I think they are the only Cardiologists at Fairfax Hospital. I had my third heart attack two weeks ago, The only time I saw a Cardiologist was when he put the stent in. The office personnel refused to fill out my disability paperwork until I saw a Dr. It took several calls to straighten that out. After two-weeks I saw a nurse-practitioner, who said I could go back to work, full-time. I questioned her and she was adamant. I asked for a return to work note, she said I didn’t need one(maybe not, but my company requires it, and they want a Dr. to release me back to work). Finally, I found a new Cardiologist, and called to cancel my appt. with Dr. Tanenbaum in November. I was told, they had switched my visit to Dr. Ramakrishna. No reason was given. I hadn’t liked Dr. Safko or Pollock, I was miffed at the N.P., I was angry at being charged to see a Cardiologist, when I saw a Nurse with a Master’s degree, and I called six hours ago about my return to work note, and they have not replied. I find the whole practice to be stress inducing.
