This place is a friendly, bright, cheerful little tasting room(not really a pub) that will educate your palate on German-style beers. It opened in the fall of 2015. It usually features four brews, all recipes of the master Brewer Horst Dornbusch, a German who came to the US a few decades ago and has been deeply involved in the brewing(and guest brewing) scene in the style of his homeland ever since.(Check Amazon for a list of all his books — he has impressive knowledge of the craft.) Three of the four offerings are their standards: a light Kölsch-style blonde ale; a copper ale(Altbier style); and my favorite, a bronze ale called«Boss Flamingo» that’s a rare kind of German Dampfbier. The fourth offering changes seasonally. I enjoyed the blonde Kölsch, but my taste gravitated to the heavier, more complex styles. Looking forward to trying the black lager that will be coming out in a few weeks, I think. All their beers are available on draft in area bars and restaurants. There is a modest menu of hot food(pretzel, grilled cheese), but really this place is all about trying the brewer’s offerings, which are made on the premises. Order a flight and nerd out! Great establishment producing authentic German-style beers with an American twist.

Wow! I waited forever for this place to open and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. They offer flights and sampler glasses of a trio of beer at the moment and also offer bombers and refills for the to-go peeps. I was happy with the 3 brews I sampled over the past few weeks. They even did a special alien beer for the alien fest in exeter which was cool cuz I’m a wicked dork and appreciate that stuff. Local yokel ya know? The owners were so nice and really knowledgable about their product. I talked with joe for a while and he was totally cool. Definitely recommend for local flavor and true craftsmanship for brews! Woot!
