Great place… The food is excellent… They always have at least 10 pies available… We had the maple walnut pie and the winners circle pie… The maple walnut was amazing… It’s like a pecan pie but better… There was a maple sauce poured over it, delish… The winners circle pie is a toll house pie, also excellent… Monday is Mexi-Monday’s… I had a chicken chimichanga that was awesome… They brought out two huge chimichangas, it wouldn’t have been offended if there was only one, that’s how huge they are… I highly recommend!!!

This used to be my favorite place to go. But things have gone down hill. Don’t go thirsty, drink refills are just a myth(not only alcoholic drinks, but water too). And the food was very underwhelming. Our pizza was undercooked, fries were cold… hoping they pull things back together and get back to the way they were a year ago.

Always switch it up, but no matter what I love their food. You get what you pay for that is for sure :) The staff is very friendly and they make sure your not waiting long. Once you order if it’s not too busy they usually have your food right out. I know the last two times I was there I waited about 10 minutes for my food. Will always be one of my favorite small town restaurants.

Very disappointed! We have been here before and things have gone downhill. 45 minute wait for breakfast, had to ask for a refill. When the food finally came not one word of apology for the wait. The building itself is shabby and the bathroom dirty. The food mediocre at best and i think a little pricey.

Excellent hearty cooking. Huge portions that delight any farmer! Food is consistently good. Friendly staff and owner. Experience Vermont at its best. Try the Wheel Inn.

I have been to Paris, and I have been to Rome, but I have never found any restaurant like The Wheel. This is a must for anyone in Benson, if you find yourself there. People have cursed me for never ordering the chicken and biscuits. Everything else is fried, fried, and more fried. Not bad, though.

Four stars for the Wednesday night special of Chicken an Biscuits. Four stars for breakfast. Everything else is a solid three stars. Mostly diner type fare with a smaller selection. Atmosphere varies significantly with the clientele.

Watch out! This restaurant used to be quite good but no more! I know the owner, and hope she can turn this restaurant around and return to the days of quality diner food at a good price. People are really friendly here, and they’ve got a good bar.

If, for some reason, your in Benson VT, don’t worry! There is a place to eat! The Wheel provides a solid breakfast option, I haven’t had their dinner or lunch, but, after trying the breakfast, I will be back next time I’m in that neck of the woods!(no pun intended). Its far from Rutland, but if your staying nearby, a must stop for some delicious omelettes, pancakes, or french toast. Its obviously run by proud Vermonters(because all over the menu it says: REALVTMAPLESYRUP). Anyway, I had the Stuffed French Toast, filled with a cream-cheese and maple syrup combo. They had generous portions, as all of my friends(mostly rugby players) couldn’t finish their food, myself included. They mostly ordered omelettes or pancakes, but the menu included corned beef hash, waffles, eggs, and they had some other delicious looking options in their specials list. Priced reasonably, at about $ 25 for the 2 of us.
