Really disappointed in their lack of customer service… We purchased a gas fireplace and have had it one year… It comes with a 2 year warranty so you would think that they would be all over any problems that might arise… Well that’s not the case. I called and explained the problem and was told they would review the manufacturer guide and call me back…6 days later no call… So I called again(during business hours) and got their voice mail and left a message asking for call back and 6 hours later still no call… I would not ever considered using them again and will let my neighbors and Realtor friends and family know what poor customer service/care they have…

I had my chimney cleaned yesterday and they did a wonderful job. Darrin explained everything to me and did a thorough job. I haven’t had my chimney cleaned in over 10 years since I bought my home and learned some new tips from him that I didn’t know before. Definitely recommend them if you need any assistance with your chimney.

My husband and I retained this company by recommendation from our RE agent to perform a chimney inspection for a house we were purchasing. We expected an honest assessment in order to provide us with needed repairs but you will NOT get this from this company. The inspector came out and was friendly. He cleaned the chimney and did a gas leak test. His inspection was basic and the total amount of time he spent was maybe 30 minutes. He wouldn’t test the gas burner to see if it was operable, just said he cleaned the pipes holes. Once the inspection was complete he informed us that the firewall, the clay wall inside the chimney, was badly burned through. He DIDNOT recommend replacement but only to monitor the firewall. The owner of the company stated it was not fair to recommend costly repairs to a seller. I was taken back by this as I was the one who was paying for this inspection and they were obligated to us to recommend whatever repairs were needed. They chose not to correct their report and wrote that the firewall was deteriorated and did not need replacement or repairs. I did some research on my own after the appointment and checked with the National Chimney Institute along with other professional chimney inspector. It is strongly recommended that a compromised and burnt firewall must NOT be used and needs replacement immediately. Using the fireplace in this condition is a extreme fire hazard and can heat the metal box behind the fireplace and catch the wood structure on fire! I was shocked that this company unethically did not recommend repairs and could have left us in an extreme fire hazard if I had not checked it out for myself. There is another chimney company in Dixon that I recommend over this one.

Today I met Dave from Village Sweep in Fairfield. He came to fix a problem due to my own neglect of maintenance of my 10 year old fireplace insert. He arrived punctually within the window given during my service request call, several days earlier. He was extremely professional, helpful, gracious, thorough, and explained everything I asked about plus his own unpretentious suggestions. He did a fabulous job and left 2 hrs later. I have essentially a new insert for exactly the price I was quoted. Wow! What a breath of fresh air, integrity! My wife and i are both elated. Thanks Dave!
