Very hard sell. And their prices for Persian rugs are WAY out of line. I can’t speak for the other goods, however.

Rick is the buyer for this gallery and his taste is STELLAR! He has a varied and interesting sense of style and there are so many items to choose from. Not to mention, he is so passionate about the furniture, knows all of the furniture lines and answers questions easily. He really knows his stuff! And there are so many options to choose from. He is great about showing you items that are complementary to one another, even if they are not the same style. I showed up just before the store closed and he not only stayed, but spent an hour showing me around the store and all the possibilities!
I bought an absolutely gorgeous dresser (from Hooker furniture) and I am so happy with it! I got a fair price and I absolutely love it! Delivery was quick and professional. I will be shopping here again and sharing this store with my friends and family!

Terrible service! I was looking for sofas and chairs. I been there for 15 minutes and no one showed up! I kept calling on the sales person and just left the store without any help!!!

I was extremely unhappy customer at Mclean Furniture Gallery.
It was Rick and Amina the owner’s daughter who were helping me.
We finalized the contract after spending two weeks selecting furniture. On the day of delivery, I received a phone call from Tina the owner to tell me that I am not a corporation or Embassy who could afford the furniture. She demanded I bring my Tax return or letter from my employer before she releases the furniture for delivery.
I went to the store to meet Tina the owner to show her the contract and document she requested. She attacked me in the store after a heated argument about my demand for honoring the contract signed by her employee that she wanted to dismiss. She called me a thief and argumentative. She literally tried to take my copy of the contract from me. She instructed her employee Rick to assist her in grabbing my contract and there was a struggle between the three of us. Both Tina and Rick put their hands on me. I managed to escape the situation by weaseling my way out. After getting attacked by her, I had to call the police.
This was the worst experience I ever had in my life. It was scary situation. I was the only customer in the store as she was ordering her employees to snatch the contract from me.
She was saying that she sells furniture to the White House and Ambassadors and she does not deal with such customers.
She is obviously riding on a high horse looking down to her customers.
Very unprofessional. No doubt that they have beautiful furniture but without good customer service I would give them a rating of zero… not to mention I was harassed in her store.
I will take legal action and complain to the Better Business Bureau hopefully to get result for her to start treating their customers equally.

if zero stars was possible, i would give mclean furniture gallery the goose egg. the owner, themina, is rude and uppity. she treats her staff like the ground she walks on IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS. i did not purchase anything because, well, why would i want to support such a poorly run business. if you ask me, the company needs a complete overhaul.

Their internal management is chaos, my furniture has not been delivered even after six months .You will never know the furniture status, because they always rotate people. You will never know if your furniture is going to be delivered, since they never care about the customers. They are totally liars!!!

This furniture store is said to have a history of 30 years, but it disappointed me in its poor management. They seemed to be very nice at the beginning when they want us to buy furnitures. But over time, they showed their unprofessional attitude when we ask for the updating status of our furniture. If we don’t contact them, they will not contact us for updates. They work on weekends, but they said they wouldn’t check the delivery status for us on weekends when they obviously were busying with other potential customers. The owner is pushy at buying furnitures. They changed the remaining balance without telling us the reasons (they made the mistakes in the calculations). And there is a delay way way exceeding 3 months in most of our furnitures, but they did nothing about that and said to charge us additional money if we ask for delivering the pieces that already arrived. They also rotate the employees very often, so most employees know nothing about their customers. And the delivery persons damaged our walls. I don’t see any satisfaction if the store does not change the way they treat their customers and the poor management they have. And I am also curious about why Unilocal keep hiding negative reviews of this store? Is this about advertisement?

What we mad is not about money, they just broke their words so suddenly. They never tell you in advance if they fail to deliver the furnitures on the agreed date. And I also need to point out that the business owner is really tough, but her daughter is much better than her~ The owner is so arbitrary and stereotype customers. Customers want good quality, good service! This store is so far away from this!

Went in there on Saturday, 2÷22÷14 with my wife and 2 kids to buy a lot of furniture. I was looking for the following brands:
Drexel Heritage, Vanguard, Hickory White, Hickory Chair, Sherrill, Taylor King, Pearson, Lexington.
A young man approached and told us to advise if we need assistance.
10 minutes later, an older woman approached me and said «I always tell young people with families that they probably would do better at our outlet… this is fine furniture… you probably belong over there. I will ask one of our associates to give you a ride… these are premium brands… you belong over there.»
I started explaining that I was there specifically for the better brands. She smiled condescendingly and walked off. The young man who initially greeted us I think sensed that we had essentially been asked to leave. He asked what we were looking for. I told him, he showed me some catalog of mediocre stuff that you can get at Sears.

FYI…
1) I spent just under 10k at Green Front Furniture in Manassas, which is much better than your store (as I’m sure you’re aware).
2) When married couples with kids move to a new place, they don’t have babysitters, so the couple typically shops together (with kids) before they make large purchases for their new house.
3) Your name says McLean but you are a furniture store in Fairfax in a little strip mall off of the freeway next to a body shop. Hope that helps you gain some perspective.

My husband and I walked into the high-​end location because we were looking for a queen sized bed frame in the 3−6K range. We are in our late 20’s and were wearing jeans and T-​shirts and the sales person immediately walked up to us and told us that she would show us to their other location which has beds closer to $ 800. She never asked us what price we were looking at but rather hurried us out the door as if we shouldn’t have even stepped foot in their «high class» store. Needless to say, we did NOT go to their other store and I will never be back. Even if they had a bed I would want, I do not want to give my business to someone who is going to stereotype me like that.

This place is fantastic! No pressure sales staff, extremely knowledgeable designers, and unbelievable (good!!) prices. We had been buying furniture for our house from the usual chain stores, but we still needed some accent pieces and a few hard-​to-​find sized pieces of furniture (curved sofa, large formal round dining table), so I figured this was the best place to go. I only wish we had come here years ago, from the start, since the designer, Rick, told me he could get all of the couches/​chairs found in the chain/​mall stores for less. Better late than never… I only had an hour to spend for my first visit, but because Rick was so knowledgeable, I felt like I had spent 3 hours there and left with many ideas for our house. I can’t wait to go back!

We have been shopping for some furniture for the past few weeks and have been to a whole range of Furniture stores in the DMV area. McLean Furniture Gallery stands out amongst them all! The staff is extremely courteous and knowledgeable of the stuff they sell.
They have a great selection of furniture on display and they do carry a whole bunch of brands in the mid to upscale range. Staff is also very laid back and we did not feel rushed or pushed around at all!
Their prices are the best we have seen and sure saved us a trip to High Point NC!
Definitely will go back again :)
