–10000000 stars. Still have not heard back from Firehouse about what happened. what does it take for us to get our money that they stole from us back?!

With all the hype around this sub shop, I found this eatery to be fair at best. My daughter picked me up a steak and cheese from there today. The portion was fine, but the quality of their sliced steak was surprisingly weak. The steak was sinewy with more gristle than I’d ever expect. If I was to order from there again, I’ll absolutely avoid their cheesesteak. Can’t talk to the other subs… will post my candid feedback if and when I try another variety.

I went to Fire House Subs for the first time– the sub was excellent— service was attentive and extremely polite. When I entered they greeted me and looked up at me That was nice as some food places do not. Tables were clean –floor was clean and easy to read menu and a wide selection of subs. Very nice!

I was hungry ok?! Sue. Me. The food here is OK. I can’t really judge it too much because its definitely better than Subway, and that’s not saying much. When you come in the employees always greet you with a «Welcome to firehouse» to give you that warm feeling or possibly nervous. I mean some days they are enthusiastic about it and would scare the living soul out of you, and other days it’s like a terrible«Dry Eyes» commercial. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that they try but sometimes it gets a little creepy lol. When it comes to variety they have a few selections that are worth trying. Now the best part about Firehouse Subs are the sauces! They have a lot to try from sweet to put you in the hospital spicy! Literally, a friend of mine was put in the hospital because of the hottest sauce they had. Lol he couldn’t take the heat, so he should’ve stayed out of the kitchen. Overall, I’d say come here if you have no other choices.

This place has GREAT subs. The ingredients are fresh, staff is friendly, you can really taste the quality of the food. And the location is very convenient if you live in Fairfax. I would say WAY better than Subway.

I just went here for the first time earlier this week and loved it! The place is real clean, the drinks are huge and the subs are the best I’ve had in a while. I used to really like the Penn Station in Fairfax but now I think this must be the Penn Station killer. Come here for subs.

Great place to go for a quality sandwich. Firehouse is unique in that they steam the meat they use. The pickles are really good too! This location is clean and has a great staff that is friendly.

I stopped for a quick lunch after shopping near by. Ordered number 7: cheesesteak on a wear bread, it was ok. Loved the pickle.

First time here. Ordered a veggie sub. Drove home. Unwrapped it. Got a sub full of meat. I do not eat meat. I paid for a sub that I had to throw into the trash. Called and asked to speak to a manager. Was told that there was no manager there. Absolutely never, ever going back. Waste of time and money. Also, it took them a really long time to make it and the bread was slimy and soggy when I unwrapped it. The wet bread broke apart into two pieces and the filling fell out, so even if it had been the right sub, it looked very gross and unappetizing and hard to eat.

Yuck! I’ve eaten at Firehouse subs once and never again. I love subs, but I don’t know what they put on theirs that makes them taste so weird and funky. Won’t return.

I have eaten at Firehouse Subs twice. Most recently was a couple of days ago on a Sunday afternoon in early March. My wife and I were hungry, and she was craving sandwiches. So we stopped here for a quick lunch. I ordered the steamer sub, which is basically a pastrami sandwich. My wife ordered a cheesesteak sandwich. I’ll start off by saying that the food here is OK. Not great, not even good, but will do if hungry. My main complaint about my sandwich is that the pastrami was super thin and had very little flavor. The thinness reminded me of shaved ham slices. It definitely did not even come close to being a great sandwich or even a good sandwich. I feel similar about the cheesesteak sandwich as well. Although there was lots of meat, the sandwich lacked flavor. The cheese was flavorless and the steak was dry. We can tell that it was not freshly made. In the end, I think Firehouse Subs is just a more expensive subway. I’m not a fan of subway, but I think I would rather eat at subway. The subs at Firehouse subs were nothing special, and I do not recommend eating here unless you really need to.

No «welcome to firehouse» and after waiting 20 minutes, the bread was not toasted. Not good. Will not be back.

Great subs! Service is friendly, staff is helpful, ordering was easy, dining area is clean, tables sit very close to one another, food is delivered to the table when ready, they have the coca-cola freestyle machines. The dining room is noisy and for some reason always a little chilly. But I’ve tried three different sandwiches, my son has tried two. All were great. About 50 bottles of a variety of sauces(mustards, bbqs, hot sauces-labeled 1 – 10 for heat) line the counter for your own variations. Priced like subway but way better food.(Technically my daughter, who only eats the bread, says subway rolls are better).

I’m a fan of Firehouse Subs. It is comparable with Pot Belly’s which is also my favorite sub place. I usually get the NY Steamer which has corned beef brisket, pastrami, AND melted provolone — delicious!

3 Stars. Friendly, polite service. I ordered the Italian, large, 12 inches. Sorry, that did not come out right! But that’s what I ordered. LOL. Anyways, it was $ 10 and change. The med was $ 8. So I got the large to save the rest for later or for lunch tomorrow. Two people could share the large. The sub was tasty, except the ham was way too Virginia hammy-sweet for an Italian, could barely taste the geneoa salami. They steam the meat so its warm and cheese melted and the bread is toasted. My only objection, get rid of that huge red counter. I hate it when you cant really watch them make it. I’m from Philly. Up there you can watch them make the hoagie and ask for a little of this and a little of that That’s part of the experience. Here, I just hope it comes out the way I want it. If I could see, I would have asked for extra salami. Pretty darn good nevertheless.

I used to be a big fan of subway because of their $ 5 footlong deals. Now I’m getting kind of sick of them. So it was nice change of pace to try something else. I need to stop thinking I can get a big sub for $ 5 which ain’t exactly delicious to begin with. The subs here at Firehouse certainly ain’t big or filling but they are pretty delicious. Hats to day I’m a fan just yet but certainly will come here again next chance I get.

Super easy access. Love this spot! Busy but quit service. Come here cuz we was shopping at PetSmart, and nothing better than wat healthy. Firehouse now has a good low cal sub so we have been doing this specialty. We love the staff, young guys but focused on service and next, next next! Floor litle dirty, but I guess its due high traffic. We were very pleased with service, quality and dynamic of the team. Clients were nt loud like some other location, so we can eat in peace.

Firehouse Subs is a good sub place but not my favorite. I had the turkey sub on wheat and it didn’t make me go WOW in my mouth like other sub chains in the area. I would still recommend this place. I would recommend grabbing a smore brownie. Now that my friends was one of the best brownies I have had before. Please note that this location has one of those fun soda machines that you can pick a variety of flavors. I was able to have vanilla coke zero(one of my favorites sodas).

I was pretty underwhelmed by this place. I really like the concept — that it was started by firefighters, and that there’s over 20 sauces to pick from when you pick up your sandwich. But the meat was just meh. I admit that I’m not a meatlover — I tend not to eat it except to get protein in my diet or if it’s a good quality meat. This was not one of those good quality meats. The pulled pork sandwich sat heavy on my stomach and made me want to take a nap while my stomach digested. And it wasn’t just me — my husband IS a meatlover, and he also wasn’t a big fan.
