This place is hidden — I’m not sure how you would find it unless you knew to look there. It’s in an office complex full of dentists and doctors, and set back from the road. I live less than 2 miles away, but I’d never seen this salon before, and I only found out about it through Unilocal.
The salon’s ambiance is new and modern — very different from the shabby office complex you see on the outside. Once there, I did wait about 15 minutes, but it was prom season so I don’t think this is the norm.
I don’t remember the name of the woman who I worked with, but I believe she’s the only Indian woman there. I was coming in for a short haircut (donating to Locks of Love), which is ironic because I hate how my hair looks when it’s short. I gave the stylist complete freedom and just asked her to pick a hair style that she thought would look good on me. She was very fast — I’ve noticed that in the past, people have multiple goes at my hair to get it straight, but here, the stylist got it straight on the first try.
I have to admit that I was a little hesitant when I first saw my haircut (I attribute this to my fear of short hair), but the longer I’ve lived with it, the more I like it. Ultimately, my hair is now very dynamic, and has many potential looks. She angled it in the front, which gives it an attractive feminine touch even when I have my hair tied back. I’m able to curl it up so that my hair looks light and almost Animé-​like, if that makes sense. And I’m also able to curl it in if I want a typical bob cut. I’m really happy with my haircut, and I hope I’m able to find the same stylist again!

I followed Erin Motley to Andrew Taylore, and I am very happy about her move. This is such a calm and relaxing salon with no pretense. Everyone is super nice. Erin — I can’t say enough great things. She is very talented — I am so lucky to have found her! She is phenomenal with the highlights and I love my haircut and style. I regularly have people stop me on the street to ask me who does my hair. If that is not telling enough. I was very unhappy with my mother’s hair color, but she lives in Indiana outside of Chicago. Three days before my wedding, my mom willing allowed Erin to color/​highlight her hair for my wedding — my mom had never even met Erin. My mom looked fabulous for my wedding, and she was so impressed with Erin and wished she could have Erin do her hair all the time.

Coming back to the area after being gone sine 1998, I had no idea where to get my hair cut. A good friend I’ve known since junior high directed me here and gave me a couple stylist names to ask for (Amy and Arlene). They open at 9 which is early for a salon (at least in my experience, maybe it’s normal out here) but made it super easy to get an appointment right away. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside as it’s part of an office complex, but it’s very warm and inviting inside. Amy did a fantastic job on my hair. I was unintentionally a little vague about what I wanted and when it was all done and I realized I hadn’t been specific and actually wanted it a little shorter here and there, she said it was no problem at all and fixed it. Very friendly, very professional, nice atmosphere. I’ll definitely return. They offer a huge variety of services; maybe I’ll spoil myself with a pedicure next time. Prices are as expected for a good salon (wash, cut & blowdry for $ 45+) and totally worth it. Oh, and at your first visit they give you a coupon for 20% off your entire next visit! Closed Sunday and Mondays.

I only got to use this place once but it was a quiet clean place within walking distance of my house. How I didn’t find it before, I have no idea. My daughter and I both got our hair did and had a wonderful experience. A great choice and far better than the «shopping ctr» salons in the area.
