I typically enjoy noodles and company from other locations– but was in a rush and decided to get take out from the fair lakes one. Big mistake. It tasted as if some took all the scraps from other meals and put it in my pan noodles. There was probably 5 teaspoons of some nasty salty tasting sauce on it. Pot stickers were average this the reason for one star– because it does not take much to make pot stickers. Will not eat there again with so many other choices than garbage tasting noodles. This food was so bad my dog would not even eat it

Came here today, it was awsome! Steak Stroganoff was yummy. Mushrooms were delicious. Sauce could have been more but it tasted just like my grandpa used to make.

Eh. I ordered the Pad Thai with sautéed shrimp as was suggested on the menu. It was bland, lacked sauce, and the shrimp didn’t taste like they were sautéed in anything. The noodles were under cooked. I wouldn’t order it again. My wife ordered the pesto pasta. It looked good and had good flavor but could have had more sauce. My brother in law got the macaroni and cheese and it looked amazing. He said it was really good. I might give this place another try at some point.

My 8 year old daughter begs me to take her to Noodles in Fair Lakes for the buttered noodles with parm cheese. Yes, the place is run by very inexperienced staff and what I do not like is they multi-taskers — the food server, order taker and cleaner. Management needs to hire dedicated bus staff which is definitely a full time job. We were at a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon and there was honestly 1 table that did not have food and dirty dishes on it from the previous customers. The staff was clearing the tables, but it was basically removing the dishes and not really cleaning the table — tables always seem to be dirty and sticky. In fact, the area at the soda area was so caked on with dried soda that my daughter asked that I not place her cup on it. The carpet surrounding our table was littered with bits of pasta and food scraps and that is how it is no matter where we sit all the time(we frequent this location about 1 time a week). It makes me wonder how clean it is in the kitchen/food prep areas = a scary thought really. I’d like to see more professional management there, to me it seems like it’s run by very inexperienced personnel. On 2 occasions I ordered the Med Salad with Chicken and was given the salad without the chicken. That happened twice in 2 weeks. The cleaning thing is making me question eating there any more. It’s a great concept and there are a few tasty dishes, but it’s definitely undermanaged.

This place has great food but this specific location’s staff doesn’t know what there doing. I ordered 2 different kinds of dishes and when my order was ready there were 2 of the same dish. I also specified I have a food allergy and I didn’t want one of the ingredients in my order but of course received my allergenic ingredient.

Noodles and company is my favorite! It took me many visits to fall in love with it because finally I realized how to enjoy it! Now I customize my own bowl and I discovered many ingredients that can be enjoyed there! I like that pay attention to the details, never get bored from my details too and never made mistakes! My favorite bowl is the Penne Rosa(sometimes substitute spaghetti) extra noodles, extra Rosa sauce, parmesan cheese, parmesan chicken, shrimp and add cilantro! It’s amazing! Thanks noodles & company :)

Food: I appreciate the quality ingredients and array of healthy options in appropriate portions. Price: comparable to other pseudo fast food places $ 8-$ 10/person Atmosphere: a bit chilly, but casual and relaxing. No rush to get in and out. Service: always friendly Takeaway: good, affordable, healthy option with vegetarian and paleo friendly choices.

Bottom Line: Quick serve pasta place that rarely disappoints. I know this is just a chain fastish-food eatery but I still really like Noodles & Company. Recently I visited the Fairfax location and found it to be equally as satisfying as the other five or so locations I’ve visited. The décor here is modern and nice and I like the big community table with stools. Here’s how it works — You order at the counter and then they bring your fresh cooked pasta/noodle dish to you. It’s very efficient. if you are vegetarian than you can enjoy your pasta/noodle dish as is. If you are a meat eater, then you can beat your chest and order it with various meats such as chicken, parmesan crusted chicken, pork, etc. The pesto cavatappi with parmesan crusted chicken is my favorite but I also love the richness of the Wisconsin mac and cheese. As a Diet Coke addict, I love their Coca-Cola«Freestyle» soda fountain which allows you to choose up to 100 different sodas. I also like their selection of iced teas. The only odd experience I had here was when a trainee dropped off my food and his boss didn’t like the way he did it so the boss grabbed my food off my table and said, «Sorry, he’s new» and then proceeded to redeliver my meal. Awkward. I felt bad for the trainee and really thought the boss needed some coaching in the leadership department. Other than that uncomfortable experience, my time here was fine.

Worst noodles and company I’ve come across. I came on(7÷19÷15) at 8:30, 30 minutes before closing. I understand they were closing but the food was half-(butt). I got the penne rosa which is suppose to be a creamy sauce but when I got home it was dry. When I say dry I mean they put maybe an teaspoon of sauce in there and mixed it with the pasta. If I wanted dry pasta, I would have asked for pasta, no sauce. The chicken was burnt and extra crispy. They couldn’t have made it any worst. Also they asked for parmesan or feta cheese, I said parm. Guess what comes all over the pasta? Feta. I mean no one was in the restaurant, you couldn’t have made a decent pasta bowl? This is a sad excuse for a restaurant. How are they even open? I know noodles and company is not extravagant for pasta making, but I just wanted a decent, pasta with sauce on it. Is that a lot to ask from a noodle place?

Me and my boyfriend got some noodles for carry-out with special requests of no cheese and no spicy and neither were followed. Very disappointed in the experience with this company. Will not return.

I have been to several Noodles & Company restaurants around the NOVA area. There is one about 10 mins from my house in Sterling, VA that I used to visit when I was craving but after finding this location in Fairfax, VA I will most definitely not be returning to the one in Sterling. Food was always delivered cold, limp salads without dressing, etc. This location provides excellent food, at piping hot temperatures when they arrive at your table, crisp veggies, and the best part — attentive and friendly employees.

The food was good, the wife and kids were happy. What really made this location shine was the management. I can’t remember his name, but it was 2pm on 3⁄14. He came over to check on the spice level of my daughters spaghetti and meatballs. He said there was a mixup and she got the spicy version, but she didn’t care and was happy. He apologized and brought us free desert anyways. Super nice guy, attentive that a mistake happened and made sure it was rectified. I tried the mac and cheese for a first time, it was pretty good. I’ll go back on service alone.

I have been to this location a couple of times now. My wife really enjoys the food at Noodles & Company, but to be honest… I am not a huge fan. Is the food actually bad? Is the service bad? No. The service at this location was fantastic actually. The food just doesn’t move me. I love food, I am passionate about food and this food doesn’t love me, nor I love it. The Pad Thai was bland to me. The pasta with pesto and Parmesan crusted chicken breast is the best thing I have had at any of the Noodles location and it was at this one. I like the chicken but it is a little too salty for my taste(I use very little salt at home). Anyway, the selection of beer is pretty good and they have a pretty good selection of food to choose from. I will continue to try the different dishes and maybe, just maybe I will find that magical dish that sings to me.

Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Staff members came over to our table several times during my friend and I’s meal to make sure everything was still fine. Always been a huge fan of noodles and company, this location might be my new favorite!

#bestdish at Noodles for me is #ThaiHotPot sub/steak for pork. & #WisconsinCheesestake — Great service and clean environment at this location — A bit cold inside on a cold day– why would you have AC working — otherwise all is good

I can finally say that I’ve eaten at a Noodles & Company. I splurged on the Alfredo and wished I had selected another dish. The dish wasn’t bad, but it gets so much better at almost any Italian joint. From what I can tell, this chain takes popular noodle dishes from various cuisines and then blahs them down and out for our perceived-to-be dull American palates. In my opinion, if you want a hot pot, go find one of the seven or so Korean restaurants nearby. If you want Alfredo, go directly to Dolce Vita, and I mean directly, and they’ll do it up right for you. If you want mac-n-cheese, go to your mom’s house. Other than that, this place will suffice in a pinch, but remember that you’ll need to doctor it up a bit. Think hot sauce, soy sauce, salt, pepper, anything to sex it up enough to be edible. Now, about the place? Pretty fantastic. Location is great, wifi is great, everything was clean and there is plenty of seating. Staff also appear to be pretty on top of their game.

Staff here is very friendly, attentive to detail, and polite. I came here for lunch during the week and wanted to sit down to a nice quick meal while I work on my laptop. The woman who took my order helped me pick out the perfect pasta, making sure the spice level was ok. And very informative on how to access the wifi, which at first I thought pointless but defiantly appreciated the explanation when it came down to it.

So I have a rule that I don’t do reviews of major chains unless I’m blown away(either good or bad) about the service. I went here last night with my girlfriend on the way to DC. It’s pretty much the standard noodles n company. The food is decent, nothing extremely spectacular but it’s still decent pasta. We both ordered the mac n cheese with the recommended oven roasted meatballs. The meatballs seemed a little bit sketchy but other than that it was good. What blew me away was the service. I asked one of the employees if they had ketchup, as I wanted to add a little bit to my mac n cheese to cut the fat of the dish with some acidity(it’s delicious I swear). He replied that they didn’t and apologized, however he said that the jasons deli across the street probably had some, and that I could go there if I really wanted some. I thanked him for the information but passed on the trip across the street and began to eat. A few seconds later I noticed him running back across the parking lot. As he entered the restaurant he approached the table, and held out a hand full of ketchup packets. I think that people like this are the perfect example of customer service that has a huge impact on a place. Taking the time to do that definitely left me with a great impression of this N&C. Keep up the great work!

I never tried noodles and company before so I decided to try it for my first time, walked in and place was clean, id have to say good service, only reason for 2 stars. other then that when I got home and got ready to eat, I noticed how small my added 1.00 a salad was, literally like 2 peices of lettuce and the rest bombarded with tomatoes and cucumbers, yes it’s a dollar but it makes it sound like your getting a good deal when your really not. I got penne rosa, It was decent, edible. I could of made the same thing at home. and they use to give you bread with your meal, they got cheap and now charge you. really not worth the money here, make your own pasta it would taste better. that being said, I hope they go out of business for being such a sucky place.
