We chose this hotel on a whim due to a death in the family. Needless to say when we got there we were not impressed and I walked in and cancelled. Was told by clerk on duty to call«Expedia» as we booked through them for a refund. I called after the funeral(1 day later) and Expedia contacted the hotel. Red roof would not refund due to me not calling them and cancelling… hello I physically walked in. Then Expedia checked again and said they could not refund because they had already been billed… That is such bologna. I am an accountant and you can write a credit memo to offset the invoice and Expedia would not be billed. Needless to say I will not go to an Red Roof Inns EVER and Expedia has possibly lost my business as well. NOSYMPATHY for someone who loses a lost loved one. Furthermore, the hotel is not in a safe location… so if you have children think twice.

Not bad for an economy hotel as we paid about $ 40/night for this. We got in late and the room smelled of smoke. Not bad enough to go and ask for another room but there was definitely an odor of it. Carpeting was worn out. Other than that room was clean. HVAC unit made quite a bit of noise. Employees were not friendly nor unfriendly. Not sure if I would stay here again. Maybe for $ 40 again I would!

Room was a basic room. No frills, but I wasn’t looking for frills this time. The girl behind the counter was very nice & professional. However a uniform instead of a T-shirt & hoodie would look better. Room was 95% clean. The vents on the A/C were dirty. Otherwise it was fine. Yes they give you small amounts of soap & shampoo, but I brought my own and that’s also how they trim expenses. Speedway next door was handy. I would stay here again.

A «you get what you pay for» place. The room was the most basic I’ve seen, but it was cozy and clean, so good for the price. The air conditioner was indeed old and a bit loud as other reviewers have mentioned. They don’t have breakfast but there are great food options across the Fairfield Rd.

Less expensive than most hotels around here… Bring your own conditioner, they are beyond frugal, they give you shampoo in a mustard pack container. Also check your bill they will charge you$ 1.50 for the safe if you use it or not, why not be honest and charge a buck more for your average room.

We stayed here while visiting family. Great location is close to shopping, dining, etc Room was decent size and quiet, but it smelled of smoke. This is now a 100% no smoking motel, but our clothes smelled after we left. I bought linen spray for the pillows so I could sleep. If you can’t do any smoke smell, ask to check out the room first.

My friend and I drove up from Texas to help out another friend… we needed a room for overnight and Red Roof Inn was minutes away from our final destination. The rooms were nice and clean, and the service desk person was very nice as well. The beds were pretty comfortable, but the heater didn’t work very well… that’s the only complaint we have about it.

We are picky thrifty travelers and our stay at this Red Roof in was a hip-shot decision.
