Peet’s Coffee & Tea

Peet’s is a wonderful departure from Starbucks and you can really taste the coffee here. I’m so happy their coconut beverages are back for the season! I’ve had the coconut latte (hot and iced) and the javiva and both are delicious. They even top the javiva with coconut whipped cream! I can’t have dairy and they make my drinks with soy. Even the coconut whipped cream is non dairy since it’s made with coconut cream. I would love to try their Black Tie coconut version, but since condensed milk is an important component of the drink, I can’t really make that without dairy and have it taste the same. I would come here everyday but Peet’s locations are hard to come across. Locations are also found in Raley’s stores, but in my experience, the drinks are just not as good as the ones you get at the stores. I prefer this location over the one near Lohmens Plaza (the closest one to my job) because that parking lot gets really busy, and the store gets crowded. This one has more seating and is more open. My favorite food items there are: the salted caramel rice krispie treat, mini lemon bundt cake, pumpkin cake, the ham and cheese croissant (not in all locations), and their vegan ginger cookie (best ginger cookie I’ve had).

Pros:
1. Good location and plenty of parking near the building.
2. I am only tea drinker, so, can only attest to the teas. Very good. Snacks good too.
3. Floor to ceiling windows on two walls. Nice bright natural lighting.
4. Outdoor tables and chairs.
5. The staff is always friendly and easy to deal with.
6. Female bathroom always clean and stocked.
Cons:
1. No free refills on the tea.
2. No lemons for the tea. But all Peet’s have that policy. So, bring your lemons in a baggy.
3. Too crammed. Place is too small, tables crammed too close together, and often there is no place to sit.
4. The hardwood chairs are unforgiving.

This place is amazing. They always make the coffee right. I’ve been to the Peet’s inside the nearby Raleys and they make horrible coffee, even if you order the same drinks, but this Peet’s is always consistent and friendly as well. I also really like the vibe of this Peet’s, unless it’s on a busy Sunday and it’s packed. It’s got a great view and nice environment overall.

I like this peetes alot, but the customer service seems to be going down. We come here for iced lattes and purchase lbs of espresso here regularly. Im here now 2÷17÷16 at 5:45) buying an lb of espresso and I was ignored by a girl in green shirt and large black glasses with dRk brown hair as well as the girr with light brown hair, jeans and a white shirt– I was trying to see their names. Mike came in from outside– assuming a break– and helped me. The girls were too caught up in their conversation to care i was there. When they realized they still didn’t acknowledge me. Much thanks to mike, Who was a huge help! But seriously Ive been in your shoes before– i worked at Starbucks and Jamba– greet your guests and then continue gabbing

First time visitor to this location. I had a peppermint hot cocoa and it did not disappoint! Best part was that is wasn’t scalding hot like when you order at Starbucks so I was able to immediately enjoy while catching up on some work. I will definitely be back!

I think I prefer Peet’s coffee over Starbuck’s. Service at this store isn’t any better or different; no special teason to come here over any other coffee shop in town.

sooo, the employees at this location are the best! I only go in, maybe 2 times each week for my medium Americano with extra extra room (what can I say, i use ALOT of cream-​hence 2Xweek) and the barrista remembers my name!!! Everyone is peaceful, friendly and strives to make the «Peets» experience a pleasant one, you can tell that they realize that for some people they are the first human interaction of the day and they want it to be pleasant. I would name names, but I would have to name all of them!

After a bad experience, a manager reached out regarding my Unilocal review and quickly addressed the issue. I even recieved and hand written note expressing how she appreciated my patronage and would address the said issues. This definitely shows management goes out of their way for customer satisfaction.

Went to get a cup of afternoon coffee and use the wireless. They needed to brew more coffee and it was terrible. Tasted really bitter like they poured it over old grounds. Then the wireless was really slow. Very disappointing experience.

I do not care which Peets you want to try, they are all good. I’ve been to many, S.F., Berkeley, Fairfield, Vacaville, both in Davis, and about 10 – 12 others including the Raley’s grocery stores. They ALL beat any Starbucks, Dutch Bros and anything else you wanna throw out there. Don’t Forget Fremont. I have 1 suggestion for those hot summer days. Mix ½ & ½ the Jasmine Lime Tea Cooler with the Berry Pomegranate. It’s Delish!

Carla, Carla, Carla… we love Carla! She makes every stop at Pete’s a great one! Her customer service is excellent and she always has a smile!

The girl who rang us up was very pleasant and nice. We ordered a french roast pour over and a small iced chai latte. We forgot to mention what size we wanted for the black coffee so she assumed my bf wanted a small when he really wanted a large. No biggie. She changed it to a medium without charging us the extra. We said to go but my BF’s coffee came out in a ceramic mug & my chai latte was hot. She quickly apologized and changed both mistakes for us. She also told us to keep the hot chai latte if we wanted. The drinks were awesome but the mistakes weren’t so 4 stars for this location.

Nice place with nice people. I’ve visited more over the last week and the team behind the counter is starting to recognize me. Maybe I’m just like everyone and love the small town coffee shop where I’m recognized.

This Peet’s is friendly and an always stop for my husnand and I when we come home to visit familly in Orangevale. Their lattes always seem to be great. I always get a fat free Carmel latte and it’s as strong as Schwarzenegger and smooth as John Trvolta’s velour jumpsuit.
I’ve spent many times here do I g homework in college and meeting with friends over a cup. I miss Peet’s dearly in SLC, but that makes it all the more delicious when I get it.

I work at this Peet’s currently, and I must say how much I love the customers! There are so many amazing regulars who make our day. We love to have a chat or give a free coffee here and there to the amazing superheroes that make our job! :D

Love this location, and it’s not even my local store! It is my halfway between work and home stop.
Just turned me on to Ethiopian Super Natural, after a haircut next door. LOVE IT!
Always friendly and give great recommendations.
When they didn’t have enough to fill my ½ lb. order of one blend, they gave me a full ½ of my second choice (plus just shy of ½ of my new addiction.)

This is one of my favorite Peet’s locations. Not only are the staff super cool, but parking is a cinch, there is always outdoor seating and some sort of Unilocal check in special.
Located in the Safeway parking complex, you have Big Spoon and a Great Clips next door.
If you sign up for their email list, you get notified of specials like buy-​one-​get-​one-​free and things like that. Starbucks doesn’t have as many promotions as them! Also if you buy any beans, you get a free cup of coffee on the house! Or I think they give you a discount if you buy a different type of drink. Decaf is always brewed on the spot if it hasn’t already been freshly made.
One of my most coveted Xmas gifts was a $ 50 Peet’s gift card. That should tell you plenty.

YUM! Love the Unilocal deal right now for a $ 1 off a vanilla latte. I get mine with Almond milk. Always have great experiences at Peets!

this location is inside the Raley’s. coffee drinks are fine. pastries are meh. i tried a couple different scones, and was unimpressed with any of them. my bf had coffee cake, which he seemed to like better.
it is a full peet’s, but that doesn’t mean the service is the same as a regular store. the girl working there is pretty quick, i’ll give her that. ordering was a little questionable. i ordered a latte, and she just stood there staring at me, clearly waiting for something. i looked confused. finally, she says «hot or cold?» uhm… hot. isn’t a latte always hot, unless you say you want it iced? whatever. i was afraid to make the drink too complicated… wasn’t sure she could handle anything «special».
the bf ordered an iced mocha. she made him a latte. when it came up he pointed out he ordered a mocha. she actually kinda argued the point with him. sorry, but he orders the same drink every day, everywhere he goes… and i was standing right there. i assure you, he didn’t say latte. regardless, debating it with him was absurd. she didn’t remake it, just added chocolate.
pretty sure there’s another peet’s in the area. if i lived there, i’d be looking for it.
