The hotel gave us the call, the Aurora call. Like a fire plan, we head out to our predetermined location. Supposedly Hagelbarger Lookout is a great vantage point to see the Northern Lights phenomena. We parked and waited for something spectacular for three hours; we were antsy for some light action. For the next few hours, our routine was: In and out the car, freezing ourselves to threshold, then warming up by car heater; and repeat. At exactly 2 am, a band of grayish white light appeared like a muted rainbow with several other bands intensifying then fading. Defiantly Aurora struggling to strut her stuff. Unfortunate for us, she played hard to get this night. Choosing rather to hold back the goods for another, more special night. Extremely cold(& perhaps blue balled) we submit to defeat and relish in this near hit to third base. Ah, Aurora, you flirty bitch. Next time you best be on fire.
