I hired and fired this company in the same week. Unfortunately for the owners of this business their salesperson introduced himself as «a good Christian man.» That was a turn off. Show me, don’t tell me you are a decent human being. After the job was 25% finished, he called on a friday to tell me that the job was going to cost at least double and maybe more than he had quoted me. We stopped right there. I had the other 75% of the job completed for less than I was billed by this company to do the first quarter of the job. I offered to pay the labor contractor for the work they had completed but the saleperson refused and said they would bill me later. I said I was uncomfortable with him leaving their supplies on my property especially when I did not order them and I did not want to be responsible for a large box of what he says was thousands of dollars worth of materials. He said he would come pick it up and he finally did — a week later with no notice at all. The day before this project began, the salesman sent me to buy a refurbished part for my irrigation pump that was $ 170. I knew just by looking at it that it was not a necessary or even an appropriate part for the pump. Instead I bought a $ 16 valve the next day and it works great. Where this guy came from, I do not know but lesson learned, do not do business with people who say things like, «I don’t think you understand ma’am» so I am going to try to take complete advantage of you by pretending to be a «self proclaimed good Christian.»
