Tanks A Lot

Called Tanks-​A-​Lot to replace my leaking oil tank and left a message. Older gentleman (cant remember his name) called me back within 10 min with the cost and date/​time. I also received a reminder call about 1hr prior to appointed time. Guys showed up ready to go. They explained the process to me and also gave me tips about my existing oil burner. They got the job done in 2 ½ hrs so I was not late for work. Will definitely recommend these guys to anyone who needs a new oil tank or tank removal.

They were responsive and provided same day service after the oil delivery service claimed my oil tank was leaking. However there were a few problems. First I was quoted $ 1800 for a tank that was too large for the space. They had to go back to the shop to get a smaller tank but for some reason a smaller tank cost as much as the larger tank. Second, I discovered later that they damaged a retaining wall in the back yard. Finally, when the town came for an inspection I was informed that the incorrect permits had been pulled. Tanks a lot pulled a permit to replace the oil line, not an oil tank. Well the oil line was brand new for a recent remodel and they never touched it… They only replaced the tank. The town inspector said he would call Tanks A Lot to straighten this out. That was last June. It’s now January and the correct permits still haven’t been pulled. At this point I may have to file a complaint with the state since a licensed contractor is required to pull the correct permits.

Contacted Tanks a Lot to remove our oil tank from the basement of our home on Cape Cod. Set a date very quickly, called to confirm the day before and they called again 45 minutes away on the day of removal. They were totally prepared and were in and out in just 15 or 20 minutes. Very nice job done by three very competent men. Could not have been any better or anymore pleased!

This place is terrible, rude people and terrible service, go ahead give them a call, I guarantee they either dont show up or reschedule and dont show up again. There prices are ridiculous as well.
