The check in was easy and convenient. The playground was a great way to run off the pent up energy from the long drive. Rooms were large and plenty of space in the two bedroom unit was perfect for our group. In unit fireplace was a perfect touch to a winter stay. Indoor pool was great for the kids! Hot tub was awesome for the parents! Every time we called for something to be fixed or we needed more fire wood they were very prompt. We ate at Catfish Cabin which was delicious!

We live in the Dallas, Texas area as well as have homes in Mexico so we travel a bunch. We recently traveled to Tennessee for a few days of golf and to chill. We think Tennessee is absolutely beautiful no matter where you go as a rule. The Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Glade is part of a time share organization. We booked a week here because we own a several time share weeks at a couple of resorts elsewhere which allows us to trade our weeks at other resorts. BUT, we have been virtually harassed by this crew to go hear them make another pitch to us. Because we do not want to go hear another time share pitch, we have been treated poorly. The resort itself is ok, no maid service if you are a RCI member they let us know now, I say hmmmm to this. The resort is very out of the way if that is what you are wanting. There are 5 golf courses around and a couple of them are really outstanding. Not much else to do but we came to golf and rest so we are OKAY. We are about to build a home in another part of Tennessee so this was part of our travel plans but I do not think we would stay here again. The closest town is a few miles away so to go to a better restaurant, you will drive a bit. Be prepared, once you say no to them, they treat you like second class folks and are not responsive. But if you know this upfront, then you know how to plan.

We’re spending a large amount of our retirement time at Wyndham Resorts across the U.S. The are beautiful, well located in very beautiful areas and offer daily activities that are a lot of fun. We are Wyndham owners and feel it was money well-spent! We are spending most of this week at Fairfield Glade(Crossville, TN)) and tonight we’re at Mirror Street Blast listening to a really good blue-grass band… This is our first time at Fairfield Glade and are truly impressed with the gorgeous, relaxing setting of this resort!

Great place if you’re a Wyndham Owner. We are spending our retirement traveling so this is so much fun for us. We are ready to sell our homes and stay in Wyndham Resorts all the time. Best stress release I have found. My wife and I just take off to Wyndham’s when life becomes a pain in the — I worked my whole life for this and I have had all the stress I want.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Resort grounds are clean and units have been recently updated and were spotless. Did not utilize amenities(pool, tennis, etc). Not much within walking distance. Don’t expect any water sports at Dartmoor Marina. It’s a no wake lake, so unless you fish, or just want to anchor the boat and relax. I would pass. Local dining is a gamble, not many places with very good reviews. We stuck with the restaurants at the golf courses and they were okay. More choices and chain restaurants are a few minutes down I-40. Smokey mountains nearby and worth the trip. Seems everything nearby was closed by 9pm so if your looking for nightlife you may have to drive elsewhere. Drove thru Downtown Gatlinburg on the way back from Smokeys and seems like a fun place.

We are owners of Wyndham. We planned a stay here at the resort based on the information provided on the Wyndham site. I have to say it was not our worst experience, but no where near our best. Here is the description from the website: «Riding stables have trails and riding programs for all levels, plus ponies for little ones. Our tennis courts include indoor and outdoor versions for year-round play, with a tennis pro and full-service pro shop. One of our outdoor pools is child-friendly while the other is designed for adults. You can rent all sorts of sporting equipment — from bicycles to fishing poles, canoes and pontoon boats. Our „no wake“ lakes provide hours of fun, and the Community Center is home to lots of indoor activities, including video arcade, billiards, library, crafts and a Jr. Olympic size pool. Fitness-minded guests often praise the complimentary Wellness Center» What we got instead: Complimentary seems to mean: discounted. At most Wyndhams we have been to you do not have t pay a fee to play ping pong($ 3 per person) or use the tennis court($ 8 – 15 per person), or the pool, or the basket ball courts. Good luck finding the pools. Directions given by the front desk were vague and completely useless. Our unit was very nice and well done. Large property and full of green and trees. Lakes were beautiful. This resort is for older people or golfers. Not a family with children. Biggest problem: our phone/wifi did not work. You need to have phone service to «register» for activities. Went to the receptionist and the response was: «what, didn’t you know about the problem with the phones and internet?» from the receptionist. We asked again later in the day after checking our unit to see if it was working. This time i was standing in line waiting for my turn only to overhear the 2 customers in front of me being told all the units had phone service and wifi until Saturday when they were working on the system. Asked about it during my turn only to hear that my unit and some others were down. Maintenance staff were polite and as helpful as possible. they explained it was a problem with the phone company and the resort moving the equipment to a new location. They said it would more than likely not be up in our unit for a week. We packed up our gear and left the resort that night…2 days before the end of our scheduled stay. Won’t be back.

Great place. Remote enough to give a nice mountain retreat feel with the conveniences of a nearby grocery and major chain restaurants. Check-in was easy with no pressure tactics employed by some other timeshare locations. The rooms are tri-level with the kitchen, living room on the upstairs level, a guest room and bathroom on the entry level, and a beautiful master bedroom on the lower level replete with a HUGE jacuzzi tub/shower. Our unit overlooked one of the golf courses in the back and had a playground just outside the front door. The rooms are appx 30 years old but are nicely updated and appointed with high quality appliances. The maps they have are a bit confusing with too much information that’s been placed on them. The fireplace is manual although they do provide starter logs, newspaper and oak logs for you. All in all this is a great place to enjoy the natural beauty of East Tennessee.
