I enjoyed this no-​frills eatery just off the T-​Bone Trail. Don’t let the exterior fool you; the food will satisfy (especially if you’re looking for fried food and ice cream).
Awesome tenderloins and fries. Semi-​friendly staff, and for the most part clean atmosphere. Incredibly affordable.
Will definitely visit again. North off I-​80 several miles, but worth a stop so you can support local economy rather than a fast food chain. Also, The Red Barn is a great place to stop after wrapping up a bike ride!

Very small dive of a restaurant (seats maybe 20), but good, inexpensive food. Like a previous review… try a malt or shake… best is the black raspberry …

Farmers, seniors, and locals get home cooked specials and lunches here. Small in size but good selection of good homemade food. Culture shock for big city folk! This is down home Iowa country dining. Try a shake or malt to compliment that cheeseburger in paradise.
