Right off of 70 west as your jump on to 74 to head towards Evergreen there’s this nice little log cabin located in a food a shopping outlet. TIP: Instead of turning at the light, turn at the Jiffy Lube sign, it will save you from having to navigate your way around all the shops to find this place! Simple And Focused(Both Really Good Things) The menu was small but focused, something I really like to see in sandwich shops and deli’s. All to often, instead of sticking to great sandwiches, these smaller places will try and create some sort of monster to advertise and market as an attraction. The Smiling Moose Deli is exactly what you’d think it to be. A sandwich place, no frills, no over the top thrills, just great sandwiches. Try A Staple I had the bacon and bbq MO’ and it was really really, really good. It reminded me of a variation of a sloppy joe, however the meet wasn’t drowning in some sugary tomato sauce. The bacon, bbq, and onion straws were amazing! I got the large, and as someone who can eat a lot of food, I left really full! If you’re ever in the area defenitly go give them a try. I’ll be working out of Evergreen one day a week for a while, and will for sure be more of a regular!

I ordered 2 salads for dinner to go– a Sweet Harvest and a Caesar salad. When I got home and opened our salads, the Caesar salad lettuce was totally wilted, was definitely not«tossed» per the menu description and the servers did not give us the parmesan crisp that was supposed to come with the salad. When I called to ask about the crisp being left out, the server acted like I was inconveniencing him, and not sure why I would call about such a thing. Definitely NOT worth the $ 9.00 they charged me for the salad!

Dirty restaurant. Stopped in for lunch and the food was average(sandwiches were ok but the kids Mac n cheese was way over cooked). The tables were filthy and the salt and pepper shakers were disgusting and grimy. Had to grab napkins that were being dispensed over a stack of dirty plates. An employee was standing right next to me and just walked away without taking the dirty plates with him.

Good sandwiches and hearty salads. Way better than the big name chains that offer the same things. Worth a stop.

Stopped in for a quick bite on October 30th after a long road trip. Had the tuna sandwich and a drink. Service was prompt and professional. The tuna was excellent and very tasty! The only downside was the price at almost $ 10 for a drink and sandwich. So I will close with this, if you’re in the area it’s worth a stop but have a fat wad of cash with you !!!

I never expected to find a great little sandwich place just off Interstate 70 on our way to Copper Mountain. We had to stop for gas and we were feeling a little hungry, so I checked Unilocal and I discovered this place. I’m so glad I did. This place was awesome! I ordered a Hot Italiano and my husband ordered a Bayou Chicken. They were both delicious. We were wishing we had a sandwich place like this in our hometown of Des Moines. If we did, we’d be coming to it all the time. There were so many yummy-looking sandwich choices on the menu that it was hard to decide which one to choose. I don’t think you could choose wrong, though. On my sandwich, there were a ton of toppings and everything tasted fresh. I was even kind of sad when I finished my sandwich because I was wishing there was more. This place was just what we were looking for and the sandwiches really hit the spot. If we’re ever in the neighborhood again, we’ll definitely stop by.

Yum, yum, yum! What a great little lunch spot! After my torturous bicycle ride through the mountains, I decided to pop in and give them a try based on the awesome Unilocal reviews! I was so glad that I did! This place serves warm and cold sandwiches, salads, soups, and has little desserts. I decided on the Green Thumb because I was in the mood for something warm and filling. It was a good choice! I ordered it on a toasty wheat hoagie and it had lots of veggies, pesto mayo, and Swiss cheese all melty inside. And, there were sunflower seeds in it that I thought were odd at first, but added crunch and tasted good. Truth be told, I went here with two others who were very happy with their orders as well. So why the 5 stars… this is in Evergreen where the food choices were pretty dull, but where things are getting better and this is proof! Fast, friendly service and healthy choices made me a new customer for good!

Very tasty. Very thing I had hoped when we found this place on Unilocal. Sidecar sandwich was very tasty. I had it served on whale at bread. Wife had David the Greek salad.

My dad and I stopped here for lunch on our way to Loveland Pass. I really enjoyed my sandwich here. It was made better by the polite staff and clean eating spaces. The outside terrace by the parking lot was a really relaxing place to enjoy our meal.

Not bad for a first visit while starving. Big selection of sandwiches. I got the Thai chicken wrap which was a little mild on flavor, but overall very good.

Evergreen, Colorado– The Smiling Moose experience will make you smile! The staff today were friendly, greeted me warmly, made delicious recommendations(green thumb minus cheese), and started out my trip to Evergreen on the right path. Ingredients are fresh and sandwiches are freshly prepared. It sits on the top of a hill so you get a bit of a view. Sit at the outdoor bistro set on a warm day.

Decent food for a deli; nothing to shout about, but the facility was clean and the staff was very helpful. I had the low calorie, vegetarian sandwich with hummus and avocado(cannot remember the name) and was not impressed — very bland. Husband liked his sandwich and my daughter liked her wrap.

The Smiling Moose is one of those Delis that you only find once and you crave whenever you’re away. In a log cabin on a hill, Smiling Moose is a local treasure that should be tried by all who pass the Evergreen exit. I’ll be the first to admit that I haven’t tried a large variety of their menu. I found my favorite and I have been a loyal Mighty Mo’ eater ever since. Their signature sandwich is a glorious cheeseburger sub with great fixings like jalapeños, lettuce, mayo, and tomatoes. I used to only crave Al Roker’s favorite cheeseburger sub from the Sub Shoppe in Oswego, NY. Now, the Mighty Mo holds that place in my heart.

I had Tuna on a white baguette, with cilantro, tomato, lettuce, and red onion. It came with a pickle. They also sell Vickies chips(YUM!) My food came out really fast. And it was very good. The tuna wasn’t very heavy on the mayo so it was nice and healthy/light. I don’t think it was Albacore tuna though, it looked/tasted like Chunk Light tuna, which isn’t as tasty. My pickle wasn’t that great. Either way I like everything I had and it was nice and fast in a nice location. My sandwich, chips and bottle of OJ was 10.99(or 10 something…)
