Derek Johnson

I went to Dr. Johnson for the first time this past week because I wanted an allergy test. I have been struggling for a few years now with hives/​itching that seemed to come out of nowhere and felt it was about time to get to the bottom of it and figure out what was causing it. First off, the place was easy to find if you know how building addresses and suites work (think I saw some people on here complaining about it not being clearly marked – that is not the case). The inside is very clean and nice, and the receptionists were both lovely, polite and helpful. I didn’t have to wait long at all to be seen. The nurse who saw me was very nice. Dr. Johnson came into the room soon after the nurse left and I told him exactly what’s been going on with me. He knew right away exactly what was wrong and clearly explained how to treat it. I didn’t even need to get an allergy test. The appointment was quick and painless, and Dr. Johnson is very funny.

I went in for a consultation and he told me there was nothing wrong with me. I suffer from chronic hives, and he refused to help me. After insurance I am now left with over $ 100 medical bill out of pocket.

Dr Johnson treats both my children with their allergies and I am very satisfied with him. He is personable and competent. What I appreciate about him is that he really takes his time to listen and address any questions, concerns. Any time I have come in with paperwork/​lab work he always makes sure to thoroughly go over it with me and provides me with additional information. His office staff is courteous.
Recently, my daughter had some sinus issues and he took the time to explain to her that a sinus rinse would be a good idea. For demonstration purposes, he pulled up a YouTube video of a 4 year old girl using a sinus rinse. My daughter enjoyed the video (she especially found it funny when Dr Johnson pointed out that a «big boogie was getting ready to come out»). She felt confident that if a 4 year old could do it so could she. She went home and did the sinus rinse.

Well, I will be going here for the next several years for my allergy shots. The staffs here are great and very friendly. I never have to wait for long for my shots. I just wish that I have done this sooner.
They also do flu shots if you need to.
