Michael K. Bassiri, DDS

Dr. Bassiri is a wonderful dentist. He truly cares about his patients and their comfort. I went to him with a broken tooth and he fixed it with a crown and very little discomfort. I am so happy that I found him after trying other dentists in the area. Since mending that broken tooth, I have had a (very ugly) crown replaced with a new one that actually looks like it is my original tooth, both of my boys have gotten braces and are already looking great! I love having one person taking care of all our dental needs.
Dr. Bassiri also has two different offices, one in Fairfax and one in Gainesville which is the office I am more familiar with. It is very clean and nicely decorated and it has a fantastic massaging examination chair.
I would also like to mention that he is wonderful when it comes to working with your insurance. It was very difficult to find a good, well recommended dentist when we moved into this area that was within our care network and I found that for my whole family with Dr. Bassiri.

Let me preface my review with a few things.
1. I am terrified of dentists.
2. I’ve been to many dentists over the years, and most of them were horrible.
3. I refer to all of my previous dentists as Dr. Evil.
Dr. Bassiri is the first dentist I have ever met who is not evil. He is very friendly, and makes difficult procedures painless. He is also super smart and does a great job of distracting you before novacaining your face up — which is very much appreciated by scaredy cats like me.
What I liked most about Dr. B was that he does a thorough job of explaining everything — what he is going to do, options, the process, etc. He did a fantastic job on my root canal crown — it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.
Extra stars for being very punctual!
If you are in need of a good dentist, give this guy a shot.
