My mother and I went into this shop looking for a quilt pattern. The two ladies working pretty much ignored us — no hello, no nothing. We asked them where the patterns were and one lady waved to a few areas of the store. No help whatsoever. We felt really uncomfortable especially since we were the only ones in the store and the two ladies were discussing a woman customer(not in a good way). Pretty fabrics(pretty high priced tho) but we expected to be welcomed and helped in some way. We have never been to a quilting store where we were not welcome with open arms, asked lots of questions, and personally helped. I suppose they don’t appreciate new customers. We will never go back no matter what they have to offer.

I visited this quilt store yesterday with my sister, who had discovered it a while back. I make fabric covered journals, and am always on the lookout for awesome patterns and designs to use as covers. This store does NOT disappoint! I fell in love as soon as I walked in — they have SO many beautiful fabrics I had a very difficult time limiting myself to just a few, so I’ll have to come back up and get more! Gave me a $ 20 gift card for spending $ 250(they apparently keep track of how much you or someone else in your family spends in their computer, and when you reach the $ 250 limit, voila! Gift card!). It is a little on the pricier side(most of the fabrics I got(cotton) ranged between $ 10 – 12 a yard, but WOW they are worth it! Stuff I’ve never seen in a JoAnn’s Fabric, or anywhere else for that matter! Thistle Dew is going to be my new go-to for all my quilting fabrics! :)
