Before I got my braids, I was told that the braids were going to be $ 130.00. After my braids were done, I went to pay and was told again $ 130. The lady was about to swipe my card and her coworker chimed in it’s $ 230.00. That was not the price that I was quoted before the braids were started. This business is very dishonest and will never get my business again.

Listening is essential and these people don’t know how to listen. I asked for a full weave with enough hair left out that I could put it in a realistic looking pony… sure enough I couldn’t put my hair up without tracks showing. Multiple times throughout the install I said this, as well as let the stylist know my braids were to tight. Fast forward two hours and we’re done with the install. I ask the stylist to cut the hair in a shoulder length style and she tells me she doesn’t think the hair should be cut shorter and trims the bangs a cpl of inches and charges me extra. So in this experiance I wasn’t pleased but I still thank her and tip her 20 dollars. Within four days my hair was tugging so hard that I’d gotten some red sore and what appeared to be the start of a bald spot so I called and asked them to loosen the install and basically was reluctantly told I could get it loosened in three days… Three days later I get it fixed and all was good pain wise… I kept this install In for three more weeks. So two months later I returned to the shop for a 1 pm appointment thinking I’d give them a second chance and the stylist is working on someone else’s hair for about thirty minutes into my appt and I just wait patiently and when she finishes she states that she is nervous to do my hair and asks me to come back another day… Then in the same breath says she’ll do my hair. Then a second stylist comes in looking like ru paul and basically tells me they don’t want to do my hair because I asked them to fix their error last time. *record scratch* Okay I’ll take my money elsewhere this shop is a joke. Rundown location. Rundown customer service and hopefully soon to be shut down.

Asked for human hair micro-braids — got synthetic instead for $ 300! Once I found out that they used synthetic hair, I immediately contacted them to discuss how they would rectify the situation. Despite my disappointment over having to have my hair re-done(it’s painful, expensive and takes a long time), I was still willing to compensate the stylist for the time spent installing the braids because it did take about 7 hours. However, what I got was an argumentative stylist/salon owner who told me that I should be happy with the braids because they«look fine». While the braids are neat, it’s not what I asked for and I shouldn’t be expected to pay $ 300 for something that I didn’t want. Instead of having a low maintenance hairstyle that will last 6 – 8 weeks, I will need to take these braids out now and start over(skin sensitivity to synthetic hair and it just won’t look fresh after about 2 weeks). Rather than try to reach a compromise that we could both live with, she chose to talk over me and become argumentative. It is clear that they thought I would not know the difference, but they were not honest about the type of hair that was used becuase I asked specifically for human hair, several times no less. Integrity and customer service here definitely needs a lot of work and I will NOT be going back or referring to anyone I know!
