Tried to return a gift that I found to be badly designed to Brookstone. I had my gift receipt & did not want store credit. I was told by the manager that I needed the original receipt for cash. I asked why & was first told that the price may have changed & since the gift receipt didn’t reflect the price it was not good for cash. I continued to ask why the store would not know the price since the gift receipt Had a number that could be checked in the computer. The manager agreed that he could check the price but the store policy was no cash for gift receipts. He agreed that the policy made no sense but his hands were tied. I believe that this is very poor business practice & I will not shop there.

I stopped in Brookstone the other day to check out their current iTunes/iPad speaker system options. I was looking for something that supported AirPlay and would allow me to stream music from my iMac over my network down to my garage. Sadly, they did not have what I was looking for. However, the staff was so friendly and helpful — I have to give them four stars for their customer interaction.

I bought a IPAD recently and wanted a case/keyboard so I went to Brookstone. They have a leather bound case with Bluetooth capable keyboard. I had it a couple months before I finally went on a trip and needed the IPAD and Keyboard. The letter H kept coming off while using it. The store took it back with no questions asked and replaced it with a new one. Great customer service at this store.
