog Daisy is epileptic and I wanted a second opinion on her treatment so after a glowing recommendation from a family member I called him. He agreed with the treatment but instead of bleeding me for more blood test he kept her on the meds, which were cheaper than Kroger, and told me to call if there was any problems. The way Dr mike and Jim handled my dog hooked me. They actually like and care about animals and it shows. They don’t treat you like some kind of idiot, they talk to you, not down to you. I can’t say enough good about these people. Their mobile office is extremely clean, cleaner than my old vet clinics office and complete for any scenario that I can think of. It has a surgical room and x-​ray machine.
My last visit with Dr Mike and Jim wasn’t as pleasant, not because of them but because of the circumstances. My cat’s age got the better of her, she was 18. He came gave her a brief exam and offered some treatment that would have prolonged her life and comfort for awhile longer. However I thought it best to go ahead and let her move on. They let me stay with her until the very end, something my other clinic would never offer. I could have left her but it was nice to be with her as she went.
If you are looking for a vet Dr Mike is your guy. Not only is it convenient for you it is more comfortable for your pet and he is an all around good guy. Down to earth easy to talk to and cares about your pet.

For months I watched my cat’s health decline, and trips to the vet were horrible for her. Having to drive to the vet’s office and sit in a cold room waiting for a vet to come in a poke at her made her miserable and stressed. The pills her vet kept prescribing were getting to be too much, and her quality of life wasn’t what if should have been. After a tough week of watching her struggle, and being faced with the horrible decision of trying to keep treating her health issues after 15 years, or let her go peacefully, I saw the Mike’s Mobile Veterinary driving by.
It was time for her to go peacefully, and I couldn’t bare to drag her to a cold veterinary office one last time. After emailing the office for more information on their services, the office manager, Ellie, was incredibly helpful, understanding, and prompt. Her patience on the phone as I wept while trying to give her my address so that Dr. Cohen could come to the house was incredibly appreciated.
After spending the day saying goodbye to our fluffy best friend, Dr. Cohen and his assistant, Jim, came to the house to help her pass. They were incredibly sweet, and caring — it made me wish I’d known about them sooner so that I could have spared her the numerous office visits for her regular vet care. They allowed us to keep her comfortable in her own environment, and even helped with post-​life care for her.
I’m incredibly grateful for Dr. Cohen and his practice — to know that she was comfortable in the end, and surrounded by those that loved her in her own home with professionals who truly care about their patients was invaluable.
So thank you, to Dr. Cohen and his staff, for giving us peace of mind, and being so supportive during such a difficult time for us. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for vet care in the future.

I used Mike’s mobile vet when my sweet dog was very ill. He and his staff were caring and compassionate. Dr. Mike tried to save my girl and did give us a couple more weeks with her. When it became time to say goodbye they came to our home to help her pass away in the comfort of her own home. I will always trust him for my furry babies.

I took my beloved kitty to a vet up the street from me, and was told that she was in the beginning stages of kidney failure. He wanted to start her on a diet that was heavier in liquids for her kidneys. He told me that if she had this food, she had a chance at slowing down the kidney failure. She had dropped so much weight and after that visit, she continued to go down hill. She became very lethargic and didn’t want any interaction with us at all. This is not a common thing for her, and I began to worry that maybe it was her time.
I was so devastated at the thought of losing my cat that I wanted a second opinion. I wasn’t really fond of the vet I took her to before, and she had been misdiagnosed by a prior vet before this. I have watched her health decline over the last year, and was feeing guilty that maybe she was suffering and I was being cruel. I asked for the advice from my friends, and wanted to see who their vet of choice was.
Several suggestions were the same. Mike’s Mobile Veterinary service. My friends all had good things to say, and at least 3 of them had trusted Mike with their babies. I called his office with a very heavy heart thinking I was losing my girl. I got their voicemail, but they were so quick to call me back. I explained my situation to his super sweet receptionist, and she got me an appointment right away.
Mike is different is so many ways. First of all, he comes to your pet! He drove to my home to come and check on her. He came in and went right to my kitty. He could tell she was pretty lethargic, so he had me carry her out to his truck. His assistant was waiting for us, and when I walked in I was amazed. It is a small clinic on wheels. The exam table, and many of the other things you’d expect in the traditional office are here.
Mike got to work checking out my kitty. He poked and prodded and shone a light in her eyes while I sat there with my heart pounding. He did a blood test because I told him what the previous vet had said. After some initial inspections, he looked in her mouth, and checked her teeth. When he started to look at her teeth he said that she needed a cleaning, and low and behold, one of her teeth moved. She jumped about a mile high. He grinned from ear to ear and said, «Honestly I don’t think it’s kidney failure, but I’m going to do the test to make sure. I think she simply has a couple bad teeth, and they are killing her appetite.»
I was shocked. My mouth probably hung open down to the floor. He was very quick and thorough. He told me that he would call me in the next couple days with the results, but he wanted to remove those bad teeth too. He gave me an antibiotic because he suspected she had an infection.
I started her on that medicine and I tell you what, in a matter of days she was starting to act like herself again. I was excited, but trying not to be too much so as I still waited for the results. He called me back, and he was indeed correct. There was no sign of kidney failure. Turns out the bad teeth were the culprit.
He performed the surgery a couple days later after the infection was gone, and after her drunken first day, she improved day by day. A couple months later, and it’s like nothing was ever wrong with her. I realize this review is a long one, but it’s because I know how frustrating it can be to take your beloved pet to vet after vet getting incorrect diagnoses. I really fear that had I taken her back to that last vet, my cat may not be sitting here with me today.
I would recommend Mike and his staff to anyone for their pets. He comes to your home, and his prices were even less than the last two vets I took my pets to. Even if you don’t have pets, but know someone who does… do them a favor and pass along this information. Seriously. NOW!
