Fuddruckers

Ok I have loved fuddruckers since my first visit, it’s burgers taste like heaven and the chicken tenders are even better and a lot of people are criticizing the décor, but I love the décor.
Fuddruckers is so amazing and they recently closed my favorite location… «Temporarily» when it first closed they said it would reopen in July now it’s almost July so I checked and they aren’t open until December. If they close fuddruckers it would be tragedy
Fuddruckers is my go to restaurant with the best burgers around I really want it to reopen it would mean a lot to me and I hope that when people close fuddruckers they are crushing many people’s hopes for a good relaxing place to eat.
So please believe me when I say there food is amazing and that they should definitely reopen the best of the fuddruckers asap

I came by to set up a birthday party for my grandma, but unfortunately the place is closed. We were really looking forward to the arcade games and trading in our tickets for dem sweet gooey cookies at the end of finishing our meal. Oh well. I hope grandma makes it until the joint reopens.

When looking for a decent burger in the area I stop here! Not greasy like 5 guys and not too «healthy» as Social Burger or Elevation. I’d say the burgers here are a good in between. Inside it sort of looks like a circus (literally). The restaurant is wide and open and rounded if that makes sense. The ambiance is really fun and it’s always a treat dining in. It’s set up as a pay first type deal so you don’t have to worry about wait staff. They have an open kitchen and when your order is ready you run up and grab it. The condiments bar is awesome and you can add as many or as little toppings as your little heart desires! The shakes are also pretty good and freshly made.

After all these years, I have only good memories of this place. Glad they’re not closing, just renovating. I will gladly take my wife and two sons back after they reopen on July 31.

I’ve been eating here for 25+ years with a 10 year hiatus in the middle. This place rocks. You can’t beat the prices. I’m eating @ elevation burger as I write the review because Fuddruckers is being remodeled and temporarily closed. This burger was tiny compared to Fuddruckers. I like 5 guys burgers too, but @ Fuddruckers you get way more hamburger meat and it’s less expensive. Of course like anywhere else, on occasion they cook my burger too long. (I like Medium Rare) I tell the manager and they make me a new one. Simple. All the toppings I want. Best hamburger place around.

First let me say how much I LOVE Fuddruckers burgers! As a family, this is one of our favorite go-​to places. It give t 3 stars for that.
The building itself is awful. The entryway constantly floods when it rains. The carpet has got to have been there since the 80’s. It’s awful. It smells old and unclean and musty. The whole place needs an overhaul. It’s dark in there. Kind of creepy. I love their food but every time I’m there it smells like someone’s grandmothers house mixed with cleaning solution. Yuck.
The people are great. The service is great. The food is great. But man, hasn’t the owner got any pride in his establishment? It’s bittersweet gay they are now closed until midsummer. Hopefully for renovations. It’s about time.

The food here is really good, and the portions are very nice. The wedge fries are very delicious and really crispy. I always get the elk burger with no cheese because the burger is very lean. What I like most about this place is the veggie and sauce bar where I can pack on the veggies. This is starting to become one of my go to spots to get a diet friendly burger to eat. Oh they have two nice drink machines with a ridiculous amount of drink combinations.

My best childhood memories are here, my home away from home. They got all kinds of shiz, Coke machine, caring Hispanic women, and even fries that’ll literally cross yo eyes. If you know what’s good for you, try the CHILI CHESE POTATO WEDGE FRIES

This used to be our favorite burger place. The restaurant needs a facelift and the cashiers could use some smiles, but we always got juicy burgers and buttery toasted buns.
The last time we were there, we ordered the burgers, all medium. They all came out to be well done. And the buns were not buttery or toasted. My son who likes his burgers without any toppings found the well done burger to be too dry to eat. The rest of us added topping and the cheese sauce, and managed to eat the dry burgers. My son went to the kitchen to explain that the burger was over cooked and asked for a new one. The guy in the kitchen told him that we ordered our burgers well done, and they made the burgers as requested. I took my receipt to show him that we ordered the burgers to be cooked to medium. He then said my son told him the wrong order. The only thing he asked my son was the size of the burger he ordered. Nothing else.
It was very disappointing that the staff would make excuses for burgers that were not made correctly. My son was very polite and simply asking for the burger to be made again.
The second burger he received was still overcooked. My son did not finish his burger, first time ever at Fuddruckers.
I wouldn’t have downgraded my rating for having over cooked burgers this one time. The restaurant needs to work on their customer service. It’s bad enough that the burgers were not cooked correctly. Making excuses and accusing customers is not the way to run any business.

One of my favorite burger joints. Never had a problem at this Fuddruckers in fairfax. The salad bar is awesome and always has fresh vegetables. The reason why I did not give this location five stars is that the ambience is a bit depressing. But besides that, the food is good and the price is reasonable! Love the burgers!

…No. Haven’t been offended by a restaurant in a long while.
This Fuddruckers is in trouble. It does not stand a chance, located in a mile radius from restaurants that can beat its price, menu, service, sanitation, ingredients… you name it.
Boyfriend and I ordered two Infernos and a side Garden salad. The meat was very bland and the bread seemed to weigh way more than the meat (¹⁄₃ lbs). As for the side Garden Salad, don’t bother getting it – you can make your own Garden Salad for free in the condiments section! «What about the garlic bread?», you ask. Trust me, I’m doing you a favor, don’t get their garlic bread.
Overall, my boyfriend and I were horrified and enraged after feeling like we’ve been overcharged for a meal neither of us wanted to eat, from the first glance.
You really want a burger? Fries? Salad? Try else where.

Love this place. Fresh vegetables, clean and spacious, great hamburgers, great price, and friendly staff! If you love hamburgers, you have to eat here!!!

Okay so, this place is kinda eerie. And I mean almost in like a spooky abandoned manor at the top of a hill kinda way.
So I love Fudd’s, have since I was a kid. Lemme start by saying the food here isn’t bad by any means. It’s decent for a Fudd’s but not as good as the one that used to be open in Woodbridge. We’ve had a few incidents where we ordered carry out and didn’t get what we ordered, had to call the store, drive back, etc. And during these instances the manager or whoever was in charge was totally cool.
The food’s still okay, I like the burgers and the fries aren’t bad. But man, this place looks old and run down. Others have mentioned the bathrooms that could use a renovation and how the place looks out of date on the inside. But it’s not just that.
This place is actually kinda weird. I’ve been here during the day and there’ll be almost no one there. I’ve been here later at night when it’s dark out and… still there’ll be nobody inside. But when you walk in, you see the arcade machines running. They’re brightly lit, their screens are turned on. There’s a prize machine full of assorted goodies. But no one is ever playing them. And the games don’t look like they’ve been played in years. It’s almost like walking into a museum that was trying to recreate the experience of dining at a Fuddruckers in the late 90s/​early 2000s.
There’s TONS of tables and chairs and yet, hardly anyone sitting down eating. The TV’s are on but nobody’s watching. It’s just a big empty room. When you go to refill your cup at the soda fountain you’ll notice there’s never any line, you never run into anybody, and it’s the same at the toppings bar. It almost feels like the whole place is glowing and alive just to serve you and whoever you bring with you.
Sometimes I wonder if the people in the kitchen are just a hallucination, part of the experience. Like that scene in The Shining where Jack Nicholson is in the ballroom and the bartender, I think his name was Lloyd, is offering him drinks and having a conversation with him. Maybe I’m losing my mind. Who knows.
Come here if you feel like eating a giant cheeseburger and being haunted by ghosts.

I don’t even know where to start. My son had an event with his little league team here. As soon as we walked in the door, this place smelled like straight toilet! The floor was wet (wasn’t raining outside) and an industrial fan was blowing on our feet as soon as we walked in. The décor looked like it hadn’t been dusted or cleaned since the restaurant was built, prob since the 80s. I could go on and on, but I’m sure you can already imagine.
Needless to say, I couldn’t eat a thing in there. My family was braver than I and ordered burgers and fries. It was expensive for the dump we were eating in. The said the food was so-​so. A lot of the boys from the team were drinking milk shakes. My son said they were complaining of stomach aches after. When I looked over to the shake stand. I saw a woman pouring what appeared to be, rotten milk into the milk shake machine. I saw that on the counter when we were ordering and just assumed it was going to get thrown out. But as we were leaving a women was actually pouring it into the machine!!!
This place was disgusting but the staff was very helpful and seemed really hard working. The customers and the staff deserve a better environment than this.

Eh… I remember when Fuddruckers was all the rage… okay like 20 years ago. ;) This place is WAY TOTALLY out dated and could use a good cleaning. Don’t look at the vents in this restaurant and it will totally gross you out. They maybe need to fire the cleaning crew they have now and hire a new one. The restrooms could use a good update and a good scrub. Stained toilet seats, cracked tiles… maybe just bulldoze the bathroom. There was tape on a wall from where a picture frame once was… could use a good paint throughout the restaurant. The carpet in the dining room looks as if it was from about the 1980s.
The food was okay, but it certainly won’t be able to compete with the all of new gourmet burger joints that are AMAZING and super clean.
Fuddruckers please take some time to update your restaurant or else I am willing to take bets you won’t be around much longer.

My husband loves Fuddruckers. We have been in many locations across several states. This location has given us, bar none, THE WORST Fudd’s experience ever. The bun? Soggy & flat. Don’t bother indicating how you want your meat cooked, they only do «shoe leather». My husband likes Well, nope: shoe leather (which is not the same thing if you know how to cook meat). Me? Med Rare… Nope! Shoe leather. Soda machine: FLAT! Laaaame. Also: most Fudd locations give bottomless fries with all burgers. NOPE! My husband got fries because he got a combo — remember? Flat soda! Me? Ordered a beer, do I get fries? Hayull no. This meal sucked. We were en route from Charlottesville to Philly. We went out of our way to visit a Fuddruckers. Mistake! Fail! Why the 2 stars? Because they serve ALCOHOL, which I needed in order to suppress my Fury Road impulses. Also, the milkshake was good.

LOVE Fudruckers! It’s been forever since I’ve eaten here and it brought so many memories coming back. Supposedly, this is the last and only surviving Fudruckers left in VA, which is super sad to hear.
Everything is just how I remember it to be. What I love the most about this place is how you can put your own toppings on your burger and however much you want as well. Their toppings bar is filled with the freshest fruit and filled to the brim. Lettuce, tomato and onions– sliced and diced, salsa, pickles, jalapeño, yellow pepper, jalapeño hot cheese, ketchup, mayo, mustard, you name it! All the essentials are there.
Not to mention, their burgers are so juicy and their buns and soft and chewy as well. Fries are also pristine.
Come by, just writing about it makes me want to go again. It’s great for the price and so delicious.

Alright. the first word that comes to mind is ‘confusing’, the second.‘interesting’- but not in an ‘ohhh aahhh’ kind of way, more like ‘hmm, really?’ I will say I loved that they supported the event Vindicated Pit bull Rescue, it’s a great cause and a few solid groups came out to show support– thank you for hosting the event! That being said– there weren’t any postings, or signage in the restaurant so if you came in and wanted to support the cause without realizing it was happening, it didn’t seem possible; you had to have a flyer printed from home– I thought they should have either had flyers around for people to see and to choose to support, or that each meal some of the proceeds would go to the cause– in all honesty I’m not sure if that was the case, I certainly hope so!
The reason I was confused (mind you it’s been over 10 years since my last visit and I was a child then) I didn’t understand why everyone was standing below the food board– I thought we were waiting to be seated. nope, you order fast food style, take your buzzer to your seat of choice and wait to grab your food. Once you get your food there’s a section for toppings which are all do it yourself and condiments, again– do it yourself. I just wasn’t expecting it, perhaps going in knowing that’s how it worked I would feel differently but my friend and I agreed it’s nice to go out for dinner and have your whole meal prepared for you– maybe that’s just our opinion since we both had hellish days at work. The atmosphere was a bit odd, it was pretty dimmed lighting. I will say though, there was a manager walking around greeting tables, he was friendly and made it less awkward in there.
I ordered my burger medium, it was more medium well than I would of liked but it was a decent tasting meal, the potatoe wedges were also decent. My biggest disappointment– the chocolate shake! I get that a lot of places don’t have chocolate ice cream so they add chocolate syrup. my shake was really just vanilla ice cream, womp. I have to say though *Catita* the lady busing tables was so sweet and so friendly, she was my favorite part of the evening, thank you Catita for being so kind and helpful!

Update: A shift supervisor send me a message on Unilocal apologizing for my negative experience at Fuddruckers and let me know that my feedback is EXTREMELY important and that I’m a valued guest. She then went on to say that she would like to have my telephone number and my mailing address to discuss my visit further and to mail me a guest pass for a meal on them.
At first I was a little confused about what further details she could possibly need because anybody that’s read any of my reviews knows that they are extremely detailed and lengthy. I wrote her back on Unilocal over a week ago and provided a very lengthy description going into further detail about the employees present during my last visit. I did not want to give out my mailing address or my phone number but after going into further detail in my response to her there were no other details she could possibly have asked about that I hadn’t already provided. I explained that even though I didn’t want to give out my phone number or mailing address that if she wanted to try to rectify the situation by sending me a meal on them she could send me a Fuddruckers e-​card to my email address and I provided her with my email address.
That was a week ago. I haven’t heard any response. Thinking back to my response where I was describing the employees present during my visit, I have a strong feeling she was one of the employees I described. Maybe that’s why she decided not to respond. Nice.

Diet Barq’s rootbeer? Vanilla flavored Barq’s rootbeer? That ALONE gets 5 stars.
I speak of the awesome touchscreen Coke soda fountain machine that has EVERY flavor known to man. I’m not sure what Mello Yellow is but they have it!
I ordered the Elk burger for $ 9.99 which is kind of expensive but I haven’t seen many places serve a large member of the deer family so I had to try it out. I ordered it medium rare and it was juicy and fantastic! Gone are the ostrich burgers I used to order in the early 2000’s but elk was pretty damn good.
You can dress your burger any way you like at the condiments bar. They have every topping an all American burger could want. I never order fries or sides instead I just make a deliciously ghetto toppings salad to go with my over topped burger. Lettuce, banana peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, pickles, are healthier and better tasting than fries.
